(OOC: Sorry I couldn't do any better. You deserve better howie. Also sorry this is so late.)

I almost couldn’t believe that I did it.

After being the first one out, I knew that my chances of actually winning the One Shot Battle Royal were slim to none. I remember walking down the aisle looking toward the ring promising myself that I was just going to last long enough to make sure Matt Anderson and the rest of the Company regretted ever crossing me. I remember being punished.. I remember the Rodriguez Brothers taking turns trying to drill me through the mat.. I remember watching them throw other people over the top rope but for some reason they must have felt like hurting me a bit more would be a better option.

I remember seeing Ryder, Cooper, hell.. I remember late in the game seeing Matt Anderson enter the ring with a steel folding chair.. That mother fucker. What exactly would Matt Anderson have done with a World Title shot, anyway? Anderson hit me with a steel chair because he set up his Company man to come out last.. And win the whole thing. I remember seeing Coop fall over the top rope and down to the floor. Blue bastard. Congratulations on being as big of a failure as you were before your company days. I remember it coming down to Ryder, Dean, and myself.. And I had already outlasted 27 other men.

I remember the fans being silent as I walked in.. booing me during the first three quarters of the match-up.. And cheering me at the end. I remember Ryder getting eliminated, and I remember a somewhat fresh Bobby Dean coming after me and feeling helplessly beaten as he countered nearly every move my last bit of energy could muster. I remember him grabbing me by the back of the head.. Running me towards the top rope.. And throwing me clear over the rope..

..for a moment.. time froze. I couldn’t see anything but the lights of the arena way up in the sky whirling by.. I lunged my hand up in the air.. And I actually felt the rope in the palm of my hand.

It was a last ditch effort. I grabbed the rope for everything that I could. I felt one foot brush against the floor.. And the second foot stop just mere centimeters before touching the floor. The force of my body nearly dislocated my shoulder. I remember the pain shooting up through my arm while I pulled myself back up to the apron.. And laying on the side of the ring..

I looked up at the lights again. Did I lose? To my left.. Bobby Dean is celebrating and the fans are going nuts. To my right.. I see SVO officials making gestures much like NFL refs signaling an incomplete pass. They had the best view of my feet, and they say the second foot didn’t touch. I looked back in Bobby’s direction and I remember seeing his hands raised in victory.. But I had just outlasted 28 other men.. I wondered what the hell should he have been proud of? He attacked me while I was vulnerable.. Threw me over the top rope.. Do you call that a victory? I didn’t care if he won or he didn’t.. I was going to spoil his little party.

Enraged, I slid under the bottom rope.. Stood up and ran towards him as fast as my legs would take me. Before he could even turn to see me coming.. I slammed my open palm into the back of his neck and ran him right towards the ropes.. Throwing him so hard and so fast that I could see his bleached blonde hair making a streak as he tumbled to the ground below. I fell onto the rope.. One arm over the top rope.. Barely having the energy it takes to stand.

Then I heard the bell ring. I heard “Your Betrayal” over the Loud Speakers. I heard the announcer declare me the winner of the One Shot Battle Royal.

That, I still, almost can’t believe.

One Shot Won.. now what?

To say that Amos sustained injury at the One Shot PPV would be an understatement.

What was once a mild concussion has been re-aggravated. What was once a headache is once again a full-blown mind-punishing migraine. He injured his shoulder grabbing the top rope, he injured his ribs and his back by taking so many chokeslams, power bombs, and other finishing maneuvers. Sam is beaten like a man who faced 29 other men, and although he emerged victorious it was not without a price.

Now that the adrenaline has worn off now long after the stare down with Wildman, Amos is finally feeling the effects of the match.

It’s a good thing that Destiny is in the beginning of February, Sam will need all the time he can to heal and recuperate. While Sam spend the entire One Shot ppv being beaten, Wildman got to sit in the back and watch. With this week’s opponent being none other than Company Member Howard Thompson, it seems as if Wildman will be doing some more watching as the Company tries to make Sam pay for doing exactly what he said he was going to do..

Carlie - “..I don‘t care what the trainers say.. You deserve a week off! ..just like that Grey Haired guy who has the world belt title.”

Sam - “World belt title?”

Carlie - Ugh.. You know what I mean!”

Sam - “Hehehe.. Oww..”

Its strange how you can forget how much laughing hurts when your ribs are bruised. You don’t forget to not walk on a sprained ankle. After feeling the pain shoot through his ribcage, he immediately placed his arms over his sides which caused Carlie to be alarmed. Still, through the pain you can clearly see in his face, Sam remained upbeat.. And why shouldn’t he be?

Sam was laying in his bed at his nearly permanent home in the Vegas hotel room with his back up against the headboard, and Carlie took what is becoming her familiar seat in the chair at bedside.

Carlie - “Sammy.. You really can‘t go through with this! Your headache is much worse and your just too beat up to wrestle another match so soon!”

Sam - “I know. But listen, I‘m the One Shot winner, okay?” He coughed and clutched his side once again. “I entered first and outlasted 29 other superstars. There‘s nothing I can‘t do.. There‘s no way I‘m going to let Anderson beat me!”

Carlie - “Is that what this is about? You‘re holding a grudge with this Anderson guy?”

Sam - “Yeah.”

Carlie - “Anderson is just going to continue to make your life hell. You said that he‘s the reason why you came out first.”

Sam thought about it for a moment. Thinking made his head feel worse.

Sam - “Yeah, I did. I know Anderson‘s game. Tilt everything in the favor of the company.. So they don‘t have to work as hard others to look so dominant. That‘s the reason why he‘s sending Howard Thompson after me this week.. He knows just as well as you and I both know how physically drained I am.”

Carlie - “Don‘t you think that wrestling this week will just play into Anderson‘s game?”

Sam - “No.”

Carlie couldn’t believe Sam’s answer.

Carlie - No? You‘re so hard-headed I swear!”

Sam - “Anderson obviously thinks that I‘m going to roll over and let Howard Thompson beat me. That‘s simply not the case.. Just like I didn‘t roll over just because he sent me out first in the Battle Royal. I simply don‘t lay down for anybody!”
