For SVO, it appears the company has received its share of sunny days, and moody days full of dark clouds and rain. It's roster and staff have each received their fair share of changing weather and it seems all are sailing the waves to make it pass Vendetta. But right now, today, somewhere in Mexico, Canadian Perfect himself finds his space and time to himself as he sits on a sunny beach away from everybody. The sand is white and glows upon the sun's presence and as Chris Wrestling sits on the edge of the beach with the waves washing and flowing over his feet. The sand is hot, but not burning, a slight comfort as he sits on the crystallised land enjoying the sights and feeling that surrounds him. The heat waves from the sun help as he relaxes, dressed all in white, three quarter length white trousers, a free flowing white shirt, no shoes, no socks, nothing else except his silver jewelry and clean cut hair. But all is not as peaceful and relaxing as it seems, the scenery, the situation, all seem relaxing and enjoying, but the days to come won't be so much. The days count as soon Chris Wrestling will find himself back in the ring, sure he's had a week off to endure in his own problems and findings, but these times call for a return to reality. Chris Wrestling will find himself back in the ring, back with the times, as this week on Showdown he finds himself facing Samuel Amos in a Double Jeopardy match in which Crippler will be facing Jay Wildman at the same time and in the same ring. He watches the waves, he watches the still air and calm area and land surrounding him, slightly squinting from the bright sun. But usually finding himself talking to Joey, or Amanda, he now sits alone, nobody surrounding him, the words just flow from him as if they were natural. Chris Wrestling: I don't understand anymore, where does this path go? I've already secluded my past and looked back beyond all that is, from the beginning right up to today, I've laid path to a road nobody else could do better, and today I'm treasured, but how do I shine with nothing to help shine? He looks around him, but still an emptiness of euphoria is all that surrounds him. Chris Wrestling: Technically I am unstoppable, if anyone says otherwise I can only resist by informing them otherwise and challenging them to bring their threat my way. He washes his hand through the fresh waves that approach his feet and flicks the water off his hands back into the sea. Chris Wrestling: Samuel Amos now wants to try me.. Amos has denied himself the mental capability that I am who I am because of everything I have done and everything I am capable of, and therefore puts himself in harm's way, in danger. Chris Wrestling lumps a fistful of sand in his hand, gripping it tightly as it sieves out of every gap possible, he watches it sprinkle back to the ground in a small mound. Chris Wrestling: Amos, a man that appears lazy in the average eye to what this business represents, hard work, passion, heroism. Amos is far from a truth seeing eye as he disguises himself with the diseases of this world posing as a mule in a hoard of heroes. He does not deserve the spot which true fighters have earned, cheating his way for a headlining spot against the World Champion. Not only has he already failed to win himself gold, he now must try again and yet he will fail again, he will not succeed against Wildman and this week he will not succeed against me. Chris Wrestling again looks around, as if he's to find a meaning behind his explanations and reasoning, but once again, nobody is there to hear him. Chris Wrestling: I cannot accept a man like this even trying to battle against me, I cannot accept he believes he has a chance. I spit at such an oppponent, and I will deny him his chance. Such an opportunity has not been earned in my eyes and I can only live up to my name as Canadian Perfect, as the man I am to do justice in this World by stopping him in his tracks. Distracting him the sounds of footsteps and sniffling can be heard behind him, Chris Wrestling turns his head only to be graced by the present of a gorgeous golden retriever dog. It walks up and sits aside Chris Wrestling dropping a ball from its mouth into the sand, panting away with its soft and precious eyes he looks at Chris Wrestling, showing its kind, caring and loving presence. Chris Wrestling: What do you want? Chris Wrestling seems drawn back at the appearance and welcoming of this dog, but it looks at him with his soft eyes and representing a happy attitude, kind of smiling at Chris Wrestling. He can only smile back at this wonderful creature which has been strongly named 'man's best friend' and bring himself to place a hand across the head of the dog. Gently he strokes him, waving his hand down the flowing hair of the dog, and continues to fuss him as the dog joins Chris Wrestling in looking out at the view lying before them. Chris Wrestling: What are you doing out here huh? You're a good looking dog, what the hell are you doing out here on your own? You got no owners huh? Chris Wrestling checks and finds a dog tag attached to a steel chain around its neck and reads to himself the name and address of the dog. Chris Wrestling: Benjy, I suppose in many places a typical name for you guys.. I've always thought about getting a dog, I had one as a child, it was technically my best friend, I was always moving around, I had what you'd call a strange childhood, but he was always there to be my friend. I bet you' re some boy or girl's best friend aren't you, you seem like it, you're a nice dog, a hero in this world maybe even, you need to stay good and be good you know.. 