Oh we just wanted to give a BIG 2 fingers and a Kiss our Ass to the sad prat who made that YouTube video about Us against GA get the F(U)CK over it. We like what they do. We Love what we do. We are a completely different band. Who gives a F(U)CK if we've had 2 line up changes even more reason to show us support & respect because we are still surviving!!! WE have had Nearly TEN yrs in this industry with with 7 albums 5 number ones HUGE sales across EUROPE not only in the UK. We write. Sing live. We have never sold our selves out to the media. Who we thank for all their support so far but its never been about that. We're about the music love and support to all the up and coming girl bands. BUT their will only ever be ONE sugababes and even though the last album wasnt a huge hit (lol) Who gives a shit. We are not giving up. And we STILL remain (According to OVER ALL SALES) THE BIGGEST GIRLBAND FROM THE UK. Thanks to all our real fans and supporters we love you xxxx :manson |

It's very 100% true! They are the best and people need reminding of this as they haven't had X Factor and they haven't married footballers etc... it's all about the music and the babes :D |

yeah Ryan, it's albout music and the babes. that' why we had all the stories about Amelle and her boyfriend and sisters all over the news for weeks. and it was all about the music when Mutya or Siobhan were kicked out of the band because of the stupid Mutya. they may sold SO FAR more records, but that will be changed with the next GA album. GA sold over 2 million with their last 3 albums. can't say that about the Babes. btw I can't understand what's so wrong being on X-Factor. Kylie was there too to sell the average 'Wow' for example. but I guess when Kylie is doing it it's the best damn thing, but with GA it's all wrong ... |

If the Sugababes were confident in their achievements, they wouldn't have felt the need to write such stuff on Twitter, a public site. It's immature and unnecessary, and it made them come across terribly. They should realise that they're very lucky at the moment - despite the horrendous flop that was Catfights & Spotlights, they've been rewarded with working with American producers. They should appreciate that, not come across as bitter has beens on Twitter. Where on earth is their dignity? So common. If it was all about the music with the Sugababes, then they wouldn't feel the need to hammer home their commercial 'achievements' as if they count for anything. It's contradictory. "The X Factor" is the lazy way for Sugababes fans to dismiss Girls Aloud's recent achievements. Because of course, all you need is The X Factor to have one of the biggest girl group #1 singles of all time, a 2xPlatinum album. Everyone who performs on The X Factor is guaranteed such success :snot Sugababes' secured Strictly Come Dancing last year - which is just as successful and just as watched as The X Factor in ratings. It's the same difference, it's a show to promote on. If GA can secure X Factor, and the viewing audience likes what they see, then good on them. When the Sugababes can sell out the O2 Arena 3 times, Wembley Arena twice, and Manchester's MEN Arena four times (the biggest in door arena in the whole of Europe), then maybe they could be considered big. But they can't even sell out out a theatre tour - even the frigging Saturdays have done that this year. Album sales are not everything - something the Sugababes don't even have to back themselves up with anymore. They should shut up and put up with the current situation as it is, and come up with some good music that makes them a successful act again. Edited by -Jay-, May 19 2009, 09:43 AM.

I don't even have the words to explain how I feel about this tbh. If Sugababes continue like this, they can just pack their bags and get the hell out. It's repugnant to the extreme. And they can get a sense of humour and lighten up a bit too. Stupid bitches. |

Not at all, I don't have a problem at all with X Factor, it's my fave TV show. I just don't like Cheryl and GA aren't that good and their albums never outsold Sugababes until GA went on there every week selling their next single. Like Paula singing on American Idol, I think it's cheap for that to happen for everyone. And your comment about Amelle is bullshit because as far as I know she didn't sell her story to every cheap mag that GA do... They make a cup of tea and they call the Sun newspaper about it.... |

If only this came out 2 years ago when GA weren't selling that much (yes before X Factor) and Jay to be fair SCD isn't the same as X Factor. 90 year olds watch that, it was pointless them going on there. All I'm really saying is, If a Sugababe were on X Factor it would have been the other way round and no doubt most would have forgotten about GA.... |

On top of this, did Dannii Minogue sing her own song on X Factor? No! |

you have a point, but 'The Sound Of Girls Aloud' sold a million copies without X-Factor and sold out 'Taller In More Ways' or if you want compare GH-Albums the Babes Best Of. Cheryl is my least fav member as well but it isn't her fault that people are actually interested in her life. Papers only publish something if there is an interest. you may not like it but you have to agree that since probably 'Call The Shots' GA were ways more successful than the Babes and as Jay already said as long as people like what they hear and see it doesn't matter if they perform on the X-Factor or any other show. and talking about the X-Factor. I'm sure Dannii hoped to get some sort of career on the back of the show but thankfully that never happend ;) but let's stop with it. you love the Babes and I GA. that's fine you know ... |

Strictly Come Dancing actually has a wide and varied audience, just like The X Factor. Girls Aloud have appeared on The X Factor twice only. Get over it - nowadays, it's a show for acts to promote on as much as any other show. Gone are the days of Saturday morning TV slots and music shows. Sugababes going on X Factor wouldn't have guaranteed anything at all. So many acts have gone on there and seen the single or album they're promoting flop - which means people genuinely liked what they saw from Girls Aloud when they appeared. One performance of The Promise wasn't the reason Out Of Control has sold over 700,000 copies, neither did it sell this much because Cheryl is a judge. Ridiculous. They're just very popular. At the end of the day, Girls Aloud were under Sugababes' shadow for a very long time, especially in '05/'06 - GA NEVER got arsey about it, like the Sugababes have done now that fortunes have switched. And even before this switch, Girls Aloud sold respectably and consistently - every single in the Top 10, every album went 1 or 2 x Platinum. They've done 4 straight years of arena tours. That is successful. Girls Aloud's profile has been bigger than Sugababes' for years now. The media LOVE them - that's why they're written about in the press, because they know they'll sell papers. Sugababes do not have that kind of power - the only time they do is when Amelle or her family have had brush ins with the law. This Girls Aloud v Sugababes thing is ridiculously old. If Sugababes come back with a fantastic album that's promoted well and the public connect with, then that'll be great - but they've shown themselves to be bitter and deluded young women through this rant. They're only the Sugababes. Girls Aloud are only Girls Aloud. |
