Nutty, it's only a year and you've forgotten the date? It was October 10 and, yes, I had the time I my life that night, too.

I went to four shows on that tour. It's easier to go to more when you live on the East or West Coast and don't have to travel so much. There was nothing within driving distance of Denver.

It's also nice to not see that obviously biased political threads as much as it's there... I mean it's really nice to know that the party I usually supports wants the terrorists to win  :P  :P  :P  Of course that's about the only thread that someone on that board posts on (even though I really doubt he'd be invited here, I'll keep him nameless)

Dean

I think most of us can figure that one out. No need to "out" him. ;) (Or her. )

Well I've already gotten into trouble for naming names here, Scottycatt, so I thought I'd play it safe

Btw I've always liked your avatar on both boards but this is the first time I've been able to say it :)

I missed this one. I agree with Molly. No ego trips with the mods and administrators.

I have always been treated fairly and respectfully by JLB. This despite having completely different opinoins on just about every issue. :o and that's awesome. ;)

Well thanks, KK. I like to think that everyone gets an equal chance here, no matter how they've fared at or been treated by other forums.

No, we don't agree on most things, but this would be a very dull place if we only had people of the same mindset here. Debate is very difficult without opposing opinions. ;)

I haven't read what you said and I don't know much about Nellie Apple. I only know that she seems to be pro animal and has a big thread on LOVE.

I don't think you should wish anybody dead and if that is what you said, Dotty, that is not rude.

I have reported the perceived threats that have been made to other people from her and someone else. All that happened was the thread would get locked while they cleaned up the posts.

Alright Nellie I have read enough. I have been on this board a long time, since its' inception and so has Dotty. How dare you insult somebody you don't know and insult somebody who is as kind as Dotty is? There are all kinds of people on this board and if we are to get out points across to the other side you need to do it respectfully. Dotty, for your information, is against killing of all kinds so what you said to her only makes you out to be the fool that you are professing the opposing sides to be. All she has ever wanted is to be understood and respected. To have love instead of hatred in this world and to be rid of murder of all living things. Stuff that you profess to want yet are unwilling to see in others.

I know she is a member of this board but I want her to know that being disrespectful here will not be tolerated by me and many others here. This is her reply to me: How dare you too! How dare you! How dare How dare you!
This is my thread and I already addressed it to the mods! So, go ahead. YADA YADA YADA YADA!!! BIG MOUTH SMALL BRAINS!

It's a good question but the sad part is that some of those people don't care for Paul. The opposite, in fact. Which makes me wonder where the moderators draw the line for who can join that place. I wouldn't mean to keep people from joining whatever message board they'd like but I think being a fan is a reasonable criteria for joining a Paul McCartney forum. If not, the board could potentially become over-run with nonfans talking about all manner of things and critisizing him. Of course he is not above criticism but I am more interested to hear how the opinions of actual fans vary.

Fiona, that is basically what has happened in the CC forum. With the exception of 1 or 2 of the new members from Canada, most of them barely even like Paul which is a shame. Not just from a musical aspect but from an animal rights/political aspect as well.

The test will be if Nellie is banned or not. And where does she got off with it being "her" thread. The threads on any board belong to the members, not to the thread starter. I believe over there the thread starter can ask to have the thread deleted, but other than that anybody can post.

You're right Linda. The thread doens't belong to anybody. When I started the big seal hunt thread I have left that very early. The thread inself keeps on growing by others, not me. The same with other threads. People who are thinking they own a thread got it wrong.

I know what you're saying, but I disagree with part of the logic...if I'm reading your post correctly.

I really really love Paul's music and the way his family life with Linda and his kids were. I thought it was highly commendable that he and Linda brought up their children as normally as they could. His kids today are a testament to that.

But I'm not on board with him as far as some of the animal rights organizations he supports. Does that not make me a fan? I don't think so. I've been a fan since February 1964 and will remain a fan. I even tried to go veggie for a few months, but was not successful.

Wouldn't it be a boring world if all of us just shook our heads and nodded in unison about everything that Paul did? I would like to think that if I were ever to meet him that he would respect me for having my own mind. Not be a mindless robot who loves and agrees with every little aspect of his life.

