"Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 - 10:03pm - Goodfellas Casino Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada"

"Well, where are they?"

Matt 'Anarchy' Anderson spoke with quiet fury. Over the weeks and months, one of The Company's largest weapons in its war against the sVo had become more and more demanding and remained as unyielding as ever.

Sure Nightmare had proven effective, but Anderson knew if he could not be held in line he would be of little use in the long run. Early on he had been easy to pacify. With his brother, his heated rival as a key player on the side of the sVo it had been a simple task to keep the Nightmare onside. Now with Nightmare's function complete and Night out of the picture, Ryuu Miyamoto had become far more selfishly motivated than before... if that was possible.

"Still in the suite, sir," came the nervous reply from the dark-suited agent greeting him at the elevator bank.

Level 24 - the uppermost level of this wing of Goodfellas Casino Hotel and a level reserved for Company executive staff as well as Nightmare. In the case of the executives they had been relocated here for their protection - since Scotty Love's unfortunate ending no expense could be spared in protecting The Company's finest. In Nightmare's case, he had simply been brought here in order to be more easily monitored.

"What happened?" Anderson asked impatiently, already storming down the Company-agent lined corridor towards suite 2413.

"Agent Hopkins was the senior agent on call," the suit replied, quickly following his boss, "Nightmare demanded to see someone about his booking this week..."

Anderson stopped abruptly, snapping his head back to glare at the lowly agent who struggled not to crash into him.

"We informed him of his booking this week via email yesterday," Anderson stated, matter-of-factly.

"I know, sir. Mr. Miyamoto was quite insistent that he was entitled to be informed of his booking in-person from a senior representative..." the agent offered desperately, "Now he won't release Hopkins and he's demanding you, sir."

Anderson turned slowly back to the door to the suite now only mere feet from the two of them.

"We'll see about that - he's in no position to be demanding anything," Anderson snorted, quickly turning and moving to the door.

He knocked loudly drawing a flurry of sound from inside the room. Furniture flipping, loud, indistinguishable yells and finally a loud thump followed by a brief but eerie silence.

"Just a minute," the voice coming from the other side of the door broke the tension of the silence but at the same time was disturbingly pleasant, sending a chill down Anderson's spine.

The door finally opening, Anderson found himself face-to-face with the smiling, masked visage of Nightmare.

"Happy holidays!" Nightmare exclaimed cheerily, "Don't mind me, I was just tidying up the place a little. Got to keep things presentable in front of Company."

He threw his head back in hysterics at his own pun before stepping back and happily waving the sVo manager into the suite. Seeing little alternative, Anderson cautiously stepped through the door, nodding back towards the agents with an apprehensive look before reluctantly shutting the door behind him.

Once inside he looked around as best he could, his eyes taking valuable seconds to adjust to the darkness constantly inhabiting Nightmare's suite and even causing Anderson to remove his constantly present dark glasses. His vision finally adjusted he quickly spotted Hopkins laying unconscious on the floor - a former independent wrestling star turned Company agent, his normally light-blond hair looking very dark and slick, presumably blood-stained, the exact color lost with the lack of light.

"Like what I've done with the place?" Nightmare cooed, still pouring on the cheerful holidays host act on in bucket-loads.

Anderson turned to face his growing headache, his friendly venire finally worn thin.

"Okay, Ryuu, I'm here," he stated flatly, "You took down one of our agents... now what do you want?"

"Matt, I'm disappointed in you, where are your manners?" Nightmare shot back defensively, "I was going to offer you a drink and here you are, straight to business."

Anderson seemed unimpressed by Nightmare's act as his face remained stoic, motionless.

"I'm growing a little sick of always having to babysit you - we sent you your booking for the week via email like the entire rest of the roster. You are facing The Teacher and that is that," he responded, "I don't understand why you need me to take time out of my busy schedule to come up here and deliver this news in person..."

"Take time out of your busy schedule?" the masked man responded, outraged, "You have it wrong - firstly, you should consider it your privilege to bring me news of my next victim... but more importantly... why am I facing The Teacher again? It is pointless. Let's face it Anderson, you're struggling to find opposition to stand against me because no one can stand against me. You want The Company to dominate? Then give me some real opposition."

