Who were those people that he kept seeing in his dreams? And in his visions, imagenings, hallucinations or whatever the hell those things were that he kept experiencing. Were they actual living, breathing human beings? People from his past maybe? Or were they people from his future? People that he had yet to meet, and this was somehow a sign of things to come? Or were they people he had met during that night, the night he could not remember. What were their relevence to him? And what was the point of these things he kept seeing in his head? Was it a message? A warning? Was it memories? Or was it simply nothing more than pure science fiction? His imagination running wild and getting the better of him?

For a while he had managed to stay focused on the task at hand, on winning the SVO Championship. But as life often does, it turns around and bites you in the ass when you least expect it. The interview...until that point, he had managed to keep his...experiences...away from the public eye, but the interview changed all that, when he had an "experience" right there in front of a rolling camera. He knew there was a good chance the footage would get out, and if it did, it would mean that people would know a weakness of his, a weakness that could prove fatal at Showdown.

He hated it. He hated knowing that Simon Austin had witnessed one of his "experiences", he hated that another person had seen him like that. But more than that, he hated that it kept happening. He hated that he did not know why, or how, and he hated that he never knew when another one would hit him. It was like walking around with a bomb strapped to your chest, knowing that, at any moment, the thing could go off and you'd be gone. There were no warnings, no danger signs to watch out for, no hint of it before it happened, it just...happened. At the blink of an eye, one second he would feel fine, the next he would be waking up on the floor somewhere, with a mind full of new visions that made no sense to him. And there did not seem to be any pattern to it, no certain thing, feeling or experience that triggered them, their occurences seemed random, which meant that he never knew when another one would come. It could litterally happen at any moment, any time, any place...and if it happens at Showdown, during his match against Grimfamos....the title shot will be gone.

He knew he had to do something about that. He had to try to solve the mystery of this before Showdown. He was desperate, he knew this could be his last opportunity at getting a championship match, and if he could eliminate the risk of having another blackout during the match, he would do it, at any cost. Whatever it took, he would do it...even if it meant trying something that was against his own beliefs....

We open up inside a small waiting room. There is a couch and a small table, with various newspapers and magazines on it, positioned in the middle of the room. The walls are plesantly decorated with various paintings, and there are several plants placed around the room as well. Sitting on the couch, dressed in black jeans, a black sleeveless t-shirt and a black unbuttoned shirt, is Rey Rosario. He is leaned back in the couch, his head tilted back and his eyes closed, as he is quietly listening to the wobble of the ceiling fan, enjoying the cool, refreshing air it is sending down on his face. Suddenly the peaceful, quiet setting is disturbed, as the door opens and a middle aged man walks out.

Man:" Mr. Rosario? I am Doctor Wesley."

He said, extending his hand towards Rey. Rey just looked at the hand, and then back at Doctor Wesley, with a cold look on his face. After a few ackward moments for the doctor, he pulled his hand back again.

Dr. Wesley:" Shall we go into my office?"

Rey slowly got up from the couch and followed the doctor into his office. As the doctor closed the door, Rey looked around at the office. It looked just like he had always imagined a psychiatrist's office would look like; It was all dressed up and fancy looking, expensive furniture, expensive paintings on the walls, and all of it setup to create a calm, peaceful environment...but all it did was piss him off.

Dr. Wesley:" If you will just take a seat and we can get started."

Rey looked around, there was a couple of chairs set up by Dr. Wesley's desk, but there was also a couch set up in the corner of the office. Not sure where he was supposed to sit, Rey just picked the couch, and Dr.Wesley pulled up a chair and sat down in front of Rey, holding a pen and a notebook in his hands.
Dr. Wesley:" Okay then, what..."

Rey:" Lets get one thing straight here!"

He said, cutting the doctor off.

Dr. Wesley:" Okay."

He said, in a calm voice.

Rey:" I don't believe in you people. I don't believe that you can do what you claim to be able to do. And it seems to me, that every time people go to talk to you people, they always end up being more screwed up than they were to begin with."

Dr. Wesley:" Okay."

He said, again in a calm voice, as he slightly nodded his head.