Every time I see that carrot thread over there, I'm tempted to be cute and say that I like my carrots steamed and stuck up a rabbit's arse!! :P Which of course is not true, just trying to add a little levity to a site that really needs it sometimes.

Miss Mary

I've always thought that Nellie was a little crazy, her posts never make any sense to me. That's awful that she said that to you Dorothy, I hope she gets banned.

I'm finding it hard to read over there lately, it seems more and more loons join every day. Some guy created a thread that went on for at least half a page and it made zero sense. I think he was wanting Paul to ask the Queen to legalize pot, it was crazy!

I've been reading over what everyone is talking about...yes, it looks as if they are still tidying up the "unpleasant' threads, and doing nothing to get to the heart of the matter. I'll bet nobody gets banned over it, though.

I think quite a number of strange ones have slipped in...my "favorite" so far though, is still Victoria DeCarlo...who keeps putting out her informational missives on the "What Are Doing?" forum.

Thanks, waitingforatrim. You've pretty much expressed my point of view. I don't see that I am any less a fan because I am not a vegetarian and do not support all of Paul's views on animal rights.

By the way, nellie apple has been out of control for a LONG time. :o

What I think what was ask" is this. If your meat eater. and, Paul came to dinner. Would you eat meat in front of him. I am a meat eater. The answer to that is this... Coursing not. I would have enough respect not to eat meat in front of him...

This is an interesting question.

If he came to dinner at my home, I should be able to eat meat if I want. I certainly would not serve him meat, because I know he is a vegetarian.

The way to handle the situation would be to have a meat dish and several other non-meat plates. Everybody could choose what they wanted to eat.

Fiona, that is basically what has happened in the CC forum.  With the exception of 1 or 2 of the new members from Canada, most of them barely even like Paul which is a shame.  Not just from a musical aspect but from an animal rights/political aspect as well.

Audrey, you asked a good question.  I would be most interested in her answer.

Whoa just read some of Yvonne Decaines masterpieces or whatever her nic is. Can you say nutburger? I realize that I am hopelessly provincial without a proper understanding of the nuances of some of the higher art forms, but Puhleeeeeeeeeeeeese.

I'm so glad you've gotton a glimpse into one of Victoria DeCarlo's "e art performances"!

Maybe I can interest you into reading some of the others, Betsy!.

I'm glad that a former poster from PM.com doesn't post here... Every post I saw from her was always either against Paul or the Beatles. She took that side of the pro-sealer (I heard from a reliable source on both this board and PM, that the reason is she likes to wear fur)but she also liked to post on the Apple vs Apple thread on the side of Apple computers. I am so glad that she doesn't post anywhere I frequent because her negativity was so wearing on me.... I know Linda knows who I'm referring to. The rest of you if you were/are at PM.com can probably figure it out... I must admit I am quite embarrassed to find me and her share the same birthday.

They certainly have their server problems!

I wanted to read over the CC forum to see what has been going on in there, but the entire forum is just dead, it won't even load.

You would think that they would have a better system there, since it IS Paul's "official site"!

I just hate to see what its become.

Oh Dean, I think I know exactly who you are speaking about...! ;)

Actually Tim what I was trying to say is that these new people don't even like his music, some never really listened, and do not respect his views on animal rights. Some of the newbies came on just to bash his and Heather's appearance on Larry King. They did just that, tenfold.

It's also nice to not see that obviously biased political threads as much as it's there... I mean it's really nice to know that the party I usually supports wants the terrorists to win  :P  :P  :P

Do you mean the Demofacist Terrorist Loving Party? I am only kidding, of course. Some of my best friends are Demofacists.

I miss the political conversations. Before they denigrated into the inevitable my side is always right and your side is always wrong tirade, they could be quite amusing. Now it is like talking to Ann Coulter. If I wanted to talk to Ann Coulter I would talk to Ann Coulter. What can one of her dittoheads say that she cannot? Instead of reading what has been belched out from some talk show or blog, I would rather read an original thought.

