Apparently Peter Kay is doing another single for Comic Relief and look who's in it:

I remember watching Wackaday when I used to come here every summer when I was a kid, and Mallets Mallet. (You might have been a bit too young Matt because my brother was a toddler I think when it was on). Mark did you watch that? :D

I remember it well, Timmy Mallet and his dopey big hammer. Perhaps the single is going to be a rerelease of Timmy Mallet's version of Incy Wincy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bakkini?

I've heard of Swap Shop, but I don't think I've ever watched it. On the way back from work yesterday day (heavy traffic) I heard an advert for the stuff that would be on BBC One. Off course the Doctor Who one was fab but I also like the Dracular one - anyone going to watch that?

Brian Blessed performed as the town crier while David Tennant played Buttons to Thandie Newton's Cinderella in an on-air pantomime for Virgin Radio. The all-star cast were joined by the station's breakfast presenter Christian O'Connell ® for the festive production.

I think The Christmas Invasion was better.

I think you are right there. I don't know if it was because we were less familiar with the characters. There were moments where I thought Catherine could have easily plugged in more of her catch phrases and glad she didn't. Both xmas episodes were links, the 1st for David and now this one leading to the new companion. I wonder if the next xmas one will be the same?

Sarah Jane was a lot better than I expected being a CBBC program, lots of in jokes to bring a smile to an old fan like me.

Torchwood still has it's problems (hopefully next series not so many of their problems will be of their own making) but was a good finale but I don't think they can claim that it's independant of Doctor Who after that cliff hanfer!

Had a couple of DVDs in the post this morning - 'The Invasion' and 'The Web Planet'. I must be in a black and white mood at the moment.

I recorded the Sarah Jane Adventures, hopefully I can watch it tonight.

I'm totally out of touch with Torchwood, I've still only seen the first 4 episodes! I've got the first DVD set and I'm going to have to slowly catch up! I have heard some talk about what happened in the series cliffhanger though... ;)

I got back very late yesterday but I have managed to watch the first two episodes from series one on dvd. DVDs came scratched, so I'm hoping there won't be any skipping.

It was this weekend last year that we saw David and Billie film the first of the Cybermen episodes. :)

Ok, this is my third post here today. Remember this time last year Billie was on the Friday Night Project, well David is on it tonight:

The Friday Night Project was recorded last night and the photos above show David as the Doctor's new assistant!
As well as taking part in the spoof version of Doctor Who, David will be presenting the show, taking part in a Q&A session and generally joining in the fun and games!
The Friday Night Project is on tonight at 23:05pm on Channel 4.

Bits of it I thought were really good. There were times when I wasn't too sure about his sense of humour as I remembered Billie being funnier, however I did enjoy the other parts.

What was sad was I new all the answers about David.

But did you know the ones about Sylverster McCoy and Tom Baker?

I guessed those two (if you are referring to the Las Vegas competition), and got the Baker one right but not the Rolling Stone/Sylverster McCoy one?

So we are all online tonight then.

Are you talking the 'pet' variety?

I need to start looking for a wedding outfit for the summer, and maybe something to wear for my birthday party.

Ah a hamster. I would love a pet but working full time would be difficult. I miss my parents dog. Shes so sweet, has a real personality and cracks us all up.

I hope theres still stuff in the shops.

There was a lovely huuge labrador in the pub this evening, I'd really like one but we can't because my Dad's allergic!

I really should buy myself some clothes, seems all my jeans have ripped knees now!

Oh no, my brother buys them in Clarks village in Street, Somerset. It may be similar to the Swindon Village (well its a seconds kind of outlet store).

I managed to buy a pair of Nike trainers, I have never been able to before because of sizes etc, so was pleased there.

Yeah that must be a blow about you Dads allergy.

Aha, that reminds me, I also need new trainers. My Converses are looking rather tatty! I might get the same again but in a different colour. Well the Doctor does occasionally change his shoes too :)

Well, at our Christmas do, a guy I know was rather smart in his suit and convereses, I don't think he was trying to look like the Doctor, but it impressed me!

I watched 'World War Three' last night and some Jools Holland.

I wasn't able to get out to the shops today, maybe Monday morning! Aha, my mum got back from town with a Doctor Who calendar for me the other day, which was nice.

That was nice, I did see that calendar too. My Beatles one has become quite wet so I may have to replace it. Right, now its Doctor Who Easter eggs now, because I doubt there are Doctor Who Valentine's cards! :D

Hehe, yeah I don't think even I would dare send a Doctor Who Valentine card! :D

Before the new Who series started, I always had Beatles calendars.

Me too, since 1995. But I have had others in between like Jude Law and Franz Ferdinand.

I have noticed that they are repeating Torchwood from the start on BBC Three, but single episodes not doubles, so watching the last bunch of episodes that I missed may be in a few weeks time (although I saw the last 2 minutes of the last episode last night and that gave something away).

Aha, well I can finally catch up then! Yeh, I think I pretty much know how it finished. Sounds very exciting! And of course Captain Jack will be back at the end of series 3 of Doctor Who.

There are Torchwood posters and a DVD I have noticed in the shops. I also noticed yesterday some Doctor Who toys half price in Sainsburys. (Cassandra, Rose, Doctor all quite small).

Yeah Jayne, I saw that it was on, I am currently going through series 1 on DVD and taking a quick glance at 'New Earth' it looks like Billie really enjoyed working with David. I'm only saying this because I've also noticed that Billie says a lot more about David 'Ten Inch' Tennant than Christopher.

I think it works both ways. David Tennant is very much the 'STAR' Doctor were as Christoper Eccleston is more in the mould of Patrick Troughton, an actor playing a role.

I've watched episodes 1-4 of The Invasion - the animation is fantastic, really enjoying the story aswell, which I haven't seen for years.

Also finally got hold of the latest DWM so I've got some reading to do. Has anyone been listening to the new Paul McGann series on BBC7?