Dr. Wesley:" And why do you feel that way?"

Rey:" It's not about feeling, it's about fact! You go inside people's head, and you dig away, but instead of actually helping people, you put in doubts, fears and who the hell knows what else! You people ruin lives, marriages, frienships, careers...and you get rich by doing so."

He said, angrily.

Dr. Wesley:" Well then I have to ask, why have you come here? If you feel the way you do, why have you come to talk to me here today?"

Rey squirmed a bit, as he obviously was not comfortable with the situation.

Rey:" I don't know."

He said, with a shrug.

Dr. Wesley:" I think you do."

He said, still in that annoyingly calm tone of voice.

Rey:" I don't give a damn what you think!"

He scoffed.

Dr. Wesley:" I understand. But if you want me to help you, which, I assume, is why you came here, you have to open up, you have to talk to me."

Rey squirmed a bit again, clearly he hated having to be in this situation.

Rey:" Fine! But you damn well better remember the doctor/patient confidentiality thing, cause if you don't..."

Dr. Wesley:" I promise you, Mr. Rosario, that everything we discuss here today, will never leave this office."

Rey:" It better not!"

Dr. Wesley:" You have my word on that."

Rey:" Good."

He said, as he squirmed once more.

Dr. Wesley:" So then, tell me why you are here."

Rey took a deep breath.

Rey:" I have been having...these...forget it!"

He said, as he quickly got to his feet. Dr. Wesley jumped to his feet as well.

Dr. Wesley:" The only way I can help you, is if you talk to me. I promise you, Mr. Rosario, you can trust me."

Rey gave the doctor an evil look.

Rey:" I don't trust you! I will NEVER trust people like you! The only reason I came here, is because I have nowhere else to turn."

Dr. Wesley:" And since you are here, and paying for the whole hour I might add, why not simply talk to me? If you truly have nowhere else to turn, as you say, then what do you have to lose?"

Rey:" I don't know..."

He said, as he lowered his head.

Dr. Wesley:" Then why don't we just sit down and talk about it? Okay? Just two people talking, maybe I can help you. But you have to talk to me."

Rey took another deep breath, before looking up at the doctor and, after a slight hesitation, he sat back down on the couch. Dr. Wesley then sat down again as well.

Dr. Wesley:" Okay, you have been having what?"

Rey:" Well....I don't know exactly what they are."

Dr. Wesley:" That is okay, just explain it as best you can."

Rey:" Well sometimes they are dreams...well, nightmares...but it doesn't only happen when I sleep, it happens when I'm awake as well."

Dr. Wesley:" What happens?"

Rey:" I don't know...I...see things, I guess."

Dr. Wesley:" What things?"

Rey:" People...places...but none of it makes any sense."

Dr. Wesley:" These people you mention, do you recognize them?"

Rey." No. As far as I know, I have never seen or met them, not in real life. But..."

Dr. Wesley:" But what?"

He asked, as he wrote something down in his notebook.

Rey:" Two people seem to be recurring almost every time it happens."

Dr. Wesley:" And who are these people?"

Rey:" Well there's an old man dressed a suit, and a woman..but there's something odd about her."

Dr. Wesley:" What do you mean?"

Rey:" I never actually seen her. I hear her voice but...I never see her."

Dr. Wesley:" And you do not recognize the voice? It does not seem familiar?"

Rey:" No."

He said, as he shook his head.

Dr. Wesley:" And the old man you mentioned, what does he do?"

Rey:" He talks to me...tells me things."

Dr. Wesley:" What does he say?"

Rey:" He talks to me as if I know him...like we were old friends or something. But I don't know him."

Dr. Wesley:" I see..."

He said, before pausing, as he made more notes in his book.

Dr. Wesley:" What else do you see in these nightmares? You mentioned that these two seems to be recurring, is there anything else that happens on a recurring basis?"

Rey:" Well..there is one thing."

He said, as he lowered his head again.

Dr. Wesley:" Can you tell me about it?"

Rey:" Well in these...nightmares...I see my wife and son dead. How they die varies, but they always end up dead."

Dr. Wesley:" Well it could be your subconscious fears of something happening to your family, that is expressing itself this way."

Rey:" Well the thing is...I don't have a family."

Dr. Wesley:" Oh...so these people you see, did you make them up?"

Rey:" Not exactly."

Dr. Wesley:" What do you mean?"

Rey:" In these...nightmares...the woman I'm married to, is a woman named Jade..my former girlfriend."

Dr. Wesley:" I see. Do you still love her?"

He asked, as Rey hesitated.

Dr. Wesley:" Mr. Rosario?"

Rey:" Yes...I still love her."

Dr. Wesley:" And the son?"

Rey:" Made up...we never had a kid."

Dr. Wesley:" Since you are not together anymore, but you still love her...did things end badly?"

Rey gave the doctor another evil look.

Dr. Wesley:" I am trying to help you Mr. Rosario, that is why I am asking."

Rey hesitated again.

Rey:" I guess you could say things ended badly, yes."

Dr. Wesley:" In these nightmares, what happens leading up to your family dying?"

Rey:" It varies...but I think..."

Dr. Wesley:" Yes?"

Rey:" I'm happy...we're happy...and then things go to hell."

Dr. Wesley:" I see. Well it is not unusual to dream about a better life, our dream life if you will, where everything is exactly as we want it to be. Maybe that is what you are doing."

Rey:" Then why do they have to die?"

Dr. Wesley:" Maybe you feel like this woman, this..Jade was it?"

Rey nodded.

Dr. Wesley:" Maybe her dying in your nightmares, is your feelings about her leaving you, that is coming to the surface, only in a more extreme way."

He said, as Rey silently considered his words.

Dr. Wesley:" You mentioned something about this not only happening when you sleep?"

Rey:" I get...blackouts I guess you could call them. Basically I pass out, and when I wake up again, I have these memories of things."

Dr. Wesley:" What things?"

Rey:" I see me...doing things...things that I have no clear recollection of ever doing."

Dr. Wesley:" What things?"

Rey:" I see me...hurting people...beating them, even killing them."

He said, as Doctor Wesley was clearly a little caught off guard by this.

Dr. Wesley:" That...must be difficult for you. Can I ask, do you remember when all of this started?"

Rey nodded his head.

Dr. Wesley:" Can you tell me about it?"
Rey:" A while ago...I woke up one morning, in a motel room...I had no memory of where I was, or how I got there. And I had no memory of what I had been doing that night."

Dr. Wesley:" Really?"

He said, sounding surprised.

Dr. Wesley:" What is the last thing you do remember?"

Rey sighed.

Rey:" Sitting in my apartment...there was a knock on the door and I went to open it...then everything after that is gone, the next thing I remember is waking up the next morning in the motel room."

Dr. Wesley:" And you remember nothing about that night?"

Rey:" Well...I have had...flashes...bits and pieces coming back to me, but I'm not even sure if they are actual memories, or just things I imagine."

He said, as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Dr. Wesley:" These bits and pieces, what can you tell me about them?"

Rey:" I tried backtracking my steps...the guy running the motel said I had checked in with a woman, but I was alone when I woke up. He pointed me in the direction of a club down the street from the motel...it seemed familiar to me, but I don't know why. I had a memory of being in the alley next to the club...but I wasn't sure if it was an actual memory, so I went there and..."

Dr. Wesley:" Yes?"

Rey:" Lets just say I found something that indicated that my memory was real, that I had been there that night."

Dr. Wesley:" What did you find?"

Rey:" It doesn't matter."

He said, not wanting to tell the doctor about his memory of beating a man half to death behind a dumpster.

Dr. Wesley:" And this has been going on since that night?"

Rey:" Yes."

He said, with a nod, as Dr. Wesley made some more notes in his book.

Dr. Wesley:" Well this is certainly...interesting."

He said, scratching his head.

Dr. Wesley:" What do you do for a living, Mr. Rosario?"

Rey:" I'm a wrestler."

Dr. Wesley:" Really? My son loves wrestling."

He said, with a smile.

Rey:" Why do you ask?"