There was a time when conversations took place where people with opposing views could speak to each other reasonably. Now everyone seems to be trying to prove to others (or themselves) that they are right. A link to some website proves nothing. Backing up your opinion with the opinion of someone who agrees with you proves just as much. To me, conversation is not about being right versus someone else being wrong. We all think we are right.

When I first joined the world of message boards it was fairly easy to have conversations with people who were capable of having a conversation. Now it is more like a shouting contest. You have your minute to scream at the top of your lungs and ignore everything I say and then it will be my turn. What is the use in speaking to someone who only hears their own voice.

One need not always agree with someone to appreciate their art. I like the music of George Harrison, but I will never chant mantras. That is simply not going to happen. I do not eat animals, but that has nothing to do with what any artist has ever said or done. I enjoy the music of a great many flesh eaters.

The difference here is that you are a fan of Paul McCartney's music. The people being discussed behind their backs are not. They have joined his board for the sole purpose of arguing with those whom they consider to be wrong.

I keep thinking of the photo session for the London Town cover.  We're talking 1978 I believe and he and Linda were already vegetarians, but I am positive in the photos I've seen of that photo shoot that there are pics of Paul, Linda and Denny eating fish and chips.

Has anyone else seen these photos?  I'm not trying to make a federal case out of it, but it has bugged me for some time now.

They're eating chips... but that doesn't necessarily mean that there's any fish. We Brits are quite capable of eating chips without fish, even if it is what we're famous worldwide for! The photos are inconclusive.

Anyway, some vegetarians (even now, bizarrely) don't consider fish to be meat... I don't know if the McCartneys at that point subscribed to that philosophy. ;)
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Thanks, Andy for the clarification. And you may be right. Maybe at that time they were still eating fish. (I could be a vegetarian if it weren't for the seafood!)

All I can say about her lastest entry is that if her eyesight is good enough to stand at the entrance to Strawberry Fields in Central Park and be able to clearly see Julian, Sean and Yoko standing on the roof of the Dakota, then she should donate her eyes to science.

I got into a discussion this weekend about whether or not a vegetarian eats fish and chicken. I was offered both and said, no, I'm a vegetarian, I don't eat those. I know some vegetarians who do eat fish. I also think many people go veggie in stages.

Off to read about Victoria watching Yoko on the roof of the Dakota. I know my eyes would let me see through the trees to the rooftop of the Dakota from Strawberry Fields. :o

I have asked her why she is duplicating the new Beatles cd news I have put two days ago . She went very angry to me, ( she is not the sweet pie is is on the board) and she says she will go to adm if I go wiht mine harrasmant  , She has no style at all. To say the least.

To be honest, I didn't see the relevance of a thread on Strawberry Fields saying that someone had posted on the McCartney board. This seemed to be its natural 'home'.

I couldn't figure out how I had posted in this thread.  I guess Andy moved it.

Yup, guilty as charged. ;)

To be honest, I didn't see the relevance of a thread on Strawberry Fields saying that someone had posted on the McCartney board. This seemed to be its natural 'home'.

I didn't see the relevance either, Andy. Glad you moved it to this thread, although I was glad to see Skray post again. It had been like a year.

I don't make visits to that board very often.

Sorry Andy! i just got excited to see skray post there. I should have posted here..

I have asked the mods on the mp.board why the Ciruqe thread of Nellie is till not locked. That woman is not friendly at all to me. I have asked her why she is duplicating the new Beatles cd news I have put two days ago . She went very angry to me, ( she is not the sweet pie is is on the board) and she says she will go to adm if I go wiht mine harrasmant  , She has no style at all. To say the least.

I'm fighting right now to get her Cirque (LOVE) thread in the broadcast be locked.

I understand I had a runin with her too. But, They don't do nothing to her..

No, they let Nellie do. She's got little fantasy. I have learn to put credits on peoples work. And for a long time she is not creding anybody but herself. Also she did abuse mine name on her web-site without asking me permission. It was on a seal thread of her. Yes, I wil try to ruin her name here, I don't care anymore.

I think most of us already know about Nellie, Fea. I know I do and if it came to you or her, I believe you.

You all already know what I think of the mods there.

I agree with Linda. I have had run-ins with her, too.
