Aw no, I hope you can get it sorted by Saturday!

Yeah, I'm just about ready - packed my series 1 magazine to add some more autographs to :) Don't know whether I'm more excited about the convention, or the final episode! :D
In a way, I'm glad Englad aren't going to be in the World Cup final - that would have been too much excitement for one weekend!!

When I'm back home I need to order another 18 stickers, and then it'll be complete!

Have a great time at the convention Matt. My broadband server at home has gone down for some reason. I seem to break everything I touch.

They kept that news about Freema quiet for quite a while as that interview in DWM must have taken place some time ago. Good for the BBC for keeping it quiet so we could still enjoy and focus our attention on Rose for this series.

So....any other gossip? :D

Not that I know of, but I was sat rather near to two of the Doctor Who writers in the pub last night, so maybe I should have listened more carefully to try and catch some gossip! :D

Right, I've got to start packing cause it's off to Stoke tonight! I'm probably more excited about tomorrows episode than the convention though! :D

I bought a new freeview box yesterday so I can watch Doctor Who and T in the Park - there was no way I was going to miss any chance of watching Franz Ferdinand and The Who on television.

Enjoy the convention.

Har har!

Back from Bad Wolf now!! What a fantastic weekend! Such fun! I've just rewatched Doomsday, but nothing can compare to Saturday night, sitting in a room full of fans watching it live on the big screen!! The atmosphere was electric!
And Noel Clarke was sat right infront of me!

I'm still a bit stunned by the episode, so brilliant. I need sleep now - had two very late nights this weekend (4am!).

Thats great to hear Matt! Glad you had a great time. Yes that was an emotional but at the same time great episode. Loads of TV this weekend - Wimbledon, T in the Park and I havent even mention the football World Cup Final. :D

Im glad Rose didn't actually die. And Catherine Tate - The Runaway Bride? Whats that all about? I guess we will find that out on Christmas Day. :D Only 5 months and 15 days away!

I loved the Dalek/Cybermen banter! :D

Yeah, I think Catherine Tate caught everyone by surprise!
It was brilliant to have a room full of people applaud/cheer when Jackie and Pete hugged, and again when Pete saved Rose (I thought she was going to die then). It was a bit of a weird atmosphere in the bar afterwards - most people still buzzing, but also rather teary!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho has a new homepage, with that gorgeous music from Doomsday. Enough to get us all emotional again!

(Filming for series 3 has started - people have spotted the TARDIS, David Tennant and a woman in a wedding dress (must be Catherine Tate) filiming in London last week).

P.S. Go here - http://nta.itv.com/ to vote for the NTA's!

Cool more filming - but I don't think I can rely on my friends Grandad as he lived on Rose's estate. I wonder where in London they will be filming?

Will you be going again sometime to catch the Doctor and his new companion?

Yeah, that was the shoot they did in London prior to the Cardiff stuff I think. They're in London now, so probably moving back to Cardiff soon.

I think Sopia Myles is paler than David! There's nothing wrong with not having a tan anyway :)

I think it'll be set at Christmas because RTD made a comment once about Christmas specials that have nothing to do with Christmas being a bit of a con. If they get a Christmas special for the next few years he may have made a rod for his own back there.

Ah yes, I remember him saying that.

I hear a rumour that Sarah Parrish (David Tennant's Blackpool co-star) may well be in series 3. If it's the case, then there should be good on-screen chemistry between them, having worked together before.

It was so good in fact that the press speculated an off-screen romance which they have both denied. That should be cool. If she were to have become a companion she would have been older than the Doctor. Has there ever been a companion that was older than the Doctor. (Real age, not fictional age :D ).

Probably a good thing that it's not in a TARDIS box - the series 1 box was a bit fragile and prone to falling apart (although mine is still intact, but I've put the DVD's in separate cases).

Yeah it is still pretty pricey. I got mine from Play - http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/632679/Doct...et/Product.html and I think it's the cheapest option at the mo.

Yeah I saw that ta. Its funny I fancied David Tennant before he became the Doctor and watched the Invasion (which Im watching now) and still liked him. But the day after I first saw the Invasion we saw him and I was put off him. I now am a bigger Doctor Who fan than I was at the start of Doctor Who and like David less (well I dont dislike him off course its just I was a massive fan early 2005).

And thanks to you Matt, when I talk to the guys at work who too are massive fans I understand all their lingo (they are older than me so watched it during the 70s and 80s). :D

Now that the series is over maybe we can make our own top 5 favourite episodes, favourite extra characters (other than The Doctor, Rose, Mickey etc as they were regulars), funniest, sadest and weird/crazy (if you think there were) moments.

Ok, my top 5 from the last series.
School Reunion
Doomsday
New Earth
Idiots Lantern
Age Of Steel

Does K9 count as an extra character?
Least favorite episodes were The Imposible Planet and The Satan Pit, just found them quite boring. Same goes for The Girl In The Fireplace.

What you have to remember though, is no matter how dull an episode is at least we've got Doctor Who back. The great moments easily make up for the dull ones.

Ooh, that's actually quite tough for me. OK, here's my top 5, but as with all my favourite episodes, the order keeps changing!!

