Hooligan crawled out of bed finally the afternoon after the last showdown. It was nothing more than an interesting night as the match ended a bit early when Freedom Fighter and Rodimus got caught off guard in a victory celebration. It was nothing more than a fluke finish. Nobody was there to make the save and the count went through. But what happened had happened and it was time to push things forward.

Hooligan pulled on a pair of pants and a white t-shirt and made his way to the closet. Reaching in he thumbed through a number of Heroes of Violence t-shirts. Some not even released out on the store shelves. Eventually he pulled out a red jersey. It turned out to be a Red Wings jersey with McCarty’s name on the back and the number 25. He had the jersey ever since the last time they won the Stanley Cup a several years ago.

He then made his way to the dresser and began to stuff his pocket with his keys, change, wallet, and other things. He then went over to the door and pulled his leather Red Wings jacket off the hook and tossed it on. He finally made his way back to the dresser and grabbed a white envelope that was sitting there for a few weeks and stuffed it in his inside pocket.

He then hit the personal bathroom off his room and combed his hair and greased it back to show off the red and black streaks. Staring in the mirror, he began to wonder, should the mask be retired? Or should the mask continue its legacy? He shrugged the idea off for another moment and made his way downstairs where he found Brock doing some weight training, while Rodimus and Freedom Fighter were sparring in the ring. Laney stood behind Brock spotting him on the bench.

Hooligan took in the view in silence for a moment and then let out a whistle. Rodimus and Freedom Fighter quit their fighting and Brock put his weights up on the bar. Even Cara peeked her head out of the office to see what was up.

“Hey guys, you know what tonight is right?”

Brock knowing him best and noticing what he’s wearing decided to take a stab at it, “Is today the anniversary of you causing trouble at the arena?”

Hooligan snapped him a look, “No, not that. Tonight is game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. The Red Wings are one game from winning the cup. Tonight just might be the night they win it.” Hooligan was now grinning with excitement.

Freedom Fighter then replied, “Sweet, about time we get a big event to watch on the big screen here. It’s just been dying for a huge sporting event party.”

Hooligan began to grin, “Well, if that’s where you want to watch it…but I was thinking of taking the Heroes of Violence gang out to the game in my private box I got out there. I can take about 8 people in it if I wanted to.”

Rodimus began to become outraged, “Wait, so in other words we’re being left behind to watch the game here while you guys get to see it all live? I’m sorry man, but that’s bogus, I thought you were a better guy than that. Come on, we were friends for several…”

Before Rodimus could finish, Hooligan cut him off, “Whoa, dude, no reason to get bent out of shape here.” He then turned to Brock, “Hey Brock, you did tell them the news right?”

Brock shrugged, “Sorry man, I was waiting for the right time to break it to them.”

Hooligan then turned back to Rodimus and Freedom Fighter who were not lost in what they were talking about and began to grin, “Well guys, let me be the first to welcome you two to the Heroes of Violence.”

Rodimus and Freedom Fighter turned to each other and gave each other a high five. YEAH!

”You guys are all invited to come along, and Brock, feel free to tell Mdubb to come along. So if you’re coming, get ready, I want to go early and see the team before the game. And yes, I will see if I can let you guys see them too…”

Everyone then quit what they were doing and went off to do a few last minute things before they left, but before they cleared out of view, Hooligan shouted out on last thing, “One rule though, you have to wear a Red Wings jersey in order to go.”

Freedom Fighter froze in his track and turned around, “Wait, what if we don’t have a jersey…”

“Then we’ll be taking a detour on the way there then. But seriously, how do you live in Michigan, let alone southern Michigan and not own a single Red Wings jersey?”

Freedom Fighter shrugged, “Just never really needed one.”

Hooligan turned around and simply forgot that he said that. You can’t live in Michigan and not be even a slight fan of the Red Wings. It’s like not having a favorite between University of Michigan and Michigan State. When those two colleges play football, every family falls victim to the paranormal effect of a family feud call the great divide.

