The scene opens outisde the Goodfella's Casino, not long after Resurrection. We're shown the image of a man coming out of the building. It is quickly revealed to us that it is infact De Cajun Sensation Tobias Devereux. Tobias is dressed in some black jeans and a black sVo tee shirt. He's got his fedora cocked a little to the side and his trench thrown over his shoulder. Tobias seems to be limping a little after his match as he heads towards the main stretch of road infront of the Casino. Tobias starts trying to wave down a taxi. Suddenly infront of him pulls up a black van, within a second the van has pulled off and Tobias is gone. Time has passed by, I'm not sure how long though. Last thing I remember I was walking out of Resurrection. I had been in a war against Night. I had failed to capture the world championship though. That man had beaten me, his drive was just more than mine. I'm not sure what happened after that though. I was trying to wave down a cab only for this van to pull up. These guys in the back grabbed me, then everything went black. I felt them put the hood over my head, I couldn't see who they were, but I could hear them. They weren't speaking english that was for sure. Sounded more like Italian, great more problems from the Italians. Oh fuck, the bet, De Luca lost a lot of money on my match. I bet he sent these guys to come collect. Almost as if forseeing the future, Tobias is right. Light suddenly reappears for our Cajun friend as one of the men yank the sack off from over his head. The man punches Tobias hard from the right side. He rocks Tobias so hard that he's almost knocked out of the chair he's in. The only thing keeping him down would be the rope that's wrapped around his legs and the legs of the chair. His hands duct tapped together behind his back. Rope wrapped around his chest ties him to the back of the chair. In other words it dont look like Tobias is going anywhere they dont want him to go. The man pulls his hand back again and again connects with a massive punch to the jaw of Tobias Devereux. Tobias at this point tries to speak to the man only to realize that he's gagged with some sort of fabric shoved down his mouth and duct tape over his lips. Evidently he's not to be talking, but rather listening. The man with the boxer like punch steps back into the shadows. Tobias' eyes still haven't adjusted back to the light although it be dim everywhere but right around his chair. He is unable to make out what the man looked like, only that he must of been a large man given the size of his fist. Tobias does happen to notice that its almost pitch black everywhere but where he is. This leads him to believe that there must be a light swaying back and forth above his head. How cliche, but effective, he supposed. Another man comes from the shadows, this one Tobias squints and manages to make out. It's Giovanni De Luca, this couldn't be good. De Luca: Mr. Devereux, how good to see you again. My condolences on your lost this evening, I know you did all you could to win that championship for yourself. Not to mention alot of money for me. Unfortunately you have failed, and failure is not tolerated in my organization. I dont know if you thought my threats last time were empty or what Mr. Devereux, but now I must assure you they were not empty. Unfortunately for you, I doubt you can rectify this situation, but as a business man. De Luca at this time grabs Tobias by the collar and yanks him so that his head tilts up. De Luca: It would be unwise of me to kill you until you have at least attempted to make me my money. Your death is for certain weither it is today or tomorrow. My recieving the money, well that isn't as certain. Not to mention impossible, if you're dead. Now is your life worth two million dollars to me? Well quite frankly no, but torturing you for a few weeks, then killing you. Well that may actually make me feel better. Tony, do me a favor and show Mr. Devereux, some hospitality. At this time the larger man comes out of the shadows. Evidently this would be Tony, at least he didn't have one of those irony names like Tiny. The man was easily seven feet tall. He was about as wide as a mac truck, and his muscles looked the size of Tobias' head. To say that Tobias was worried, would be an understatement. Infact his asshole has puckered up to the point he could of picked up a termite off the wooden chair he was sitting on. Tony was dragging something behind him, Tobias didn't notice it at first, but he quickly did once Tony stopped walking and just smiled at him. It looked like a small generator of some sort. Tobias could hear it humming. Tony produced a set of what Tobias feared was jumper cables. Tony hooked the cables up to the generator's batter, and flipped a switch. With that the generator went form humming to rumbling. Black smoke puffed out of it. Tony took the other end of the jumper cables and stood infront of Tobias. He took his time and clanged the two metal pieces together causing sparks to fly. Tobias started fighting as hard as he could against his bonds, but it was no use. He was stuck, and it appeared he was also fucked. Tony grabbed Tobias and before he knew it had wrapped one of the cables ends around the finger of Tobias. It was fitted much like a pulse monitor in a hospital. Tobias was not lost on the irony of this but right now didn't seem like a good time to laugh. Tony took the other cable and opening the mouth slams it down around the finger of Tobias' other hand. With that Tobias is jumping and flailing around as the electric volts surge through his body. His teeth gritting tight against the fabric in his mouth. His eyes rolling back as his eye lids flutter as fast a hummingbirds wings. Tobias convulses so hard the chair he's in literally comes up off the ground and falls back hard. The fall causing the back of Tobias head to bash against the floor busting him open. It was over in seconds but it felt like hours as Tony cut the power. Tobias' body was in so much pain he felt as though he had been struck down by a semi. These guys wont playing, they are really going to kill him if he dont come up with their money and fast. Tony looks down at Tobias and just smiles before we see his large boot come up above Tobias' head. We watch as it's coming down... The next image we see is Tobias waking up in his apartment, his face badly bruised, his body still ticking from the surge of electricity. The back of his head was still bleeding into his