Your morning adorable: Siberian tiger cub gets a bath 11:52 AM, June 16, 2009 Scotland's Highland Wildlife Park welcomed three Siberian tiger cubs on May 11. The cubs recently have begun to explore the park's main tiger enclosure -- but their mother, Sasha, keeps a watchful eye on them. Siberian tigers, also called Amur tigers, are the largest of the tiger subspecies. They're endangered, with only about 500 believed to live in the wild. (That's actually an improvement, though -- back in the 1940s, 40 or fewer Siberian tigers were thought to remain.) -- Lindsay Barnett http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2009/06/siberian-tiger-cub-gets-a-bath.html |
