I thought the audio commentary on BBC3 was an optional interactive type feature <_< Anyway, yes The Girl In The Fireplace was brill, but I'm still torn as to which has been my fave of this series so far. Choice between School Reunion, TGITF and Rise of the Cybermen! Series 2 box set is up for pre-order on Play, with provisional cover artwork: http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1003429/Doc...et/Product.html |

Got the Radio Times today - cool interview with Noel Clarke, and more stickers of course
One of my friends came up to me today and said "Billie Piper is gonna relaunch her pop career!". Apparently he read the story in a tabloid, so it's dubious as to how true it is but still good coverage for Doctor Who.

Anyway Im noticing everyone wears Converses, I can't because I have very small feet. I noticed in Picadilly's House of Fraser (I think) in the basement there is section of clothes for the younger generation (ie 15-30ish) and they had Punky Fish.

I can honestly say that the part has never been miscast, 10 great Doctors. I think some people find David Tennant a little bit light hearted after the gravitas the Chris Ecclestone bought to the role however I feel thaat is better than trying to emmulate the 9th Doctor. It's good to see a differant take on him. Also Tennant puts me in mind of what the First Doctor may have been like as a young man, with just a dash of Third Doctor charm! |

Thanks for that. I myself like David as I think he is a great actor. I don't fancy him as much as I did hehe
when I first saw Casanova - that changed after I saw him in January. But that hasn't changed my opinion on his acting abilities. Yes he and Chris are very different - and thats a good thing - not a bad thing. Afterall they did regenerate into new doctors.

Yes it was very sad, but at least Mickey went off with a bang and with a real sense of purpose. Good for him. I wonder in years to come if they may make a series based on Mickey's new life? They are starting Torchwood. I definately loved this two parter. Sad, great acting and story line and definately was nail biting at times.

bluemeanie, yw for the episode. I finally saw 'Rise of the Cybermen' and thought it was good. Did any of you catch that when Rose's alternate universe dad said something to someone about "how TORCHWOOD was going"? seems in the alternate world Torchwood exists, too. I've been reading your comments about "Rise of the Cybermen", and I myself was wondering how could the Cybermen, a race from another galaxy, be developed on Earth? Could it be that this episode is a follow up to "The Invasion"? Did maybe John Lumic might have worked at IE or been involved with the project they working on at the time? And now, he finally has decided to continue the work and take it even further? Matt, with Lumic being the creator of the Cybermen, and this episode being a prequel to how it all started, you might be right about that. But what I don't get is if the Cybermen are created here on Earth, and you throw out the notion i suggested in the last paragraph in reference to "The Invasion" episode, how do the Cybermen evolve from being created here and then are how and why end up a distant galactic world? Has that been expained or told yet? I think it is rather tongue-in-cheek that he, Lumic, is their creator with the motorized wheelchair to make him Davros like. Any rumours for next season about bringing a character from the old series to pop-up for an episode? Who would you like to see brought on? I'd like to see the Brigadier or Benton. Do you think they will bring back the Centaurins or maybe somehow write-in and bring back the Master for future episodes? Or how about if they did a backstory that would go into depth about the Final Time War? They could bring back Paul McGann for this story and explain how and why it turned out. Then do a Part 2 and bring in Christopher Eccleston for a cameo for the regeneration scene. If that doesn't ever occur, I found this on YouTube that a fan slapped together of how it might have gone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2ihlJ7Yggw...ch=doctor%20who |

Yes, Torchwood is now filming in Cardiff and should be hitting our screens in October I think. It's a series featuring Captain Jack, working for Torchwood, investigating alien going on etc., in Cardiff. Noel is writing one of the episodes. |

I am a newbie Dr Who fan and I like David Tennent more as an actor...I like his style so much more. I have met British fans and they seem so surprised that there are American fans of the show. I know that there is a huge Dr. Who convention every year in the USA. I look forward to the release of the DVD here! |

Ah yes, the Gallifreyone Convention is pretty big, so I hear. I have to say, in all honesty that so far I've preferred Chris Eccleston overall, but David Tennant still has time to prove himself
Yeah, I heard that one was quite good, however I bought his other one - St. Anthony's Fire
