Either this man is dead or my watch has stopped.
|
Mark Knopfler--Our Shangri-La Electric Light Orchestra--Shangri-La The Kinks--Shangri-La Don Henley--Shangri-La I hope this is right, as "Shangri-La" is my favourite Kinks song, and "Shangri-La" is one of my favourite ELO songs. |

Sorry, the above post looks a bit arrogant, as if I felt I should obviously know the answer. I don't mean it that way. Sometimes I write things in haste, and they don't come out at all as I intended them to. I would just edit it, but the edit button has gone to sleep. What I should have said was this:
Andy, you've made this game far too much fun for it to be ignored, and that's why they keep getting answered so quickly. That last question--your science project question--was quite good. It should win an award. So, if you find that they are answered quickly, take it as a compliment to your excellent hosting skills! Personally, I've developed a rather unhealthy addiction to this thread. I think I check it first whenever I log on. At any rate, I'm afraid I won't be able to answer this next question, as I don't know Divine Comedy or Iron Maiden too well. If I have the answer appear to me in a dream, I may have a chance. But, if it comes to me in a dream, it will probably be delivered by that Iron Maiden...thing (Eddie? Is that his name?), and that doesn't sound like a plesant dream at all. |

I just had a vision. Iron Maiden's thing (Eddie? Right?) appeared before me on a flaming pie and told me two things 1)Take the Elton John and John Cale that Andy is offering you 2)Get it right this time, or die trying So, if this isn't it...or close to it...I'm done. Research can certainly help when knowledge is lacking, but this is going too far for me. Divine Comedy—Sweden Kinks—Denmark Street Randy Newman—In Germany Before The War Iron Maiden—Mother Russia Tori Amos—Snow Cherries From France Elton John—Just Like Belgium Emmylou Harris—Spanish Johnny John Cale—Half Past France |

Yes it is right - sorry, I've had a hectic work schedule recently and have been waylaid by different sections of the board. The way things have been going, I've been starting at the top of the board and then, by the time I get down to the 'You Can Talk To Me' section, it's either time to go to work or go to bed!
Anyway, enough of my woes - time for the next link!
