Na.. I have faith.... I love my doctor.. but when it comes to what is going on with me... I know that because of the IUD (a form of birth controll) that i was going to go through this. Its normal.. just frustrating... if it continues for a long time, I will go to the doctor.

and i am not too worried about the IUD failing.... IUDs are 99.2-99.9% effective as birth control.

What is an IUD?

An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a small object that is inserted through the cervix and placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. A small string hangs down from the IUD into the upper part of the vagina. The IUD is not noticeable during intercourse. IUDs can last 1-10 years. They affect the movements of eggs and sperm to prevent fertilization. They also change the lining of the uterus and prevent implantation.

After having 3 midwives and 3 doctors hands up my you know where, there is NO WAY i'd ever have anything inserted "up there" that's why i'm having the Depo injection. Just hope it doesn't increase my appetite and lead me to put weight on. Have you tried that one Anna?

I wont TOUCH the depo shot. ... i have known many people who have done it.. not only did they gain wait.. but just felt sick for about a week after each shot. And thats a LOT of hormones being pumped into your body.. I will pass.

I didn't know that  you see i'm breastfeeding too so there's only so many things i'm able to have and with the injection I don't have to remember to take it every day (my memory isn't rubbish but I know i'd be more than likely to forget sometimes now I have Lennon on my mind)

The reason it's called the withdrawal method is because you have to withdraw all of your life savings from the bank when all of the children arrive. ^_^
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Yeah Andy, after I had Hannah my OBGYN wanted me to go on the pill but I told him that we'd go back to using the "jerk and squirt" method.

After a bit of a chuckle, he said, "Okay then, see you in a few months for your first prenatal visit with child #3"

I was also thinking about the mini pill as i'll be able to take this as i'm breastfeeding but i'm just worried about remembering to take it so maybe i'll have to put a note somewhere reminding me to take it. Anyone had experience of it? My other main concern after getting pregnant is putting on weight so anyone know any methods which won't make me put on weight?

Your husband getting a vasectomy.
You say you want to save humanity but it`s people that you just can`t stand
John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' !

He was thinking about that but there is another reason I want to have something - my periods are very painful and very heavy and I have very very heavy bleeding and bad pains for 7 days out of a month and I really want to do something about them but maybe I should have a chat with the nurse

Births / Birth control
Question 2

What are the most widely used contraceptive methods across the world?

Answer 2

Across the world, the most widely used contraceptive method is sterilization, followed in order by the intra-uterine device (IUD), the contraceptive pill, condoms, injections or implants (hormonal methods based on products similar to the pill), and traditional methods (withdrawal). Four couples in ten who use contraception in the world are sterilized, and in more than half of these couples, the woman is the sterilized partner. Induced abortion is used as a last resort following contraceptive failure, and in countries where contraceptives are prohibited or unavailable. Every year, an estimated 50 million induced abortions are performed, including 20 million in dangerous and illegal conditions that cause the death of 80,000 women each year.

Ohhh, that sucks. Why do you have to be 30?

Because the medical profession knows that in a lot of cases young women often change their minds later in life and even though the procedure is reversible it is not a guarantee that pregnancy can occur after it has been reversed. I imagine the government and insurance providers don`t want to pay for a procedure they feel have a high likliehood that in the future will be challenged.

That's too bad ... being an only child can be a drag, labor must have been a brutal for you to feel that way though. If that's the case then it's understandable I suppose.

I'm sure he won't go short of friends at school though and he has LOADS of cousins so just because he doesn't have a sibling doesn't mean he won't be happy. My experience of birth was a very horrible, frightening, traumatic one so I definitely won't be going through it again and it must have been very bad for me to be put off the idea for life

Wifey almost died with our third one. The docs sterilized her (with our consent, of course) because her OB/GYN said she had nil chances of surviving a fourth. And I had already been cut!

It was pretty scary for a while during her third pregnancy(fourth, actually, as her first pregnancy ended in miscarriage). She had an enlarged heart, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia (sp), and toxemia. The entire last third of her pregnancy was spent in bed.

She's still dealing with the heart issues six years later, which is why she can't exercise yet, except for walking. And she has serious SI joint pain that's left over from Analise. It's now arthritic.
