Wasn't there a spin off before involving K9 and Sarah Jane? I wonder if true how successful it will be - I guess Torchwood is the first spin off in a while so we may have an idea from that.

There was a one-off with Sarah and K9 called "K9 and Company" back in the 80's. I think it was meant to lead to a series, but it never happened in the end.
Not long till Torchwood actually. I saw a pic of an alien from it in a newspaper recently, very scary! :D

Ooh, interesting news, if true, here - http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006350567,,00.html

Potential spoiler, but I guess if it is accurate then it'll be announced sooner or later anyway.

Should be interesting, I never watched FOOTBALLERS’ Wives, I hope it doesn't make the episode too like that show. Doctor Who has a reputation to live up to. :D (Words may have been used wrongly but I don't know how else to say it. :D )

Not much gossip, other than I think they've finished on Runaway Bride, and Freema has now started filming with David for series 3.

I do have the Chaos book yeah - have had great fun bashing out those chords in Fine Line! :D

Yeah thats why I bought it. The last piano exam I did was grade 5 in 1994 so that was sometime ago. I have only tried a bit and not succeeding. I can't quite stretch out for those big chords. Ill give it a go again this weekend. Which ones were great for the piano?

I may watch more BBC Three tonight if I'm in as they seem to be showing series 1.

My faves for piano are probably Fine Line, Too Much Rain, Promise To You Girl, This Never Happened Before and Anyway. Most of them really :D
I remember my first piano teacher had quite small hands, but she managed OK. It's all down to technique really I think.
I missed my piano whilst I was at Uni!

Today I went up to Gloucester and managed to get a copy of the Series 2 Companion - hope I can get it full of as many autographs as my Series 1 companion! :D

I can't do an octave only 7, but Im chuffed I passed grade 5 as I was told I would only get up to grade 2.

Cool about the Companion. Yeah you have a lot of work to do if you want to get as many as before. :D

I bumped into that Bristolian on that Channel 4 chat show (he was on that show with Billie in January).

Oh yeah, Justin Lee Collins I think his name is. You seem to attract celebrities! :D

My most recent random sighting was when I walked through Soho square (to look at the MPL building) and I saw the guy with dark curly hair who presents Popworld on T4.

I wonder why he was there? If recent I dont know as Paul has other things to deal with, or if a while ago maybe for Chaos promoting?

Justin did like fidgeting with his hair - and I think only I recognised him, as it was in the business part of Bristol. I saw Geri Halliwell when pregnant in Regent's Park sometime this Spring walking her dog. Anthony Head will go down as the nicest one so far as far as random sightings go. :D As far as meetings in general Zoe Ball is high up - she too was very nice.

I saw this and thought you might be interested Matt (you probably know this already):

Dawn French's Girls Who Do Comedy
10:15pm - 10:45pm BBC1 London & South East
1/3
One of the delights of the first entry in what promises to be a funny and engaging series is putting names to faces. There are no captions until the end of the episode, and no introduction from our host Dawn French to speak of, just a quick note to point out that she's chatted to some of her funny female friends before we're pitched straight into a half hour spent eavesdropping on the resulting conversations. You'll quickly start playing "guess who" as the participants come and go with breathtaking speed, and some are more easy to recognise than others: Victoria Wood, Catherine Tate, Jo Brand, Kathy Burke, Jennifer Saunders and Whoopi Goldberg among them. But some of the lesser-known (over here) American participants might be hard to place for anyone who's not a die-hard comedy aficionado. Still, it's what they say that matters, as French leads them through giggly, loose and wide-ranging chats about what it takes to be a funny woman.

Watching Eccleston on BBC Three again makes me realise why I became a fan. He was great. David Tennant is great too, but as the series had not been on TV for so long both Chris and Russell (and off course Billie and team) had a lot to proove which they did. :D

As for the rest of the show I was sitting here in the study, but I could still hear the TV. Trying to annoy people on trains - was that what they were doing? Smelling feet.... or was that just the wrong programme? :D

Nope, that was it - bizarre! Don't think I'll be watching it in the future!

The difference between Freema and Billie when it comes to interviews is that Billie has been in the public eye for many years, and is used to the press, whereas Freema is just starting out. I'm sure she'll be great as Martha!

Well Matt, I remember posting pictures of David at Glastonbury so try and go there too with your friend - Billie may be there. :D There were some silences/dubbed moments when I was watching Hard-Fi - maybe inappropriate language. I think they (the crowd) were shouting at a bouncer. But that didn't stop me enjoying it. :D

A work mate of mine went to V and said it was great. He also told me (he goes to Glastonbury a lot) that the organiser says that he is trying/or has signed a band that will reform for the festival. Who will they be then I wonder. :D

Yep, loving V Fest on telly. I'm so going to try and get to Glasto again next year.

Hehe, I just got hold last months and this months DWM - a bit behind cause of hols etc!

Doctor Who spin-off 'cancelled'
- Sad news for all us Billie fans :(

Ah well, never mind. I'm looking forward to seeing her in "The Ruby In The Smoke" anyway.

Well I think we've got enough spin offs to be getting on with for the time being.

Nothing specific I don't think - filming goes on I believe. They were at Swansea Uni recently and I think they're off to Coventry soon, for some reason!

I bought the Doctor Who Story Book the other day (pre-signed by lots of the writers!) - Story Book. It's very good so far - beautifully illustrated!

Swansea Uni!! My brother goes there. :D And I think he may have been there then sorting out his new accomodation - I'll have to ask him about that. :D My Dr Who fever isn't that hight at the moment as I'm still recovering from my Franz fever! :D And I just found out they are on BBC Three now, so I don't know how much I have missed.

I hope you enjoy reading the book. :)

Another small Doctor Who, Mr Skinner (Love & Monsters) has been commenting on this comedy programme on E4 I've noticed.

Did I tell you I say Justin Lee Collins again after seeing him for the first time. That time was funny - I was walking beside him for a bit and two guys around your age went up to him and gave him a big hug. :D So he was recognised this time.

Ha, not quite sure why anyone would want to hug him!

Cool thanks for sharing, so a new location not Wales or London. Your post made me look on www.david-tennant.com and there are some more pictures there.

I'm still watching Franz stuff. I was the envy of some at work as many had seen their great performance at Reading on TV. I will start reading those 3 DWMs soon -I'm so behind. :D

I quite liked that video. I thought for a moment (as she appeared slightly different to her norm and seeing that chair) back to Madonna's 1986/7 video 'Open Your Heart' (only for a moment though! :D ) as Madonna used a similar chair.

Yeah I heard David would be on that programme, should be interesting.

It had props from stories from the beginning right up to Christopher Eccleston's series, including the original K9 and Bessie.

I'd like to get to the Blackpool one someday, as I've never been to Blackpool!

Yeah I heard about that, but I think it's always been in Davids contract, as well as having been in Chris and Billie's as far as I know.
Apparently he's been approached to do conventions, and the reaction is always "I'd love to, but I'm not allowed", basically! :D

Thank you! Yes, I saw a few episodes and I was amazed at how good they are. Doctor Who and Life On Mars are the best programmes the BBC have done in a very long time.

Yeah, I think a lot of people would agree with that!

One of the episodes of series 2 of Doctor Who was written by Matthew Graham - co-creator of Life On Mars!

My son is a big fan of Series 2 as well so I'll probably end up buying that when it comes out as a box set.
