Rules---- What stinking Rules? Our club does what it wants to.
 No really very good question. The Hot Wheels custom classes will follow the National rules. Mild, Spicey an Wild---Novice an Pro. For some strange reason I think you may fall into Pro class. The OTHER custom classes, any brand diecast other than Hot Wheels allowed, will be broken down into the same classes as Hot Wheels With awards for them also. The "Song" related class is wide open. Top three will be picked however you may only win one award per class. You will be told by a judge if you won other awards even if your car was bumped. I think you know what we're trying to say here. Peoples Choice will be picked from all cars entered nomatter what the diecast may be. Childens class will be for 12yrs an younger, you can't enter that, an hopefully the child will have done 90% of the work on the car. Things like drilling the revites out are allowed by an adult to help the child. Drag Raceing- Run what you brung-race as many as you can afford. Drags will be broken into children an adults classes with winners from each competeing for Top Eliminator. Reaction time is what may cause you to win or loose. All money from drags will be donated to charity. Down hill raceing- Mainline cars only, none of the classics, etc. Cards must be opened at starting line an can date back to 1980. Open- Again run what you brung, even old Fords. Any changes from this will be posted before the show. If you have any other questions please ask.

 Oh! that's right me!!!!!! I've already learned I must press the button before the lights start blinking. It takes awhile for my thumb to move.
Yes, We have planned time for everyone to practice a few runs on the dragstrip. We will have two dragstrips set up to race on.I am working on having the seller of the strips come in to sell them at the show. He will be coming from Ohio. Will anouce for sure a little later. Keep them QUESTIONS coming we'll find answers VERY QUICKLY.

Hey... as for the rules... They've been posted on the site under show info for over a month... I have a habit of hiding things and then people can't find them... lol.... If you go to Show Info there is a list of prices, etc. For Info and Rules on each event just click on the event name.... We've also scheduled about an hour for Drag Practice... I hope to get a semi-official itinerary posted after our next meeting... Ohhh... and the newsletter you've been begging for.... it was written last weekend, and e-mailed out to those whose e-mail address is on our mailing list (I don't think we have yours). I'm heading to post it on the website right now. ~Amber |

Thanks Amber, I knew I seen them somewhere. I guess I got Lazy and didn't look for them
Also another question, does interior detail work like: painting, stering wheels changes, just detail work change the class of a car? You know I am going to push the rules!

To be honest I've never considered the interior as a modification in any class. I have always thought of it as detail. I'll make a major desision now for this show an say it is detail an not a modification but might change for the next show. Just for my information how do they do this on national rules or other shows? You know talking about things like this an discussing it always helps clear up things an saves a lot of unnessacery problems.

Being that I have been to the last 3 or 4 Nats. and Having entered in the last two, I believe they see it as detail also. I know most of their rules pertain to body mods more than anything else. But seeing how this is more a club event I will follow your rules. I may argue with you over it but, it still comes down to your rules. I just think the interior details are as important as the exterior details. Customizers please don't do a wicked paint job outside and nothing to the inside.

I agree, don't do an outstanding paint job then leave the interior stock. I've been telling our club members how important detail is to get points in a contest or just to make one look alot better. It's just as important to do the bottem as it is to do the top. From all I have seem it only talks about body mods, wheels, raiseing an lowering. I guess if you put a funny car interior inside it could be called a mod but other things would be changed also. Lets put it this way I like a complete custom better inside, out an under. |
