She is sitting in the kitchen, with her back against the wall, and she is waiting for her boyfriend, Mike Manson to get back into the hotel room. They have a plane to catch in about two hours to head over into Toronto go to the sVo Pay-Per-View, Countdown to Violence. She isn't used to the camera, she is only known to the sVo by some people because the camera may have caught up with them at the Carrig funeral a few weeks back. She looks at it and keeps rubbing her hair, nervously. Thinking she has to entertain the sVo recording crew, she begins to speak... Nicole: “So, I was walking home from school one day, you know, just had History class. This was the second year in a row where my history teacher gave up teaching from the very beginning because he was retiring after the school year ended in June. Well, Mr. Jones was just sitting in front of class not doing anything and falling asleep. I hated it. I was so tired of all those little boys hitting on me, they have nothing to offer me.” Nicole: “Anyway, I asked him about civil disobedience during the civil rights era. He was always good to talk about that. I liked hearing those stories. So, he talked about it and most people didn't care, but it was better than that fat dork next to me thinking he had a chance to sleep with me.” Nicole: “Yeah... So, after that class, I left school. I was walking home and there was Mike walking out of one of the subway stations. There must have been a million people walking by but I looked at him. As he was walking by, he looked me in the eyes. He smiled and I smiled back. He kept walking though. I turned my head back to see if he was looking at me, and he was. He stopped, turned around and said Hi.” Nicole: “We started talking there, and he asked me if I was hungry. There was a pizzeria around the corner and I asked him if he wanted to go there. He said sure, even though he hadn't ate pizza in a while. Then, we sat down and he ordered a calzone. I still think he ordered it because he knew it would take about 15 minutes to make and that would give him more time to talk to me.” At that very moment, the door opens. Mike Manson walks into the room still wearing his jeans and three-quarter sleeved shirt that he was wearing from when he went canoing earlier in the day. He looks at the camcorder, the man holding it, and the guy operating the boom microphone. His left eye closes and his right eyebrow is raised as he looks at Nicole. He throws a small duffle bag over onto a couch in the hotel room, which is where the rest of their luggage is sitting. Manson takes two steps closer to the camera, and double checking if it is recording or not. “Why are you talking to them,” Manson asks Nicole, his self-proclaimed girlfriend. Nicole: “I was just telling them how we met.” Manson: “Why... Why would anyone, besides your friends or bored people eating dinner with us, want to hear that story? Do you know who these people are? They are part of a wrestling company, sweetheart. They should want to hear about the title match, or expect to hear me exchange barbs and ribbings with the people in the match with me... They don't want to hear about me... No one wants to even know you exist. They just want me to go out there and wrestle... then I can come back to my life off camera... a peaceful life which is off camera.” Nicole: “MIKE! Why are you being an asshole!?” Mike Manson: “Do you want to watch Desperate Housewives and hear Joe Buck talk about how the Chicago Cubs swept the White Sox last week, but now the Sox are winning 2-0 in this series against the Cubbies? NO! You want to hear about the desperate housewives' stupid ass lives and how they go around sleeping with little kids and Tony Parker.” Nicole: “MIKE!” Mike Manson: “Maybe if we were the sVo version of the Newlywed game then it would be right to talk about us... other wise, it is irrelevant and really doesn't have a place on camera. You aren't a personality in the fed. You don't get paid by them.” Nicole: “Newlywed game? Are we getting married?” Mike Manson: “No! We aren't fuckin' getting married. I have things on my mind and when I decide to get married I will have a clear mind and know it is the right thing. Right now, I don't think it is right to marry someone.. anyone... in my current state.” Nicole: “Are you saying...” He looks over towards the camera crew. Mike Manson: “I'm sorry guys, I'm sorry that you wasted footage on this. It is ridiciolous. I wish I had something to say about those other 9 guys in the ring with me, but right now, I need to shower and catch a flight.... and I don't really feel comfortable with people recording me shower again.” Nicole: “Again?!?!” Mike Manson: “Sorry, guys. Sorry she wasted your time with something that has nothing to do with wrestling.” With that being said, Manson opens up a drawer in the hotel room and grabs a pair of his boxer-briefs. He then walks into the bathroom and slowly closes the bathroom door, which you might have expected him to slam. Nicole is standing and looks confused. As Mike Manson is heard starting to whistle as the shower water is turned on, Nicole whispers to the television crew if they would like to hear the rest of the story of how they met and began dating. The camera is quickly turned off. |