pillow, but he was home none the less. Evidently after he was knocked unconcious they had untied him and brought him to his apartment, dumping his body. He wasn't sure if he could even move, his whole body was on fire. He managed to roll his neck enough to let him look to his side. There in his bedroom above his dresser written on the wall was simply a few numbers. A four and a ten seperated by a dash, like a date. Underneath the date was an eleven, Tobias took that to be the time in which he had to get De Luca his money. Tobias made a god awful groan as he tried to get up, but he managed. He slowly made his way to the edge of the bed and tried to stand. He was wobbly but he'd make it. Tobias looked at his clock on the wall and it read two in the afternoon. In the corner read the date, at the sight of it Tobias nearly fell out. It was already the tenth, they had literally given him only nine hours to come up with two million dollars. Time has passed, but finally we see Tobias walking out of his apartment. He looks like he's showered and cleaned up a little bit. He's dressed in black jeans, a black button down shirt. His hair is wet and he's not wearing his fedora. His trench is missing as well. He looks down at his watch to see it reading six in the evening. He's waited as long as he can. As he made his way down the sidewalk he recalled in his mind the activites of the last four hours. After he got out of his bed this afternoon, he took a shower, thinking of how to get the money. After the shower he went to his living room, he was startled to find a life size inflatable doll in his living room. It was hanging from his ceiling fan, swirling around with the blades. It was of a dark haired woman, on her chest was a note in large letters reading simply "Marie". That was all he could stand, he'd have to get the money. If not to save himself, then to at least save Marie. He knew he would be alright either way, he could always just run back to Louisianna and dissapear for a few years in the bayous. Marie on the other hand, well she was as good as dead if he didn't get the money. He had tried to call Paige, to see if he could get an advance of some sort. He hadn't heard of her missing until the third or fourth call, when he saw it on the news playing on the television in his living room. Tobias started calling all the gamblers he knew that owed him some money. He found a poker game he could get into that had a jack pot of a half a million, but that was the biggest stakes he could get into. Tobias even tried calling a couple of banks to see how many loans with different places he could get, even calling a couple of sharks, but alas he couldn't find anyone that would help him. Tobias finally gave up, he had gone to his room and started packing. This was it, he was going to tuck tail and run. Something he had never done, and never thought he would. It was at that time he thought of his current course of action. He got dressed and headed out the door and now he found himself standing infront of a large casino. Tobias walks inside, no fear upon his face. Everyone inside who works there looks a little surprised when they notice him. Each one of the security members start talking right away on their radios. Tobias walks straight up to the cash counter and slowly cracks his neck. Tobias: I needs to speak to de boss man, now. Tobias' voice let the woman behind the counter know right away that it wasn't a request. Two security guards come up on either side of Tobias and instruct him to follow. Tobias does as instructed until he gets lead to an office all the way in the back of the building. The door opens and Tobias walks in, as he does the door is closed by the security guards. Inside is a solid mahogany desk and a large black leather chair. The back of it is to the camera as Tobias walks towards the desk. There beside the desk is a lawyer looking fellow. He has a brief case in his hand and a small smile on his face There is a small wooden chair for Tobias to have a seat in infront of the desk. Tobias sits down and looks at the back of the chair. Tobias: I knows I'm de last persons yews eva thought yew sees here. I's be in a pickle, I's need money, lots of it. Bout two million to be exact, dis ammount is nottin to yews. But it's nuff to kills me for, and moe important kills ottas for. So I offers my services to yews. Till I pays my debt to yew, if'n yews help me. Some sort of motion must of been made behind the chair as the lawyer fellow pulls out a paper from his briefcase. The man quickly speaks. Lawyer: This simply states that you are now in debted to our establishment for the ammount of two million dollars. That to pay off this debt you will work for our establishment in whatever manner we deem fit until you have successfully completed your service here. Just sign here, here, here, and here. Tobias wastes no time as soon as the lawyer hands him the pen he goes to signing. Tobias: Dere, now wills yew get de fockers off me back nows? The chair spins around, as it does we can feel nothing but shock as in the chair sits a man in a very elaborate and expensive Italian made suit. He just smirks at Tobias. He speaks as we realize just who it is that Tobias has signed his services to. Voice: Welcome to CSJ enterprises. The man in the chair is none other than Christopher Saint James. Tobias can only sort of lower his eyes but shakes his head slowly. Tobias: Tanks, so what's my position here? CSJ: Well whatever I deem them to be, you've always been beneath me, now you really are beneath me. Which means you'll do what I say when I say it. Infact, go ahead, bark like a dog for my amusement. Tobias just looks at CSJ. CSJ: I haven't called your little loan shark buddy yet, so you might want to do it. Or else those people you mentioned might end up hurt. Wouldn't want blood on your little grubby cajun hands would you? Tobias looks like he could kill CSJ but does as instructed and barks with a deep and menacing bark. CSJ: Oh no no no, I want pomeranian, not doberman. Tobias just shakes his head and makes a yappy like noise. To which CSJ just chuckles. CSJ: This is going to be so much fun. First thing first though. CSJ motions towards the lawyer. CSJ: Call this fellow... Tobias: Dey Lookah. CSJ: De Luca, and get him off Tobias' back, will you? The lawyer just nods and leaves the room. CSJ: There, your problem is solved. Now lets discuss business shall we? CSJ leans in with an evil smirk as we fade to black. |