'Excuse Me' Chris Wrestling is quickly distracted once again, turning around to see a small family of a man and a woman, and a young boy toddling beside them. Chris Wrestling dusts himself off as he gets to his feet, the dog begins to circle Chris Wrestling with some kind of excitement but Chris Wrestling is brought to the family that has just addressed him as he looks at them with curiosity. Man: Sorry if our dog is bothering you, he always likes as much attention as possible. Chris Wrestling looks down at the golden retriever who stares up at him, still excited as if he wanted to play, Chris Wrestling leans down and grabs his ball, chucking it down the beach sending it chasing. Chris Wrestling: Don't worry about it, dogs are a gift to this world, treat him good and he'll treat you good. Chris Wrestling looks down at the young boy that toddles next to his mother, and in the next few moments, all becomes tranquil as steps take a turn. Chris Wrestling begins looking around, somewhat docile, the area surrounding him sort of euphoric, Chris Wrestling gets a hint that something is happening. Slowly he sees the man talking, but doesn't hear him, merely the wind and sea is all the crashes through his hearing, he starts to panic, looking around more aggressively. And then he spots something out of the corner of his eye, a man standing at the top of the beach near the mounds that separate land from the beach. But it isn't just any man, a similarity, a likeness, a presence about this man standing there is all that Chris Wrestling can bring his eyes to, is it Joey? In Chris Wrestling's panic disturbance, the man has approached Chris Wrestling to check he's okay, but Chris Wrestling hasn't noticed and on being grabbing by the arm by the man suddenly everything returns to normal. Chris Wrestling's eyes shoot to his arm where the man has a strong grip, fearing he might fall over or something, Chris Wrestling wrenches his arm away aggressively and pushes him away, somewhat angry and places his attention back on the man. But he's gone, Chris Wrestling scours the beach with his eyes and spots him walking away up the beach, he can only with a panic go running, treading hard and troublesome through the sand. It feels as though he's being pulled back with the hard track he runs through, heavy footed on the crystallized land, but he refuses to quit and continues to chase down this man, is it Joey? It seems as though, no matter how hard he runs or how fast he runs, the distance between the two remains the same, although the man he's chasing down is only walking. Chris Wrestling refuses to quit though, the possibility of his missing cousin wondering before him, he continues to chase on with dear hope of getting to him to find out who he is. Chris Wrestling only finds himself lost in his own chase though, forcing him to continue he finds himself falling behind even more, no matter how much he tries, the man's walking is somehow more powerful to keep his distance. Suddenly Chris Wrestling panics as he turns, he watches the man turns off the beach into a street and through the hot sand he runs fast and hard and gets the feeling the sand is trying to keep him back as it gets tougher. Chris Wrestling reaches the exit and looks out, only to his dismay he sees a crowd of people, hundreds dancing around with music blasting through the street, its a festival of people dancing and singing. They're covered in masks and costumes, celebrating something unknown and uninterested by Chris Wrestling, but most noticeably he sees the man he's been chasing wonder off into the crowd, it now seems as though he's leading Chris Wrestling, provoking him to follow, is it Joey? Chris Wrestling, way too curious, way too interested, way too confused about everything, all he can do is force himself to follow, bare footed he slowly steps forward treading his way to the crowd that the man disappeared into. He stops though, on the edge of the crowd where people seem drawn back from crossing the line, Chris Wrestling seems hesitant on crossing their line, bordering on questions. But he walks on, spreading his hands and fingers out to push his way though as if climbing through the bushes to another world he wonders on cautious, treading on with his eyes wide open. People are throwing themselves everywhere, dancing, celebrating, going wild with their disguised selves, Chris Wrestling is unsure how to take them or think of their appearances, but it's only just beginning. Just like before, that euphoric, tranquil feeling begins to kick in, Chris Wrestling tries to resist and gritting his teeth he shakes his head and clenches. Unsure how to take it or how to react it feels like a drug trying to send him asleep, or send him the other way. Chris Wrestling is forced to fight it and continue, keeping his eyes open and tense up his muscles, he avoids getting his feet stamped on and being bumped into, he can't stop following now, is it Joey? The feeling only gets worse though, after maybe fifty feet of being thrown around the crowd, being bumped into and battered by these people's celebrations, and this feeling refusing to go away. Chris Wrestling stops, dizzy, lost, looks around, things begin to get messy and horrible for him, this tranquil feeling he's in, his blurred vision leads him to balance his stance and look around. But it's still for the worse, it seems as though the people are ignoring his position in the crowd