http://www.lvrj.com/news/penn-jillette-held-his-tongue-once-130689158.html?ref=158 Penn is a jerk, sorry but it's true. Prayers did help Roy. He would not be with us if God had meant for him to not be here. He heard all our prayers and he answered everyone of them. As for Montecore, If Penn talked to Roy about why he calls him his life saver then maybe he'd understand Roy simply means that Montecore let him live so in turn he calls him his life saver. It is because Montecore could have ended his life be he didn't. This not a good way for me to started the day..... defending prayer, God and my hero. Penn just lost a fan. My loyalty lies with Roy of course. |

Believe me I am not. I wouldn't buy his book for anything. I will add I think everyone has a right to opinion and Penn has his. I was up at 3am when that little piece hit my email. Apparently with no sleep I'm very easily offended.

| Was It Penn who was one of the first people to show up at the hospital in the crowd of well wishers with candles after Roy's accident? I remember seeing a picture somewhere? I guess he just wanted to get his ugly mug on tv??? |

| He was and he said he stood with that group of people praying for Roy but he didn't believe that any of their prayers would help Roy. It was the medical staff who saved Roy. Sure medical staff did there thing but Roy could have still died no matter what they did. Those prayers and uplifted words and ROY saved his life. Had Roy not had a will to live he would not have. I remember Siegfried saying he went home to the JP and it was so empty there and he stood and prayed in the silence and he felt a comfort come over him. It was as if he was being told everything was going to be okay. I know I've told the story of the time I was driving and had stopped and picked up a National Enquirer because in had info about Roy after the accident. It said Roy wants to die. I looked at those words and tears ran down my face. But I to felt a comfort come over me and I knew to Roy would okay. I know some might think that's crazy but it's what happened. |

Since I could not repond to Penn on Norm's board, I will do it here. Dear "Stupid Penn", Go ahead and bite your tongue off so we can never hear your stupid remarks again to sell your book. I believe in the power of prayer and have come through many things in my life with the help of prayers from family and friends. I pray you never know the heartache that Roy's family, Siegfried, friends and fans went through that night and since. I wonder if you will roll your eyes at God when one of your children with the stupid names (Moxie Crimefighter & Zolten) ever have the misfortune of getting a horrible disease or an accident. Who will you pray to or beg to save their lives? You go ahead and live your Atheist life and I would love to see you at the gates of Heaven rolling your eyes at God when the devil drags you down to the pits of heck. Sorry Penny but I just had to get this off my chest about that two-faced Penn. Anita Edited by sitarralover, Oct 1 2011, 01:46 PM.

I think Penn was just trying to sell his book. It's not something I would buy ever. My boss' wife is a atheist and yet her husband's vet clinic used to be the pastor's house for a Baptist church. Their children now go to private school and the best one for them to attend is Great Atlanta Christian school. So their children are now learning about God. Funny how things like that happen. |
