![]() Things were looking up in the Von Drake household. It was like ever since JVD had joined up with the Company he could do no wrong. They might have described themselves as some kind of old knowing all seeing all powerful company, but their Midas effect had certainly rubbed off on James Von Drake. Grimnir and Zarathustra were the first two to fall to the new Las Vegas Champion, being dispatched with ease at Roll the Dice in a triple threat match for JVD to bring the title home to the Company. Next it was Raven to get the squash treatment in a one on one match for the LV title. If that wasn't enough, victory over Joseph Equinox made it a hat trick of wins in three weeks for the man known as future of the wrestling business. Joining up with the Company was proving to be a good business deal all around. The Company got a talent like JVD to be their franchise player, and JVD got win after win, and a few extra zeros on the end of his already expanding bank balance. However despite that picture of perfection, it was not all blue skies in the Von Drake universe. Nothing ever went completely smoothly, there was always the odd hiccup on the path to greatness. James Von Drake: "I can't believe that little red haired bitch!" JVD threw the nearest thing down onto the floor in a temper tantrum, which just happened to be a glass of refreshing Pepsi, the very company that sponsored the the current Las Vegas title holder. Lucy Von Drake: "Look calm down. I just got off of the phone with Anderson. We can get this whole thing sorted out no problem." But JVD was anything but calm. As he stared down at the broken glass that was now all around him, he could feel the rage building up inside him once again ready to explode. His wife Lucy shook her head softly. It was one of the few things that annoyed her about her husband, he had such a short temper with things that could be fixed so easily. James Von Drake: "That little bitch is going to ruin everything. Just wait until I see her, then I really will give her something to complain about." JVD was dressed as always in designer labels from head to toe, today he was sporting a nice baby blue Ralph Lauren polo and a pair of Prada jeans. Despite wearing almost $300 worth of clothes, JVD wasn't going anywhere special, this was the type of clothes he usually wore when walking around his living room fuming about a little bitch of a wrestling reporter. Opposite him trying to act the voice of reason was his gorgeous wife Lucy Von Drake. Diamonds sparkled from her ear lobes as her blonde hair fell down either side of her pretty face. She was possibly the only person in the world who wore more designer labels than JVD, she felt naked without at least $1,000 worth of clothes on. Lucy Von Drake: "Anderson is dealing with it right now. The only problem is that the press got a hold of it and it leaked to loads of wrestling news sites. Anderson says we just have to go through a little process to the sVo can save face." JVD shook his head in disgust. The whole problem had come about when last week he had accidentally opened a door into the face of the sVo interviewer Katie Smith, breaking her nose in the process. JVD had apologised as much as any one man could do, but for some reason she had it in her mind that he had done it on purpose, and had made a formal complaint to management. James Von Drake: "Fuck the internet news sites. The type of people that follow wrestling online are fucking idiots anyway! Can't Anderson just shut them down or something?" JVD was upset because a problem with Katie Smith getting in the way of all he was currently achieving was the last thing he needed. He had finally rediscovered his form, and was riding the Company wave all the way to the top of the sVo. No red haired bitch was going to get in the way of that. JVD stomped his foot in frustration again just thinking about it. Lucy Von Drake: "It can't be done. Anderson said to stop Katie Smith filing police charges he agreed to send you to see a shrink once a week to work out your violence towards women issues." JVD was ready to explode again as he stared down his wife. She was trying not to laugh, but then again it wasn't her that was getting sent to see a shrink once a week just so her boss could save face over a total misunderstanding. James Von Drake: "Are you kidding me? I haven't got time for this! I haven't got any violence towards women issues! She walked into the door for fucks sake!" Lucy simply shrugged her shoulders as if it was out of her hands. At the end of the day she could always take a trip down the designer shops whilst her husband was in seeing the shrink, there were several offices down that way. James Von Drake: "Right I know what will