and try walking through him, paying no attention to the suffering he's going through. Chris Wrestling looks up, the sky has dimmed and the brightness that was before on the beach has gone, and a grey infected blue covers the sky. But also as Chris Wrestling's eyes stare up at the sky he notices something else, a crow is perched on the edge of one of the rooftops, he's drawn to the bird, but only in a way of warning as the bird watches him. Chris Wrestling's eyes sway away from it only to notice another, and then another, and it's only the start as more and more begin appearing, lining themselves along the edge of the buildings above him and the crowd, looking down and watching him. It's as if they're warning him, he sways around almost feeling drugged up, but still can sense their indicating he turn back now and provoke the possibility of danger ahead, is it Joey? Chris Wrestling puckers his lips, angry, using his strength to push the crowd of people that surround him out of the way, they don't seem bothered as they continue to dance and party. Chris Wrestling barges his way smashing into some people, throwing his arms wildly to move people out of the way, but no matter how much he forces his way through with anger and aggression they don't seem bothered to the slightest. But suddenly Chris Wrestling is brought to a halt, stopping suddenly in his tracks, almost to a full stop apart from the delusional state he's in causing disturbance in his balance and vision, he sees Amanda. There she stands in the crowd of people, standing still and wet, pale and innocent staring back at him, it only infuriates him more as he throws more people out of the way and continues passed her. But again as he barges his way through people and makes his way through the crowd still in search, again Amanda appears, this time he doesn't stop and tries to ignore he continues on. She appears again, and again, no matter how much he ignores her, her face seems to appear amongst the many trying to strike fear into him, he questions why everybody is trying to stop him? Is it Joey? But on his drive to force himself through the crowd, he continues to find himself in panic and threat, almost claustrophobic enclosed within the hundreds of people. He stops again, almost to catch his breath, but the faces, the people, the masks and costumes taunt him, it almost feels as if he's being mocked and teased as he battles through them, even his birds still watching him from the rooftops. The faces begin to appear darker though, due to sundown? He doesn't think so, fearful he tries to ignore, but the fact that they appear darker, closer, bigger and more threatening, even the fact that Amanda is hiding behind them is worrying, he marches through it. He tells himself he needs to find Joey and battles through, until the end arrives, suddenly he exits the crowd and comes to an open space, just like the other side there was a border line nobody wanted to cross, and Chris Wrestling had reached it. He looks around, its just an empty dusty path leading to a hill with a broken down dying tree atop of it, and nothing else, including the lack of light, and the lack of the man he was following, is it Joey? Chris Wrestling stands still, staring into the area he has been brought to, but something else also seems weird, the feeling has gone, nothing is blurry anymore, nothing sounds weird and he's standing up straight. In fact, it's weirder then it seems, the music is gone, the barging and pushing of people behind him is gone, Chris Wrestling continues to stare at the broken tree at the top of the hill but he forces himself to turn around. But with the thought that he no longer hears anything for what he just walked a hundred yards for no longer exists, poses a bad sign, as much as he wants to turn around he's drawn against it. Slowly, very slowly he turns, eyes being the last thing to turn as he now faces the street he just walked down, he doesn't react to something he should be reacting to. He stares, it's empty, no lights, no music, no masks, no costumes.. no people, the battle he just made to get here, was for nothing, but how, it was for Joey wasn't it, is it Joey? Chris Wrestling can only turn around, confused, questioning everything, he even looks back to check but still, the street remains empty and unexplainable of what just happened. But one thing that does remain, the hordes of birds that perch on the buildings above him, still posing their position on Chris Wrestling, telling him to turn back. The land has definitely grown dark now, the mountains beyond the hill have blocked out the sundown and no light is able to get through making the land weary and dark. The area seems secluded from the general public and is rarely greeted with anybodies presence, he stares at the tree, feeling the effect that he shouldn't go, but all he can do is tempt himself as footstep follows footstep. Chris Wrestling walks up to the tree, looking around, curious, eyes searching around the broken untreated wasted tree that lies a large stop on the hill. Chris Wrestling cannot find any answer or prize to the mind battle he just suffered, until after turning his back, he suddenly gets the feeling, that feeling you get when you know somebody is behind you. Chris Wrestling, before turning around looks to his right as he hears the flock of crows perching the rooftops go mad and caw like crazy, he's battering his own faith and hopes, is it Joey? He turns around as fast as possible, and there he is... it's Joey, or is it? He looks