 Hola everyone,

I just thought I'd let ya all know I've started my first full length Star Trek story. It's set a few years after the newest movie, but hopefully will have the flavour of TOS.

 Should I have seen the new movie before reading this? I love, love, love TOS but haven't seen the new movie, not sure if I will.

 You don't need to see the movie as long as you don't mind a major spoiler. Other than that spoiler nothing is really differnet than TOS.

Turn away if you don't wish to know. Giggle. Vulcan is destroyed by a black hole created by a pissed off Romulan from the future after an elder Spock is unable to save Romulis from a nova star. Spock and the pissy Romulan are sent back in time when they are sucked into the black hole that Spock had created to try and save Romulis from the nova (fail). Thus changing the time line to include a young and old verison of Spock running around. They are unable to save Vulcan, and all but a handful (10-12 thousand of 600 billion) of Vulcans are killed off. The other spoiler: young Spock and Uhura are an 'item'. They are way cute together.
