I don't think this is about people being nosy, as you seem to suggest Beatnut.

I think it's about them sticking up for their friends.

An admirable quality in anyone's book surely?

That said, I don't know the ins and outs of the situation, but that is the impression I get.

Hey I don't care if people want to stick up for their friends, but like I said, if it doesn't concern you then people should mind their business.

I have friends here on this board, but I don't get involved in their situations unless it involves me.

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
What it comes down to for ME (and alas, I can only speak for myself) is being told WHERE to post...WHO to like...WHAT to respond...WHEN to get mad...and so on ( I'm sure you get the drift) I don't need to be told what to do...I'm a big girl now...I can make up my own mind...make my own decisions...I don't follow the crowd...and I don't need to be PUSHED in any one direction. <_<

No-one should be telling anyone what to do here, where to post, what to post, when to post... :P We're all intelligent adults here and we can do as we please. I certainly don't think any less of anyone who still posts of the Macca board and still intend to post from time to time - when I have time, that is. ^_^

I agree, Andy.
If someone feels so strongly against the Macca board...then by all means...they should stop posting there...but they should also let this whole 'board war' bullshit go...and stop trying to get people to TAKE SIDES. Its insulting. <_<

One of the main reasons that I don't spend a lot of time at the Macca board anymore was the infighting that went on over there.

Don't let's start it here, OK?

I agree with Beatnut for the most part. Minding one's own business would go a long way to avoiding a lot of the sh*t that's gone down this year. Having said that though, there's nothing wrong with sticking up for your friends.

The people in question have always been perfectly civil to me, but if they're uncivil to my friends, then that amounts to the same thing.

It's like that guy who keeps trying to be Beatnut when a new forum starts. The only person that hurts directly is Beatnut, but it offends us all. I know Beat's a big guy who can stand up for himself, but I think it send a good message to all concerned that if you do the dirty on someone, you're going to make a lot more than just one enemy. B)

If you have a problem with anything that people write here, why don't you come and talk about it like adults instead of indulging in cyber-street-theatre?

The great thing about this place is that everyone is free to speak their minds. And that includes YOU.
This is a very open and friendly place. So come and talk and see if we can't sort out what it is that's bothering you.

I agree with Beatnut in some respects too. I am not aware of any issues that I have with anyone on either board nor do I don't want to pitch in on anyone else's behalf. I think most people are capable of dealing with matters by themselves, without any help from me.

Beatnut

...it does not concern me, I MIND my BUSINESS.I strongly suggest to the people whom it doesn't concern to do the same.

I think Beatnuts suggestion shows that perhaps he isn't quite as detached from the situation as he'd like to be either.

We are not robots without feelings we make judgments reach conclusions and sometimes want to show support for those we feel have suffered.

Yes Bill, minding one's business does go a long way. Now you can see why when someone says to me "Nutty if you're out there can you explain why you still post at Macca" it is disturbing. Why do I have to explain to anyone what I do? And most of all what the hell business is it of theirs? They're annoyed because i'm not boycotting a place that didn't do anything to me.

To me that's also not minding one's business.

Believe me if someone attacks my friends I would jump in, but it could also be another friend of mine attacking someone who is a friend of mine too. You have to know when to exercise good judgement. Most times if someone is caught in a disagreement it's best to stay out of it and let them clear it up themselves.

Sometimes when you try to do something good and 'but in', you make things worse and you could wind up being resented.

I do wish all of our cyber stalkers would just join the board and we could discuss things.

I do know how it feels to have my PMs hacked and it didn't feel very good when I was accused of sending them on to someone when I knew I didn't do it. The only explanation I can come up with is that my PMs were hacked.

I have occassionally looked there for any news, but usually I find it here anyway.

It was like that even a year ago. I wouldn't say that it was all interesting stuff to read (I usually found most topics retarded) but there were pages upon pages of new posts and yes, lots of good posts (usually by people who are now here!). Now whenever I visit and bother to check out the new topics there are around two or three pages.
However I usually don't - I hit 'View your posts' and go straight to the only topic I am interested in and the only one I have been posting in for quite some time.

How dare you inject humor into an official message board. Who the hell do you think you are? The official Paul McCartney message board should be drab, sullen, and bereft of any and all levity and humor. After all, who would ever associate a sense of humor with Mr McCartney himself?

Do you ever have that right, Olen. He took all the fun away, didn't he? What happened to you there was horrible and I couldn't believe what I was watching. I must say that the few times I sent things to him, he did nothing at all--most times not even having the courtesy to respond to me. Liz (Calico Sky) was okay and I give her credit. When my major problem came up and I asked her for help, she admitted she didn't know and sent the information to Admin. Now Admin. They are another trip.

Sarah did fine when somebody saw something here that they assumed was about them. I sent it to her and she took action within minutes. The key word in this paragraph is assume. I never used anyone's name, but got a very nasty PM from someone who made an assumption and we all know what assume means. :)

I know what you mean. I should post a couple of pm's I received from Martin, but won't. And ,IMO, they needed more mods like Sarah. B)

Becoming a mod totally changed him.  It really went to his head.

And then his head went up his a** (where it remains to this very day! ;) )

I'm afraid you can't use the name Hitler as it may offend others. Your post will now be deleted and this thread is now locked. ;)

Nutty, you're not the only one who noticed how he could lock threads. He sure loves to do that. I'm sure he is thrilled that so many of us are rarely posting there. PMs they don't have to worry about.

But you didn't put it in Mod Edit: Your post will not be deleted and this thread locked.

There needs to be a complete regime change there and bring Sarah back. She seems to be the only one with any common sense.

Maybe (PERADVENTURE) (HAVEN'T HEARD THAT WORD IN AWHILE CHILDREN LOL) we should all go there the same time and be a pain in the butt and give Martin his work load. (I really didn't say this......my Sybil personality is out today) You know post things we shouldn't. Then we'll probably all get a warning?????

Okay back to my room. :hyper:
