Destiny had been quite the eventful night. He had won his match against Loki Synn and Vintor Otis. His mind was messed up enough as it was, and getting nailed right on his head by Synn probably would not do much to improve on that situation. But the night was not a complete waste however, infact, the night ended on a good note. His win had exactly the impact he had hoped on management, his mindgames had succeeded, and he was now inside management's head, something he would seek to capitalize on at Showdown where he faces Samuel Amos in a number one contender's match.

But the biggest thing to come out, and the worst part of the announcement for him, was the announcement of a special referee for the number one contender's match at Showdown, that special referee being current SVO World Champion Jay Wildman.

At Showdown, it would be Rey Rosario against Samuel Amos with Jay Wildman as the special referee, The plan was for the deck to be stacked against Samuel Amos, but instead, the deck would now be stacked against Rey Rosario since Wildman already knows he can beat Amos. And it would seem that all of his efforts, everything he had done to ensure he would get the SVO Title, had only served to diminish his chances of winning the only thing left in his life that mattered to him; The SVO Championship.

The scene opens up inside a small, dimly lit room. The setup of the room is quite similiar to that of an interrogation room, with a table set up in the middle of the room, with a chair on each side, and the rest of the room is just empty space. The bare walls of the room are in a bland gray color, the only window in the room is covered by blinds, and a single light bulb is hanging from the ceiling above the table. On one side of the table, dressed in black jeans, black boots and a black shirt, is Rey Rosario. On the other side of the table, with a cameraman behind him, is Simon Austin. And on the table between them, are several pieces of paper. The cameraman signals to Simon Austin that the camera is rolling, as Simon looks towards the camera.

Simon:" Folks hello and welcome to what should prove to be quite an interesting interview. I am sitting here with hopeful number one contender Rey Rosario who, after quite a bit of effort on our part, has agreed to do this interview. Now I should point out that the SVO Title contender has made several demands, so if any of you are wondering why the interview is being conducted here..."

He says, looking at the room that surrounds them.

Simon:" Well honestly I do not have an answer to that question, but that was one of the demands made by Rey Rosario."

Simon turns back towards Rey.

Simon:" Now Rey, first of all I want to thank you for agreeing to do this interview. We will be touching on quite a few topics here today, so if its okay with you, I would like to just jump right into it."

Rey, who seems a bit uncomfortable with the camera, just nods his head slightly.

Simon:" Well obviously the first thing on my mind, is why you have been so reluctant to do this interview? At first you flat out refused, but finally agreed to do it, on the condition that certain demands were met, one of which were the location of the interview, another being that I had to be the one conducting the interview. Could you perhaps shed some light on the situation?"

Rey:" Do you remember the first time you got your ass kicked?"

The out of the blue-ness seems to throw Simon a bit.

Simon:" Why do you ask?"

Rey:" It's a simple question Simon...Do you remember?"

Simon:" Well, yes...I suppose I do."

Rey smiles.

Rey:" Everybody does."

A moment of silence follows, as Simon is clearly a bit unsure if he should just ask the next question. Rey then breaks the silence as he continues his thought.

Rey:" You see, there are thousands of defining moments in your life, moments that shape you, change you...make you into the person you will eventually become. I think I was around ten, eleven years old maybe...I had been in a few fights before, enough to make me confident, but too few to know not to get overly confident. You see, the first time you get your ass kicked, and I mean truly get your ass kicked...you are faced with a choice. And that choice, will most likely follow you through the rest of your life. You really only have two options; run home, cry and spend the rest of your life avoiding confrontations, both psychical and verbal, allowing your fear of confrontation to change you, to suck every single shred of personality out of you, until you become a pathetic little people please, who never stands up for himself, who lets himself be ruled by popular opinion, and who lets others dictate who and what he is.

Or you can go the other way, you can get back to your feet, go home, train to become a better fighter, and then go back out there, seek out the son of a bitch who kicked your ass, and beat the crap out of him right then and there. Those are the choices, the only two choices, and if you think about it...with so many people on this planet, and with all of them going through that situation at one time or another...it is incredible to think that so many people, so many different personalities, and in the end it all comes down to one single choice of either/or..."

Simon:" I suppose, but I do not really think that answers my question."

He says, as diplomatic as possible.

Rey:" Choices, Simon...it's about choices. Life is nothing but one endless barrage of choices, we assume that there's a right choice and a wrong choice, but is there really? What if there's only wrong choices? What if there's only right choices? What if there's no choices at all?"

Simon:" I am still not sure I follow."

Rey:" Why are you here today Simon? Did you come here because you made the choice to do so? Did you, of your own free will, decide to come here? Or is it fate, or destiny, that has put you and me together in this room right now? Did we choose this? Or was this chosen for us?"

He asks, as Simon hesitates.

Rey:" What if...what if nothing we do matter? What if we don't have any choice, what if we are destined to do the things we do? And no matter how hard we fight it, we cannot change it."