like him, it would generally be him, but standing on the other side of the tree as if to avoid him he keeps his distance. Chris Wrestling: Joey, what the hell is going on? He doesn't get the answer he hopes and walks around the tree to meet him, but it seems no matter what he does, no matter how much he walks around the tree, Joey remains the opposite side of it. Chris Wrestling: Joey, what the hell is going on? talk to me.. This person, Joey or not continues to stay away from Chris Wrestling for some unknown reason, and Chris Wrestling continues to walk around the tree, and this person continues to stay away. Joey?: It's me dude, don't worry man, I'm okay, I just can't be with you right now. Chris Wrestling: Why not? Come here man I've missed you, things are getting crazy in SVO and nobody is there anymore. Joey?: I can't come to you, keep your distance dude, for now, at least, please. Chris Wrestling: What? What is this, some kind of game, I don't have time or patience for your games dude, I need your help. Joey?: Don't worry, you don't need help to beat Samuel Amos, you're a great enough superstar to win, I never made you the winner you are, I was merely there for guidance and helped in your road of righteousness. Chris Wrestling: You're wrong, you were there for more then that, you did more then that, where have you been? A quiet moment takes place, it's as if Joey's thinking, unsure as he looks around unable to find an answer, Chris Wrestling persists on walking around this tree to get to him. Joey?: I don't know? Chris Wrestling: What you mean you don't know? Where the hell have you been dude? You got kidnapped from the arena, no one helped me find you, no one helped at all, nobody admitted to taking you, what the hell happened? Joey?: I was kidnapped? Chris Wrestling: You don't remember? Joey?: No? That's strange.. I don't recall anything, I don't know how I got here.. Joey looks around at the unfamiliar ground he walks upon. Chris Wrestling: You don't know how you got here? Then why are you here? Again it's as if he's forced to think. Joey?: I think I'm here to warn you? Amos right? Chris Wrestling shakes his head, confused what Amos has anything to do with this. Chris Wrestling: What about him? Did he do this to you, did he take you? Joey looks around, continuing to keep his distance thinks hard about, its as if he's struggling to find the answers. Joey?: No, I don't know who, but it wasn't him, I don't know, I can't tell you? Chris Wrestling: Then what about Amos, why bring his name into this, what's going on? Joey?: I.. He shakes his head, slightly suffering. Joey?: I need to tell you not to fade, do not let him stand strong against you, you think he's just another weak soul lost in the crowd of tormented, but he liked many others can and will if given the chance steal whatever he can from you. Chris Wrestling: I, what the hell are you talking about? Nobody will beat me dude, the world of SVO will be swept clean as though me wiping my finger across a side of dust, Amos included. Joey?: You can, and you're able, without a doubt and even he knows it, but you must not be open to the possibility that this will be easy, he will stand strong against you and you must return the favor, be strong Chris, do not let Amos mislead you. Chris Wrestling: I won't, okay? I won't let Amos do anything in regards to beating me, now come here dude, please, stop walking away from me.. A few seconds pass, and the relieving moment arrives as Joey comes to a stop, looking over the broken three at Chris Wrestling watching him rush around to him. Joey stands open and lost, as if to be guided and helped in this situation, Chris Wrestling walks up, amazed and astound by this, and with the relief he's back rushes up to him and goes to hug him. He closes his eyes and reaches his arms forward leaning into him, but a second passes and he instead films himself slamming into the dusty and dirty floor. Chris Wrestling: ARGH!!! WHAT?! With a huge rise in pain, he looks around leaping off the floor quickly, confused, holding his arm that he landed on, his eyes scour the land around him once again, looking for Joey. He can't quite understand how somebody can disappear within those seconds though, with such an open land, surely he'd see him running away, or something? But no matter how much he looks and blinks, turning and looking a far in all directions, lost amongst himself, holding his hair with a tight grip. Again causing distraction his head shoots back to the street, the flock of crows that all sat perched on the edge of the rooftops suddenly scatter and flutter of into the sky. Maybe hundreds of crows battering their wings as the crowd of black winged creatures flock together into the sky making things darker then they should be. Chris Wrestling is confused, but opens up to the possibility they're done watching his mistake, they tried to warn him, and tried to turn him around, but Chris Wrestling's persistence lead him into this confusing mind battle. Chris Wrestling is left staring up at the sky, still confused and unsure what just happened, refusing to believe Joey was here one moment and then gone, he continues to work his eyes on the land trying to find him. Unsuccessful, he finds self doubting and losing to himself, he must now back down from this and he must return home to prepare for Amos. Left with the mind battle, why would Joey arrive and send the warning to fight Amos at full capability? Why would Joey appear disillusioned and confused himself? Is it really Joey? |
