August 26th our club has been asked to set up our race track at the Grand Opening of Smith Mountain Lake Realestate an Developement Company. They will be giving away FOUR CASES OF HOTWHEELS, which they have asked me to purchase for them, to all the children that come by an race on our track. They would also like for us to do a custom car show display. They will be having a custom show where children will return there cars in several months for us to judge. Trophys will be awarded at that time. We will be cooking hot dogs an giving them out free. This will not cost the club ANY MONEY UP FRONT, however we will recieve a very nice donation to our club for helping. They would also like to do this twice a year if we can. It will take several of us to pull this off in good fashion. I need to know what everone thinks about doing this to raise money for our club. I also need to know how many are willing to help that day. We would be set up from 10am until 6pm that Sat. This could really help the club with money we need in the treasurey an give us another chance to let the public see what we're about. Please let me know what you think an if we will have enough people to pull this off before I comit to doing it. Reply ASAP. They will be advertiseing in the paper an on radio. Lots of traffic will see us as we will be on RT 122 at Shoprite just the other side of Halesford Bridge. He wants to put up a BIG BANNER two weeks before announceing hotwheels racing. Will be outside but under cover. Plenty of room for track an other tables. This may just be a good start for us to get bigger with new members.

OK, it's all set for Sat. the 26th. Some of us will be meeting at my house at 8:30 that morning to load the track and the others can meet us at McDonalds in Vinton between 9am and 9:15am so we can travel together. Don't forget the next meeting is Friday night the 25th to discuss the next day. We will be getting a donation to the club for helping out, which we need for the next show. Bring any customs you may have for display only. We will be cooking hot dogs and giving away cars to the kids then letting them race them. The show will be from 10am until 5pm. If you have any remote control cars or trucks bring them so we will have something to play with during slow times, if there is any. Will also have a table set up to show children how to start out making customs. Should be a great day for all. We need all the help we can get, means more money the more we do, so be there. This will help us get more locations to raise money for the club. Please don't let the rest of the club down, we need your help. See you there. Oh bye the way a few directions. Go over Hales Ford Bridge, on rt 122 going towards Bedford, between the first and second stoplight turn right into the shopping center where Shoprite is located. We will be set up under the cover in front of the stores. Thanks Fred