A brief pause follows.

Rey:" Have you ever done something even though you knew, deep inside, that you shouldn't do it?"

Simon:" Well I--"

Rey:" I have..."

He says, cutting Simon off.

Rey:" People say it's weakness...you know it's wrong, but you are too weak to resist it. But what if it's not? What if the reason you can't resist it, is because you are not supposed to resist it? If that were the case, then you really couldn't be held responsible for anything you may have done, if you had no choice, if the choice was already made for you....you can't be held acountable...you SHOULDN'T be held accountable."

He says, almost sounding like he is trying to convince himself.

Simon:" What exactly are we talking about here?"

Another brief pause follows.

Rey:" It doesn't matter...you had questions?"

Simon, growing more confused by the second, decides to just move on to the next question.

Simon:" Well obviously one of the things I want to touch on, is the way some people say that you're obsessed with winning the SVO Championship."

Rey smiles.

Simon:" What is your reaction to that?"

Rey:" Do you really think I care what "the public" thinks of that? Or of me?"

Simon:" Well surely you can understand why some people might be upset by something like that?"

Rey:" I know how the world works. I know that, from the very moment you are born, the entire world is one big conspiracy, working to drain you from every single shred of personality, to take away every single independant thought, until you become just another mindless, robotic slave to the world. This world is designed for one kind of people, and one kind only...the kind who falls in line. The kind who happily bends over and takes it, the kind who are happy to let other people do their thinking for them. But as with everything else, there are failures in this conspiracy as well, and not everybody are successfully brainwashed...and those people become what is commonly known, as outcasts..or outsiders...the people who are different, and as such, are ridiculed and alienated because of it. The reason I'm going after the SVO Championship is because it's the only thing left for me. I was Las Vegas Champion, Tag Team Champion and International Champion so its logical that I want to take that extra step to further my career. But in doing so, all of the other mindless robots in this country, decided to stand up, point at me and yell obsessed! And why? Because that is what they have been programmed to do."

He says, slamming his fist onto the table.

Rey:" And Samuel Amos is a perfect example of this; For months now, he has been walking around SVO, proudly spewing his garbage about how infamous he is, how great he is, how wonderful he is. Samuel Amos is like the poster boy of what's wrong with the world! Someone who is completely ruled and controlled by popular opinion, who couldn't have an independant thought of his own, even if his life depended on it. That is Samuel Amos! If people want to call me obsessed, it doesn't bother me...because at the end of the day, I will be SVO Champion....but more importantly, I am free! I am a free living individual, who can and do think for myself, instead of letting myself be ruled and controlled by popular opinion."

He says, before leaning back in the chair.

Rey:" You know, I have a unique outlook on life, I see things in a different way than most people do, why? Because I have seen both the best and the worst sides of this world. For years, I saw nothing but the bright, shiny surface of life; The big houses, the fast cars, the beautiful women and the happy, perfect people... but for the past months, I have seen what lies beneath the surface. I have seen through the charade of perfectness, right into the seedy underbelly of life, to the truth of things. I have seen the rich and famous, dining on extravagant meals, their only concern in the world, being whether they would be able to cram down desert as well. And I have seen the lost, the hopeless, roaming the streets at three in the morning, no place to go, no place to stay, and with nobody who gives a damn whether they live to see another sunrise, or die from an overdose in some dark alley somewhere. I have seen kids, thirteen, fourteen years old, selling themselves on street corners, to sick, perverted freaks, just so they can scrape together enough money to survive another week, and again, with nobody giving a damn about them."

He scoffs.

Rey:" If it's the American way, to completely abandon these so called "casualties of society", that I see roaming the streets at night, if it's the American way to hate and ridicule anyone who's different...if it's the American way to not give a damn about the people that I see on the streets every single night, yet point the finger...if THAT is the American way, then I am indeed Un-American."

Simon does not even know where to begin, with everything Rey just said, so he instead decides to just move on to the next question.

Simon:" Samuel Amos--"

Rey:" And if THAT is the country that Samuel Amos speaks so highly about, if THAT is the country that he loves so dearly...then I shall take great pride in destroying him inside that ring. I know that the arena will be full of people who will be supporting him, and destroying Samuel Amos, taking him apart in front of all of those bastards, THAT will be justice! THAT will be right! And THAT will show everybody, that just because popular opinion is against you, it doesn't mean that you can't...can't..."

Rey squints his eyes, and then rubs his eyes with his hands, as he slowly sways from side to side in the chair, as he seems to have some problems with his balance.

Simon:" Are you okay?"

He asks, but Rey does not respond, nor does he even seem to hear Simon's question.

Simon:" Hey! Are you..."

Rey tries to stand up, but as he does, he loses his balance and falls over, hitting his head on the table before dropping to the floor. As Simon jumps up from his chair to check on Rey, the camera is suddenly, and abruptly, turned off, as everything goes dark...