settle this. Get the cheque book out and get me Katie Smith's address." Lucy Von Drake: "I don't think buying her off is a good idea. It kind of makes you look guilty." James Von Drake: "She walked into the door! How many times do I have to say it! You were right there, you saw it as well! Besides I am not buying her off, I am just going to pay for her medical bills to show there are no hard feelings. Fuck it whilst I am there I will pay for a bit of plastic surgery so she can look even better than before! Anything to stop me having to waste my time once a week with some quack talking about my feelings!" Lucy shrugged her shoulders, as far as she was concerned Anderson was pretty adamant that it had to be done to show the press that the sVo wasn't going to tolerate that type of thing, even if it was an accident. The best thing she could do was change the subject now and then try and talk her husband around before it led to a full on confrontation with Anderson, and everything came tumbling down. Lucy Von Drake: "Anderson did give me some good news whilst I was speaking to him, he let me know who your match would be against next week..." JVD's attitude quickly shifted as he forgot all about the situation with Katie Smith and turned his mind back to the sVo. He hadn't been enjoying wrestling this much for a long long time, and any excuse to step back into the ring and rack up another victory was a welcome one. James Von Drake: "Well don't leave me hanging. Who is it this week?" JVD took a step forward towards his wife, carefully avoiding the glass on the floor. One of the maids could clean that up later. Lucy Von Drake: "Anderson said you are going one on one with Nicky Jam Rodriguez!" JVD stopped in his tracks for a few seconds as he thought about his opponent. He was a massive man mountain of a man. Literally one of the biggest men JVD had ever seen before in his life. Maybe people would be hesitant about stepping into the ring with such a man, but JVD couldn't help but crack a smile. James Von Drake: "Excellent." Lucy was quite taken aback by her husbands reaction. She was used to him immediately plotting about how to take down his next opponent. Reeling off their weak points or devising schemes to use against them. Never had he looked so pleased. Lucy Von Drake: "Really? Because Anderson even messaged me across a video of one of Nicky Jam's latest shoot interviews. You want to see it?" JVD shrugged his shoulders as if it wasn't important to him, before sitting down on the nearest sofa and relaxing out. Lucy Von Drake slowly sat down next to her husband, she looked worried by his reaction. He always took advantage to check into every little piece of his opponents life, digging out anything that could be used against them. Lucy Von Drake: "Why are you so happy about it? Nicky Jam is a big guy you know." JVD gently nodded his head, all the anger built up about Katie Smith pushed back into his subconscious for now. James Von Drake: "He might be big, but he is absolutely pathetic! He lost to Alex Brooks a few weeks ago for gods sake! Alex Brooks is a sixteen year old kid, how can Nicky Jam even show his face around here after a loss like that! You know me, normally I hate facing anyone bigger than me in the ring, but this is an exceptional circumstance. It is going to look awesome when I take down Nicky Jam Rodriguez in record timing. Hell I'm so confident I will even throw my Las Vegas Title belt on the line!" Lucy Von Drake: "Are you sure there is nothing wrong with you, I have never knowingly seen you defend a title when you didn't have to. You still been getting those headaches from last week." Lucy tries to put a hand on JVD's forehead to take his temperature, but JVD gently brushes it away. James Von Drake: "Lucy they can put anyone against me right now. Nicky Jam Rodriguez, Raven, Equinox, all the Rodriguez Brothers, hell put Roscoe Shame, Bobby Dean and Night in a three on one handicap match against me and I will still win it. Ever since I joined the Company I been blessed. I can't lose, its just an impossibility!" Lucy von Drake stares down at her husband as he happily stares across at the Las Vegas title belt which is sitting on a table on the other side of the ring. She had seen her husband in a lot of different moods, and he was usually very cock sure of himself at the best of times, but she had never even seen him like this. It was as if there was no doubt in his mind at all that he would be walking out as the winner of the match as long as he was still a member of the Company. Maybe Anderson's idea of sending him to a shrink was not such a bad idea after all... [Edit - Screwed up the image at the top] Edited by JVD, Nov 27 2010, 11:51 PM.