The rest of the afternoon was spent getting across Detroit in Hooligan’s Hummer. The first stop was the Hockeytown Café where Rodimus and Hooligan first met. Inside they had a memorabilia shop on the side. They had everything from jerseys, to pucks, to photos, and more. Anyone who didn’t own a jersey in the group had then just got their first set of jerseys, and a set being one home jersey and one away jersey. A real fan has one for both locations and wears them accordingly.

Finally they made it to the Arena where they first got settled into the private box. Hooligan then led anyone that wanted to come with him off to the locker rooms.

In the locker room, all the guys were getting psyched up for the game when they got a huge surprise of all of Heroes of Violence including it’s newest members walking in on them.

All the players got up to welcome them all to the game. Finally, Hooligan spoke up out to every one of the players, “I don’t want to have to come down here for an intermission, which I more than likely won’t have to. I’m proud to stand here with a team of top professionals. You’ve fought your way to the top, and now your journey soon comes to an end. You have three games won, and your one game from the Stanley Cup. But now is not the time not to get cocky. It’s not over until that buzzer sounds at the end of the third period or someone scores in the overtime. So I wish to say, fight hard, don’t let up, and don’t give them a chance.”

Hooligan then went silent, “Brock, what is your profession?”

Brock wasn’t sure what he was getting at, but decided to go along with it anyway. “I’m a wreslter”

Hooligan then turned to Ken Kal, who was attempting to do some player interviews for his radio show, “And Ken Kal, what is your profession?”

Ken Kal replied, “I’m a radio announcer.”

Hooligan then turned his attention back to the Red Wing, “Your not radio announcers, your not wrestlers, there is a reason why you stand here now today. Red Wings…What is your profession!”

All of the Red Wings players then replied back with a triple Spartan war cry like a parody of the movie 300 and raising their hockey sticks in the air as if they were Spartan spears.

After a little while of mingling for a bit, they were then asked to leave to allow them to get ready for the game. They made their way back to the box where a private mini buffet was being served. They literally did not have to leave the box for anything at all. They had food, pop, and even alcohol.

Finally, the rest of the night was spent watching the game and having a good time. It was a great way to help the other guys get their mind off wrestling for once. Everything was fine except for the end of the first period when Hooligan had to disappear to have a word with the game. He had gone on his own, and then suddenly, interviewers were asking the Red Wings coach what he had said to get the guys to turn things around. What they didn’t know was that Hooligan showed up for a private inspirational speech. Sadly, no camera was able to follow him to catch how it went.

The Red Wings finally caught up and nearly won it 3 to 2 when suddenly the Penguins tied the game out of nowhere. It was then finally dragged on into triple overtime at 3 to 3, causing the game to last late into the night. Players were all beginning to be fatigued; others were getting some serious injuries and even had some bloodshed. Finally, it had come to an end when one of the Penguins just barely got one past Chris Osgood.

Much like Hooligan’s match a few weeks ago, this game had put such a beating on everyone on the ice, and finally someone just simply had to come out on top. In the end, the whole entertainment values of both the game and the match were so great that it had to be simply an honor just to have been part of it all.

Just as everyone was about to leave the box, Henrik Zetterberg came into Hooligan’s private box. You could tell he was worn out, much like a fighter after a good fight in the ring. “Hey Hooligan, you enjoy the game?”

Hooligan turned in surprise, “Hey, Zetterberg, nice game out there. You guys really put up one hell of a fight.”

“Yeah, it was great. But hey, I wanted to wish you good luck next week on your next match. Brock told me earlier in the locker room that you were matched up with Travis Williams. Do me a favor, kick his ass for us, and we’ll take that Stanley Cup for you and the rest of the fans.”

Hooligan smiled and gave the guy handshake, “I’ll definitely give him the fight of his life. He’ll be struggling harder than you guys did to try and fight them off tonight. Anyway, not sure about the rest of the guys, but I’m flying out to see the game on Wednesday. You win that one, and I’ll dedicate my victory over Travis Williams to the Red Wings. In the mean time, I have to take the next couple days and do some training.”
