Hy-3![]() A Hy-3 showing off its looks & payload While the Hy-1 is a wonderful fighter, its primary mission is usually that of a bomb truck. In light of this, Hypersphere Ltd has designed an air-superiority fighter capable of keeping up with the F-22-class fighters. Called the Hy-3, its design is based off several fighters, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, Sukhoi Su-30 series, & the Boeing F-15S/MTD. ![]() A Hy-3 preparing to take off on a CAP Taking the wing & canard design from the Rafale and the LERX of the Su-30 and then combining it with the TVC of the F-15S/MTD and the decoupled flight surfaces of the Typhoon, the Hy-3’s maneuverability is so great, that like the Raptor, governors had to be put in place so that the pilot could not pull too many Gs. In addition, the Hy-3 uses a helmet mounted display system (HMDS) in addition to the traditional HUD. This is done so that incase of a malfunction in either system, the other can keep the pilot aware of the situation. ![]() A Hy-3 pulling into a vertical climb at the 2009 Sudentor Air Show in Sudentor, Belkaland In a move to cut down on cost and improve its logistical footprint, the Hy-3 is equipped with an engine based on the Eurofighter’s EJ200 Turbofan engine. Adding an additional low-pressure spool to the engine, the new engine increases the thrust from the EJ200’s 13,500 lbf dry thrust & 20,000 lbf with afterburner to 14,250 lbf dry thrust & 23,110 lbf with afterburner. Carrying up to 12 missiles, the Hy-3 armament is very similar to that of the Typhoon & Rafale. However, it can be outfitted to carry missiles normally used by the Su-30 and other Soviet-designed fighters. And like the Hy-1, the Hy-3 is equipped with wet hardpoints on the #4 & #9 hardpoints. just a little notice.. for an aircraft to be able to fire KH-59 series ..it may also need APK-9 Tekon Datalink Pod that would provide datalink as well as electricity to the missiles hehehe you may include that pod in the specs later however i do not know whether tekon Datalink pod would be necessary in firing KH-59P or RADAR guided variants of KH-59 |

Ok, good. At least you alerted me to a problem with the permission masks. Anywho, if you can get me a source for that claim, i'll add in the pod. |