1. The Girl In The Fireplace
2. School Reunion
3. Doomsday
4. The Age Of Steel
5. Rise Of The Cybermen

Favourite supporting characters? Sarah Jane Smith (although I suppose she's a returning character really!), Reinette, John Lumic, Yvonne Hartman.

Funniest scenes - most of the stuff with Cassandra possessing Rose/The Doctor, The Doctor pretending to be drunk, Rose telling off the Dad in The Idiot's Lantern, most of Love & Monsters :), Rose digging up the "council" road, the Cybermen/Dalek exchange ("This is pest control"). I'm sure there were many more too! :D

Saddest - Rose's final scene, Bad Wolf Bay in Norway.

Crazy - The final scene of Doomsday :D

My favourite episodes are pretty much the same as yours in no particular order but I changed one. :D
1. Love & Monsters
2. School Reunion
3. Doomsday
4. The Age Of Steel
5. Rise Of The Cybermen

My favourite supporting characters have to be Mr Finch (Anthony Head - anything to do with the fact I met him too I don't know :) ) Elton (he wasn't just asthetically pleasing I thought he was a great character too) and the young girl in Fear Her.

I'll continue my list later.

Looks like the Paps who were there on Friday managed to get a slightly better picture than me, well they did have massive lenses on their cameras! - Whozat in wedding gown?

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think Catherine Tate is going to be great in The Runaway Bride :)
I'm not a fan of her show, but I do think she is very talented, and as you put it regarding Marc Warren, rather "aesthetically pleasing" :D

Ah and I cant spell '"aesthetically pleasing"" oh well.

I found Love & Monsters funny and the Cassandra bits in episode 1. The Ghostbusters bit was a bit different. When Rose was jealous that she would have to share the Doctor with Mickey at the end of School Reunion that was very much like 'school stuff' :D

Another scene I like is the one where Rose and Mickey go off to investigate the spaceship in The Girl In The Fireplace - when Rose says "Now you're getting it!" to Mickey. Also, Mickey's little 'commando roll' is great :)

It's not so much her as an actress I dislike, it's just that godawful show with really annoying catchphrases "am I Bothered". It was worse than Little Britain.

Thanks! Temperatures for where we're heading look to be mid 30's! Fortunately I won't be playing a wind instrument - I'm on bass guitar, although even that can be made tricky by sweaty hands! :D

Right, I gotta finish packing!!

Afternoon Wholigans. I bought the new DWM and looks interesting with great pictures and the interview with the new companion. I also bought series 1 and then the day after (today) series 2 of Hustle - and so far they are great. I never saw that on TV.

If there were laughs that is always great. Ive read that Franz Ferdinand's aims were always to write music that made girls dance, do you have any? Im seeing them again next month in London and Im so excited. :D

I didn't realise that Hustle has had a third series and that was on earlier this year.

I dunno, but I'm sure we fulfilled all our aims as we played the best I've ever heard us to some good crowds. My personal faves were Soul Bossa Nova (music used in Austin Powers) - the flutes did great on that, and Johnny B Goode - cause I got to do a super distorted bass solo on it!! :D

I was listening to some of Franz's album today, and it was great.

Thats great - a great piece from the film ... and Chuck Berry can we call him the Grand father of Rock n'roll as many of the great bands were at first influenced by him.

I wonder when Freema will start filming on Doctor Who.

Shaun Parkes was in Casanova, he played Rocco his servant/closest friend. Is it him you brother was referring to?

Yeah I wonder when she will begin filming. I havent read my DWM, so I have no idea if they have said who she will play - it seems a bit weird as she died earlier.

Have you ever wondered who would be faster in a Honda Civic? Darth Vader, Ming The Merciless, a Cyberman, a Klingon, a couple of Daleks, and the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker). Top Gear did and you get this from this long running BBC auotmotive programme.

Doctor Who battle rattles resident

The BBC has been accused of keeping hotel guests awake with a Doctor Who tank battle.
Producers were filming a late-night military scene for the show's Christmas special last Tuesday.
The Corporation said it had no complaints about the filming in Cardiff, which went on until 4am. But a guest at a nearby hotel told The Sun the noise kept her up all night.
The woman, an American named only as Laura, was returning home from Israel.
"There were these military vehicles and guys in uniforms. There were cameras too, I figured they might be a news crew," she said.
"Later, there was an explosion. Troops with guns started shouting for people to 'get out of here'. I ran from the window and ducked on to the bed.
A BBC spokeswoman said the hotel had been alerted before filming.
She said: "We have had no complaints about this.
"We have a really good relationship with Cardiff City Council. We film there for nine months of the year. The last thing we want to do is upset anyone in Cardiff. If somebody complains to us we will look into it.
The Christmas special stars comedy actress Catherine Tate alongside Time Lord David Tennant.

Yup, tired indeed but it was good fun.

Ah yes, I still look forward to finding out what his secret message is for the Doctor (I've heard that it consists of 4 words :)).
I'd imagine you'd be able to find series 1 fairly chep on eBay. I still haven't actually listened to all the commentaries on series 1, including both the ones with Billie (shocking, I know! :D)

Dunno, might try and watch some more of series 1 with commentary - I'd got as far as World War Three.
Maybe some 'classic' Who too, I'm up for a bit of Jon Pertwee!

Speaking of School Reunion, there are rumours of a CBBC spin off series called "Sarah Jane Investigates" or something.