Dr. Wesley:" Well I wanted to know, have you been under any additional stress in your life lately, work related maybe? Or in your personal life?"

Rey could not help but smile a little, additional stress? Talk about an understatement.

Rey:" I guess you could say that."

Dr. Wesley:" In what way? Work or personal?"

Rey:" Both."

Dr. Wesley:" Tell me about it."

Rey:" Well...I work for Sanctioned Violence Organization in Las Vegas. I'm trying to be the champion there, and I got people gunning for me left and right. And since I joined SVO, my life has changed completely...I lost everything, my home, all of my money, Jade...I lost everything, in my persuit to become SVO Champion."

Dr. Wesley:" Seriously?"

He asked, sounding surprised.

Rey:" Yeah."

Dr. Wesley:" Well if your entire life has been turned up side down, it could go a long way towards explaining these things you have been experiencing. It could simply be that so much has happened to you, in a short period of time, that you mind has not been able to deal with it."

Rey:" So...what? You're saying it's all in my head?"

Dr. Wesley:" It very well could be. These things you see, it could be an expression of all of the chaos and turmoil that is in your life right now."

Rey gave the doctor a mistrusting look.

Rey:" So how do I stop it? How do I stop these blackouts from happening?"

Dr. Wesley:" I am afraid it will take some time, we will have to work on getting you to accept certain things in your life and..."

Rey:" I don't have time. I'm fighting Grimfamos in a few days, I need it gone by then."

Dr. Wesley:" Grimfamos? Who is that?"

Rey:" Some bastard who thinks he's gonna take my title shot away from me."

Dr. Wesley:" I see...and this Grimfamos, how do you feel about him?"

Rey:" I hate him, why?"

He asked, angrily.

Dr. Wesley:" Why do you hate him?"

Rey:" Why? Because the bastard thinks he has the right to take the one thing that makes my life worth living! Because he thinks that his greed, his lust for the gold is more important than my life! And because Grimfamos is everything I hate! He thinks he is better than everyone else! He looks down on people like me, the outcasts and outsiders of the world, while he is rubbing elbows with the rich and famous."

Dr. Wesley makes a few more notes in his book.

Dr. Wesley:" Is that how you see yourself? As an outcast? An outsider?"

Rey:" It's what I AM! Not what I see myself as. Grimfamos stands for everything that I hate! He speaks of his life as if it's some kind paradise on earth, but he never sees the things I see. He never sees his beloved life by night, when people like me roam the streets, cast out and looked down upon by society. Hidden away because people don't want to deal with us. But they will gladly take from us, should we have something that they want...like getting a shot at the Championship."

Dr. Wesley:" You seem to have alot of resentment for this Grimfamos person, why do you think that is?"

Rey:" I just told you why!"

Dr. Wesley:" I know, but I think we may be on to something here."

Rey looked at Doctor Wesley, obviously confused.

Dr. Wesley:" Is it at all possible, that this resentment comes from jealousy? That maybe Grimfamos is living the life that you always wanted? You live your life in your dreams, before they become nightmares?"

Rey just stared at the doctor, the rage visibly building within him.

Rey:" I knew it...I should have seen this coming! You are one of them, so of course you are gonna try to turn me into one of you as well!"

Dr. Wesley:" One of us? What does that mean?"

Rey:" You know what? I knew coming here was a mistake! A waste of time! You don't know a damn thing! You just ask simple little questions, utter a little bullshit, and then happily take my money!"

He said, angrily, as he rose to his feet. He grabbed the notebook and ripped it out of Dr. Wesley's hands, before tearing out the first few pages, where Dr. Wesley had made his notes about Rey. Rey put the torn papers into his pocket and threw the notebook at Dr. Wesley, who tried to catch it, despite being caught off guard, but failed and it fell to the floor.

Rey:" I'm done here. And if I EVER hear anything about you talking to anybody about me, or about our little talk...I'll make sure you regret it."

Dr. Wesley just nodded his head, feeling that a confrontation might not be the best approach to the situation. Rey then stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him.

Another failed effort...another door closed, and still no answers. And he was running out of both options and time....
