the coins only purpose was the original smash quest. if you can find a new purpose for it Sneaky I can bring it back easy. As for the discussion. Zom is right in one thing, this isn't to bash anyone. No one wants to take over, we are pretty close in our board relationship. As for functionality Zom and John are both right....kinda. Zeta boards has more technical prowness than Invision...at first but through codes and hacking, Invision can pretty much compensate for anything new Zetaboards gives out originally. Also Zeta and Invision have different programming codes so if I'm right each only works for it's corresponding board. However codes are pretty much the same on both fronts and any Zeta codes untranslated can easily be swapped with Invision codes of the same nature. Therefore the host whether Zeta or Invision shouldn't be the issue, choosing a forum base because of that is simple rubbishness. Second you missed my point overall. Popularity is not the issue I was discussing, as it only refers to a namebrand and not a domain. That is for a different discussion. I was reffering to the massive amount of linkage that is already pointed to this domain. That is my problem as that is a whole lot of web traveling and board discussions necessary to be used to change the site. The only thing that should be a issue in the discussion of domains should be the forums themselves. All extras are just that extras and I'm not going to delete a site for a extra peripheral. What I'm hearing about joining the SSC is for the wii zapper that comes with Link's crossbow adventure (and we all know how wonderful that game was). My point is the matter of domain choice should be the forums themselves. The only advantage of The SSC is what could be done in the future with (basically) our assistance and I'm trying to show you the here and now. Zom you have yet to tell me how you plan to translate the entire Shining Fist rp. Zom you have yet to tell me how to translate the entire weekly challenge forum. Do you plan to recreate the entire smash bros character discussion with pics and everything? right now the SSC has only these listed things that the SF boards don't 1)skin slector 2)a catagory for friend codes 3)selctable groups 4)a community ranking system (though still very similair to the SF warning system) now lets list the thing SFF has that SSC doesn't 1)RP (yes I know it's a forum but because it must be photographically copied in order to execute properly I feel it's necessary) 2)Link to the blog 3)Link to the podcasts 4)Link to video 5)Forum imaging 6)music box 7)statistics imaging 8)that cute little pikachu that says new everytime a new post pops up 9)a freakin video that showcases the site (well actually multiple) http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=TheShiningFists 10)statistics imaging 11)a ranking system based on posts with a series of over 30 gif images to showcase 12)rp ranks as well to use to tell rping members 13)custom forum and thread icons 14)SF headlines 15):charizard: and that's coupled with the post library we have. Now it is obvious that we can recreate either or functions (and if you don't believe me I'll get you the codes as I did previously) on either or site but really wouldn't it be easier, faster and less of a pain to go with the SFF domain. SSC is starting fresh, why not do it on the SFF boards. |

Hmm i'm not sure how to answer that. I think the big issue is the RP forum and if its as big as you say it is your right, moving it might be a hassle or even impossible. if thats the case its nothing a redirect forum on the SSC can't handle. also the SSC has way more stuff then that, i have tons of more features i havin't rel;eased yet but plan to do shortly. to begin with SSC also has for normal members: * = unreleased to the public yet but will be shortly Account Blogs An award system that i have started coding* An Online/Offline Avatar/system EXP/level* (used for in progress PVP battle system) Money Per post (used for shop) A shop* More BBC codes Fully Customizable profile A PVP battle system* For Staff and admins: everything invisionfree has A moderation Control panal (where all flagged topics andpost are seen for all staff to deal with) Admin assitents (can access certain parts of the ACP) Easy Name changes. A website maker (accpets every kind of HTML code) and thats just to name a few. I noticed that most of the things you listed where either image related or link related, images and links to the blog and youtube videos and whatnot and even the music box. can be placed anywhere on the boards and are easily transferable. the SSC isin't starting fresh as i had big plans for my boards all along, not just smash related either but things like the PVP system, the shop and much more are going to give the SSC members many reason to start posting. and Again i cant bring all these features over to SF. I think if the SF took what it has and came over to the SSC big things could happen for both of us and many more activities, tournaments and get togethers would ensue. thats my opinion. |

Okay. Well here's an idea. It just might be worth considering. Why don't we just share a chatbox? That's pretty much the main thing anyone ever uses, at least over on our side. It's not really a merger. But I don't think people really want one anyway. No one has to move anywhere. Hooray. No more controversy over whose boards are whatever. And we get to hold on to our names and histories and individuality that we seem to be so proud of. And about the forum activity. This is a bit harder to accommodate since no one is willing to compromise anything. The both forums are pretty much open to members of both groups already, so basically it would need to be more about promoting that. Also, a second option to increase activity is to get new, active members who aren't already obligated and stubborn. Honestly, moving to one site or the other is not going to work at this rate. (And I don't see the rate making any drastic changes anytime soon.) Perhaps expanding on this idea will help us reach a more feasible solution. |

I like Moonlights Idea. that actually might be the best idea over all. and we can have a direct link to ach others pages. We won't merge but we'll become something different, like rivaling friends or whatnot. Moonlight I like your idea alot. |

O ok thats cool, yeah i can go for that, but the question is which chat box do we use >.> edit: i dont think the boxes can actually be combinied but they can be altered to say like "SF and SSC chat box" and have links to both boards under them or somthing |

Yes. Seriously, does deciding which box gets deleted matter? Make a new one and give admins their due. |
