Evening all. Its been a while since we've all had a discussion here. I hope you are well Mark. Did anyone watch Parkinson on Saturday. I did and was impressed with Billie and my opinions on James have not changed at all - I still think he is fab he's only 9 days older than me.

Youtube have some clips not much on Billie I'm afraid:

I am. I saw episode two this morning. Not bad. Someone told me they read a review saying that the story/direction wasn't great but Billie's performance is great. I may agree slightly. To be honest the only reason I'm watching it is because of her. Are you Jayne?

Well he did but that fact that Freema lost out to someone from a soap opera and there are awards for being reality and talent shows means these awards are meaningless anyway.

Oooh, I  Anthony Head. He was great as Giles on Buffy.

I think I got my Mom into Torchwood. Sadly, I got rid of BBC America, so I have to have my Mom tape it for me. I LOVE John Barrowman. He's so great as Captain Jack.

Nice to see you are enjoying Doctor Who and Torchwood. Another baddie that I really like is John Simm (Mr Saxon in series 3). I saw him front row in a very small theatre (80 odd people and literally was sitting on the stage) perform in the play Elling. It sold out so quickly that it eventually moved to the west end to a bigger theatre. Im so glad I saw it when it was so small. Such a fab play, and he spat on my face as he was so close and had to kneel in front of me for a scene. I couldn't believe it (that I was so close not the saliva hehe I like him  ).

I forgot to mention this but for those who get HBO check your listings for the series finale for Extras. The original date was last night at 9pm, but you'll probably see it played again. David Tennant was on it. I taped it, and haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
And I know this isn't exactly Dr. Who, but the second season of Torchwood is going to start soon here in the States. BBC America is playing it January 20th.

Well it seems to have improved this series. No stories so far that make you think, 'that's nonsense!' Episode one was a funny one and two and three having been very touching. All that and three episodes with Martha still to come.

It's because of that 'I'd Do Anthing' talent show thing. The BBC have decided to shift the schedule around. Apparently Russell T Davies isn't very happy about it!
Still, I think the timeslot will change as the series goes on, hopefully back to 7pm.

Was the last episode any good? I am going to watch it soon as I was in London for a week for work and pleasure. 4 nights at The Albert Hall - Bliss.

I really dislike Catherine Tate in it

Well I preferred the first episode to the Christmas one with her in 'Runaway Bride.'

I never saw the xmas one, but i just dont like her as an actress. I dont get it one little bit, she has been making it kind of difficult for me to watch when she has been on :hmm:

The Fies Of Pompii is Tates best one so far. I don't dislike but must admit I perfer Rose, Martha, Jack or Micky.

Yeah i would probably agree with you Mark. But you haven't mentioned Martha in your list. My favourite assistant is definately Rose, I haven't found Tate as annoying as she was in 'Runaway Bride'.
I'm still not in complete Dr Who mode as I'm recovering from a fantastic week at the Albert Hall and meeting one of my rock gods Roger Daltrey.

(Aw wow did you meet Roger Daltrey? I was watching that documentary on The Who on BBC4 the other night, really interesting it was!)

On the subject of Catherine Tate, I must say I think she is a much better actress than Freema, and I am warming to her character and the different dynamic that there is between her and the Doctor. Last night's episode (Planet Of The Ood) was definitely my favourite of this series so far!

Aand, apparently they're filming Doctor Who very near where I live at the moment, so I think I might be popping out to investigate tonight... :D

Yes I met him, got his autograph and a picture of him and me to proove it. :D I met Jon and Baz from The Fratellis too. Yes that documentary is fab, I have that DVD set as it came out around Christmas time. Although I think The Kids Are Alright is slightly better, but it has The Who in it so who cares. I ended up spending 4 nights at the Albert Hall. I have now seen The Who in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008!

Are they still filming Doctor Who then Matt? Is it for something special? Or are they filming in advance so to allow more David time before he enters the stage?

It's filming for the Christmas special. Gloucester was full of (fake) snow!

Click here to see a picture I took at the filming today!

If UNIT still has Bessie in their care does that mean she is now fitted with ATMOS?

Ha! Good thought. Although I'm not sure how the whole 'lock you in and gas you' part would work with an open-top car!

And if only Nicolas Courtney could have just a teeny cameo next week, I would be so happy!

Bet they didn't bother fitting it to the Who mobile though, because it looks stupid.

I have to say that I am extremely guilty for not following this series properly. I have often been away and last night I was waiting for The Fratellis (my Jon  who I have met and posed with) and Madonna to come on stage for the Radio One Big Weekend. I'm sure I'll be able to catch up with what I have recorded and repeats etc.

I'm sure she's coming back after what David Tennent said on Confidential last night.