His voice turned to a growl as he moved closer to his employer, speaking directly into his ear.

"I told you last week I was through taking out the trash with no thanks and if you hadn't sent the boys down to the ring and Brooks hadn't decided to stick his pre-pubescent face in my business I would have had that match thrown out on my own and you know what I would have done then?" Nightmare seethed as he spoke, "I would have left - my dominance shown and The Teacher left standing to fight another day... against you."

"I know what you want but I told you my hands are tied," Anderson retorted, clearly frustrated.

"Then you'll never hear the end of this nonsense," both Anderson and Nightmare sneered as they turned to the owner of the new voice, Night and Nightmare's former trainer and Nightmare's current unwilling manager, Akira Kimura, the veteran wrestling trainer and former head of The Company's Japanese operations making his way slowly into the midst of the darkened room.

"I know this man better than anyone... at least I thought I did," the old man continued, "But the one thing that has always shone through is his lust for gold. Granted he used to seek titles in a more... dignified manner than crying, begging and abducting Company agents - still, he has always been obsessed."

"It's not happening, Ryuu, not now," Anderson said, clearly at a loss.

"What do you expect, Anderson?" Nightmare spat back, "You knew I was a mercenary when you brought me in, that's how you got me in the first place... you can't possibly expect for me to come out here every week and destroy enemy after enemy of The Company for nothing?"

"I wouldn't call the rather generous salary you are paid by The Company 'nothing'," Anderson snorted.

"A man of my talents would be a highly paid talent regardless of where I... for lack of a better term 'compete', although it's been pretty clear from my sVo career that there is no competition for me," Nightmare responded arrogantly leading to a glare and disappointed shake of the head from his former mentor.

"You and your brother certainly are polar opposites," Kimura said.

"Thank you, Master!" Ryuu exclaimed drawing a silent shudder from both he and Kimura at his use of the word 'Master', "Regardless, what I need now to keep me motivated is something much rarer to find and despite what you may say, something well within your jurisdiction to grant."

Anderson bit his tongue and tried to remain assertive and diplomatic as he replied, "Season's Beatings is locked in - I know you're not happy about it but try to focus on the task at hand. Finish The Teacher this week, take care of Brooks properly and then we can talk... there is always One Shot you could take."

"Are you kidding me?" Nightmare replied, clearly not happy at the suggestion, "You are honestly telling me that after all I have done for you - two World Champions defeated, target after target eliminated - you are honestly telling me that I need to win an open-invitational battle-royale to get a title shot? You're kidding me... right? Give me a fucking title shot at One Shot then - I don't give a shit!"

"Can't do that I'm afraid," Anderson said, "The winner of One Shot is officially granted the first shot at the sVo World Championship for 2011... it wouldn't be fair."

"You really are a fucking useless middle-management pawn, you know that, Anderson?" Nightmare's voice was close to a whisper, "If you possessed even half the sway around here that you claimed to hold then you could just give me what I want and be done with it... by ducking me week after week you're showing me and the morons of the sVo universe just what a worthless puppet you are."

Insulted and outraged, Anderson stood up to his full height, challenging Nightmare but quickly thinking otherwise - the masked man staring at him, unimpressed.

"Don't go making any moves that might be risky for your health, Matthew," Nightmare said icily, "Take your little buddy off the floor there and get someone up here to clean the mess off the floor, can't have these lovely carpets staining - but most importantly, get the fuck out of my sight you worthless piece-of-shit."

Glaring at his rebelling mercenary but sensing the clear malice in his voice, Anderson made a bee-line for the door, swiftly opening it and exiting, immediately finding himself face-to-face with five eager Company agents all obviously caught red-handed listening in at the door.

"Sir..." one of them started, only to be cut off by Anarchy.

"... don't get me started - go in there and get Hopkins out, he's in a heap on the floor - get him to hospital..." he said.

"Anything else, sir?" asked the nervous agent who greeted Anderson at the elevator bank.

"Just make sure no one bothers me for the next two-hours or so... I don't need this shit," he exclaimed impatiently, already half-way to the elevators.
