This topic comes up in school all the time. It really pisses me off because all the teachers are like 'DENIED', and we're stuck saying 'OHNOES!'

Dude, I swear, they play more games then we do. How else would they know how to teach!?

Sincerly,
The future teacher XP

People in the media got all upset over Mass Effect, because you could have "relations" with a woman in ONE of the MILLIONS of different paths you could take. And it wasn't Hot Coffee relations, it was "hey, do it with me" "k" done. it wasn't even like GTA 4 where you hear crap....people are retarded. PUD!! Do you still know where that news clip is? post it here if you do. plz.
Anyway, we don't think, hey that guy does drugs! why can't I? It doesn't work like that. You'll notice that even in GTA 4 Niko always says plz and ty, he never accepts the offers for drugs, and you don't have to complete a lot of the hits. you can save em. Plus, the drug guys like Little Jacob are so F****d up, kid wonder why they EVER wanted to become a drug dealer! It's teaching morals!! Sure, we kill cops, we transport drugs, we plant car bombs, but we are polite, we don't DO drugs, and we see what happens to people who do do drugs...THEY SOUND LIKE JAMACIANS!!!

Although I'm a passionate gamer, I would have to agree with the media. I believe that some games do influence young children to do things they otherwise wouldn't. I don't only mean language, but there are other things, such as violence and stunts that may entice children to attempt them.

It's not really the video game associations fault - it's the parents. In the end, what can you do about shit parents?

Janus, did you vote? Cause it sounds like your leaning towards a yes...
I don't see why it's anybody's fault. Maybe kids NEED these games!! What if this is the only way to vent, and then they can't get this game and they go on a killing spree with a sniper rifle in a bell tower? huh? WHAT THEN, HUH??? In my opinion, if you go kill a bunch of people because you saw it in a video game, and in that same video game you can also fall off a three story building and get up and walk away, LITERALLY, then it's not the video game, it's not the "shit parents", it's YOU! You are a stupid moron who deserves to jump off a building trying to mimic whatever the hell was in that video game. Break both your legs, see if i give a shit, because YOU JUMPED OFF A BUILDING!!! YOU'RE A DICK!
No, it's no ones "fault." Any school shooting, I can assure you, was not because the kids played video games. It's because the kid had an ego the size of Austrailia, and thought that anyone who was picking on him deserved to DIE. That kid needs help, and should be given to him in the form of a soft, padded room, with all the crayons he can eat!

Ok, if a parent let's a 6 year old play GTA IV that's their own fault... not the game, that's just poor parenting. Also, the only people who do spazz out and take games seriously usually have some kind of mental disability. The only thing you should learn from games that is relevant in real life is: Money = Stuff. :giggle:

Oh yea, Mass Effect Fox News Video (This is uber rofl): 2 morons and a gamer

This does raise an interesting issue about kids and gaming. Video games does have an influence on kids with their behaviour and not doing schoolwork etc. However, video games does also have some positive things about them including: you can still learn stuff off video games that are real in real life, if you play a game like renegade or counter strike etc, they say that playing computer games improves your hand-eye co-ordination.

Video games keeps us occupied and lets us forget about our lives and does relieve stress, because we are all doing what we do best...GAME!!!
