Back in Town Showdown RP 2/2 As he held his two suitcases and rolled them out the Las Vegas airport door, Talon let out a sigh of relief as he saw the black limousine waiting for him, just like it always did. He was dressed casually in olive shorts and a brown polo shirt, sunglasses set over his nose to conceal his face. The driver hurriedly got out and opened the door for him. He was dressed in a penguin tuxedo, which he didn't have to wear but did because it amused his boss. “Long trip, sir?” he asked as Talon tossed his suitcases into the back of the limo. Talon flashed him a grin. “Oh, you know, the usual,” he said, “Why, do I look like hell?” “Erm, you do look a little worse for the wear today,” the driver said hesitantly, “I do trust that you've had a productive trip?” Talon grimaced and patted the driver on the back. “A little less than I'd hoped, Brent my man,” he said, “Hopefully that will be fixed by the end of the month.” He smiled again and slid into the limousine. Brent the driver sighed and rolled his eyes as he closed the door behind him. “Wrestling,” he said in his best hushed voice. “I heard that!” he heard Talon say from inside the vehicle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “What's the status on camera one?” he asked out loud as he looked at the blue flashing displays before him. He was in his office's computer room, a veritable Batcave of high definition televisions, DVD players of the highest quality, and computer hardware and software that would make Bill Gates wet his pants. Depending on what they were used for, ANYONE could wet their pants in this room. It was a cold, steel blue room, with all the machinery shining silver or jet black. Talon often commented that this, the T-Cave, was sleeker and more expensive than most jet liners, although he was never taken seriously. He was wearing the same outfit he had been wearing when he got off the plane, though he had opted to remove the sunglasses. Some things just weren't meant to be worn inside. Camera one blinked to life on the television directly in front of him. Chris Bond was tying his shoes for a date, presumably with Paige Johnson. “But I still don't understand why we can't sleep in the same bed!” he heard off-camera. Chris looked like he was about to panic as he shoved the camera away and bolted to the direction of the voice. Talon chuckled. Footage that would end up on the cutting room floor, for taste's sake, but he enjoyed the interaction between husband and mail-order wife nonetheless. “Alright... cameras two through ten are all busy on some stupid superhero film, so no point to look at those,” he muttered, scrolling through the database. “Let's check out camera... fourteen,” he declared, and immediately on the second screen on front of him was an image of Faith Winchester, talking to some girl friends at a restaurant. He clicked the walkie talkie next to him. “Brian my man,” he said into the device, “I see you got that crew on Ms. Winchester just like I asked.” “Well, you know, I like to do a good job,” the answer came back fuzzily. “Do you have experience stalking?” he asked as he eyed the screens, “Because this is really good quality camera angles here. I'm impressed.” “Um... my pizza's here,” Brian said, and he wasn't heard of again. Satisfied anyway, Talon leaned back in his plush leather chair and clicked to the sVo website, looking up and down one last time. His email blinked to life, and inside was a short survey of questions from Wyatt, presumably for his website. With an amused grin on his face, Talon clicked and filled out the survey. How does it feel to be back in the United States? Pretty good. The women here speak the language I'm used to, so there won't be any more unfortunate misunderstandings. You recently had your first chance at sVo gold. How do you plan to follow up? Win the gold? I don't know, that seems like a good plan to me. You are a part of roulette night this week. Who do you hope to face? Peter Gilmour, definitely. What are your long-term goals here in the sVo? Win the sVo World Championship and take over the company sounds like a good plan to me too. Sooner rather than later, of course. If you could pick any one person to fight against, who would it be? I already said Gilmour, I want to be taken to the xtreeeeeeeeeeme. * rolls eyes in the back of his head * Grinning and chuckling to himself, Talon clicked “Send on the email, sending it back to his website administrator in Toronto, before checking out some more of his cameras. “Since when did I get Cinemax?” he asked himself incredulously as he stumbled onto one of the many channels on his satellite provider. |
