Green Meadows; Connecticut 9:48 AM

It had been some days since DJ had been heard from by SVO officials let alone seen on television. Since the match at Unsanctioned, DJ had pretty much dropped off the face of SVO though there are rumors as to why. Some ranged from lingering injuries over the past few weeks at the hands of Xtreme Fusion dating back as far as the last PPV to a mental break down which had caused him a brief relapse. Really its hard to say for sure without asking the straight up.

Unfortunately for everyone DJ would be doing no interviews for his return nor would he be seeing anyone in SVO until his dated appearance at the upcoming Showdown. He had no reason to and no desire to try and wing it. This was important because it marked his return to a title match even if it was in a match that he had no real interest in. Samuel Amos vs. DJ? For the Tap Out Title? Who cares about the Tap Out Title. It was a worthless title in DJ’s eyes, not one that he was overly interested in at least.

Perhaps down the line when he returned to finish Chris Wrestling off for his arrogance to turn on DJ at the last PPV he would care more. But he had already punished Chris Wrestling for that error in judgment and sent him upon his merry little way. Then there was Samuel Amos. He had been having a fun little time being the side tracked little nobody that he was trying to be a kid in a man’s game. So he was suddenly far less interesting to DJ. Far less interesting.

So the question still lingered where was DJ? What was he doing? Where had he been? Well those would be answered in the future for sure but for now DJ was hiding away in his Green Meadows home in Connecticut. It was a lot cleaner then it had been in the past. Perhaps DJ had personally cleaned it during his time off or perhaps a service had been called but whatever the reason a lot of the junk and filth had been cleared out of the way. Nothing new had been purchased though and so the same old, slightly stained furniture and fixtures still marked the house, relics of what had been previously a pleasant house a few years ago.

And seated on the couch staring at the T.V. with curly black hair slicked back and a growing beard etched on his face was DJ. He wore a white Hawaiian shirt with a pair of gray slacks and blue sandals, a bit of an odd thing to be wearing in the middle of winter in New England but being that he was not outside it made a little difference.

On Television was the recent showing of Showdown where several interesting events happened. One of which saw Samuel Amos score an upset victory over SVO World Champion Roscoe Shame.

DJ turned his head back toward the T.V. watching a little longer as he pondered further on the different solutions. He had been out of SVO long enough at this point that the attention to detail was limited and he had little to do with its goings ons. It had been good for him to a degree but bad at the same time. Good in that he had been able to heal from his injuries and make life a little easier on him. Bad in the sense that he had no real idea what was going on from the backstage perspective nor on the current situation with his chosen enemies.

Standing up slowly DJ cracked his back which popped like the sound of brittle bones being cracked in the jaws of some angry dog. DJ’s body had been severely beaten on over the years and there was no telling how much longer it would work for DJ but at the moment at least he managed to drag himself from point A to point B before getting the hell knocked out of him then doing it all over again. It was his lot in life as he had never been what one would call a winner. He just did what he did and sometimes it paid off. The Future of Wrestling would have him believe it was his good work that made it happen. Maybe that was true. Maybe.

And so his world had been shattered as he laid on the ground quivering like a small child who had just realized Santa Claus was not real. The Future of Wrestling had come back, stronger then ever, and forced his will upon DJ with a furious vengeance which proceeded his defeat by James Von Drake. Ever since The Future of Wrestling had more impact on DJ’s actions then any other element of his life, forming him to do things that he normally would not. Forcing him to take lives that he would never take. Forcing him to hurt people in ways he would never hurt people. It had gotten so bad that DJ was not even sure what The Future of Wrestling was up too as he was blacked out for long periods of time, something that had not really happened in the past.

The results of this were that DJ was unaware of Chris Wrestling’s interactions with him in the past. He was unaware of some of DJ’s more devious plots to get at DVD and he certainly was not made aware that he was responsible for killing, indirectly. But The Future of Wrestling was cruel and harsh and these were all a means to and end of turning DVD into the one thing that DJ knew he needed him to be. A Monster. A beast. A creature of unimaginable cruelty just like he was. But DJ could never figure out why The Future of Wrestling would want that, why The Future of Wrestling carried if other people were just like him.

Blinking rapidly as he regained his senses and awareness he turned his head away from where he was looking to spy the refrigerator which he moved too. His stomach told him that it was hungry and wanted some kind of meal prepared for it. It was almost as demanding as the Future of Wrestling, probably from similar years of neglect when DJ was homeless. He stepped over and opened the door to his cooler staring at the contents. Since being home he had actually found a reason to stock it with a few bare essentials though he mostly ordered out. Reaching in he grabbed some old Chinese Food, opening the carton as he stared at the Low Mien.

DJ had no idea how to use chop sticks and as a true blooded American mutt he was not about to waste his time learning the finer points of using two sticks to pick food up when a fork was both on hand and made more god damn sense.

Sticking the fork into the noodles in the carton he skipped toward his basement door where he peered down the old wooden steps toward the liar of The Future of Wrestling. Though the world above was where DJ was allowed to be reasonably dominant, down there The Future of Wrestling was in charge. It was where all the planning occurred and where he trained nightly. It was were all the sensitive information about some of the other wrestlers he had found was locked up in a safe as well as most of his funds. He paused there for a moment before turning around toward the living room. He was not quite ready to go down there yet. He would have to, naturally, as The Future of Wrestling demanded that some amount of training be done to ensure they had a good showing at the next show.

“Dear Samuel must have so much on his mind though. Tragically he is not going to be ready to stand up to men like myself. He just.. Well we don’t think he has it in him sadly. That would be fun.. A good mystery in life is always fun even if it is usually dear Samuel Amos who gets stuck with them. Oh well.. Some people have all the luck.. Or lack of luck in this case.. Eheheh..”

DJ slurped up a few noodles as he kept his eyes on the T.V. watching the press conference and then that the voting for the SVO Awards was open for votes. He choked for a moment when he saw he was on the list, literally hacking up some half chewed noodles as he fell down onto the couch.

“The devil they say that we are a Tag Team of the Year potential? That has to be a mistake.. We.. We are not! We’re not Tag Team of the Year material.. Clearly. Hmm. They must have us confused with someone else. No matter.. Chris Wrestling will probably vote for himself again… hehehehehhehe. “ he giggled like a school girl as he considered that to be a terribly witty statement that he had just made. Chances were good it was no such thing. But what are you going to do, correct a crazy person like DJ?

“Well we will just have to see what kind of championship material Mr. Amos is at Showdown.. Against DJ.. Hm. That should be interesting. Yes but we should do just fine I think.. Its only the Tap Out Title.. Soon we get Chris Wrestling and that should be a fight we are looking forward too. Yes indeed.. Once with certain joys that can be properly inflicted upon that Traitor.. But for now I suppose we can look forward to seeing Mr. Amos.. “

And with that DJ once again picked up the Chinese carton, gobbling it down. He knew in a few hours The Future of Wrestling would finally drive him down into the base, drive him down into that hole where The Future of Wrestling would get what he wanted. Time to train, time to prepare.. Time to punish DJ for whatever minor thing he had done recently. However the time off had been good for DJ, good indeed and as such his body was not in such a poor state as it commonly was. He had actually managed to heal, as stated earlier, which should help him in this Tap Out Championship match. Hopefully at least..

“Maybe I can tap out Samuel Amos in under a minute.. Imagine that..”
