MiG-21Z![]() Early computer model of the MiG-21Z Originally designed by surprisingly the Birkainian Air Force itself, the MiG-21Z was the result of a rather unfortunate time for the Birkainian Air Force. After the Birkainian Civil War, the Birkainian military was in disrepair and the Air Force was the worst of 3 branches. Many of their front line fighters were destroyed and what was left was old Fishbeds, some of them missing a wing. When word came from the new government that the Birkainian Navy would get priority over the Air Force, the Air Force ordered their mechanics to try and repair the out of commissioned Fishbeds. What they got was just the thing they needed. ![]() Top view of the MiG-21Z showing how the 2 airframes are connected Taking 2 MiG-21s & combining them via a shared wing, the MiG-21Z was a cheap & easy to produce fighter-bomber. With 2 cockpits, 1 pilot could fly the plane while the second could operate the radar & guide the plentiful number of TV guided missiles in Birkainian service to their targets. After view a demonstration of the plane, the Birkainian leader, Gen. Victor Yulianov, ordered the plane be put into production by the few factories in operation at the time. It later became the mainstay aircraft of the Birkainian Air Force. Now Hypersphere Ltd. is selling the MiG-21Z to nations that can’t afford even a 3rd Gen fighter or simple does not wish for the advance & extremely complex fighters. The MiG-21Z is available to the nations of the world with 2 options. The first option is simply a new-built airframe costing $8,000,000 USD. The second is to take your old MiG-21s, put them together and upgrade the electronics to the MiG-21-93 standard for $2,750,000 USD.
