ooc- note that this isnt conversation dialog so it looks really short, fuck you guys haha

The main event for this weeks edition of Sunday Night Showdown has been announced as simply "to be announced". What does this mean for the sVo? Hints have been dropped that an sVo title WILL be on the line this week, but several highly ranked stars are left unbooked. With all of the other current title holders booked, Alex Ross is left to defend his belt. Who will this "mystery opponent" be, and can they take away Alex's undefended title in his current slump?

We open up to an already set up wrestling ring in Las Vegas's Goodfella's Casino. The arena is totally empty, aside from a few crew workers setting up stage equipment by the entranceway, and Alex Ross, standing in the middle of the ring. He can be seen sporting his new t-shirt once again, which is simply a black shirt with white text on the chest. It reads "10/10". He sort of paces back and forth, scratching his head.

Ross: You know, this whole main event thing has really got me thinking here. I mean, what if I'm building this up to something it really isn't? What if there is some sort of twist that leaves me without anything to do this Sunday? I could be totally unbooked, I could be working myself up for nothing. Heh, this is exactly what they are trying to do to me. They find a guy with self-confidence, a free-thinker, and they want to get inside my head now. They don't want me to feel like I have too much control over where my career goes from here. That might work with the rest of them. They fed Psyko Stevo to me, very well knowing that I'd take the title from him, just to put him down from his streak. They've thrown Hostility at us, hoping that maybe we would get a sense of pride for our company, feel like we belong to the sVo, we belong to them. Now they want to break me down, make me fear the possibilities of what could lie before me on Sunday night.

I'm always a step ahead them, though. My buddy Tom and I, this is the stuff we look for. We look for corruption, we look for our enemies in these big businesses. I'm not a puppet. You don't manipulate the manipulative. Now, we can work together here, or I don't know how well we're going to coincide, really. Moretti or whoever is in charge of all of this, they're going to realize that whoever my opponent is on Sunday, which I am sure I'm defending my title, that I will come out on top. I will not only do that, but I will do it in a spectacular, unbelievable way. Jaws will drop. This match, it's going to be huge. Why? Because I've already said, I won't have it any other way. If they want this to really happen, whatever they have up their sleeves, they are going to do it MY WAY. I'm the number one International superstar in the sVo and I wouldn't be afraid to say that I could be ranked very high in the WORLD outside of sVo.

Alex Ross is not a small wrestler. I am the perfect ten. I am one-hundred percent pure talent, a showman, an athlete. My competitor, they are irrelevant. Be it Psyko Stevo, I beat him once, I'll beat him again. Be it Johnny All-star, yeah, we're friends, but that won't stop me from defending my title. Cody Williams? The guy earned a shot, but that mean very little in the grand scheme of things. A shot at the title, it can go two ways, we all know that... And his odds of coming out on top over me, the champion? Let's say just less than half, just for situational purposes. I have some hometown advantage here, afterall. Now you have to take into consideration his preparation for this match. No one knows who's going to be in this thing, he could be hanging out in a pub in bumfucknowhere right now, completely careless. Is he prepared for what I have to offer? Is he ready to take a title from the sVo's best competitor? His odds become lesser than before through a surprise match.

My good friends, the World Champion Mike Polowy and Johnny All-star, they've got my back in all of this. See, with this whole anonymous match coming up, I've really got to be careful, so we've all arranged that I be accompanied at all times by my new friend Gary. Now Gary, you sVo folks are going to be seeing a lot of him pretty soon. Gary is my new personal bodyguard. Oh, I hear rumors of big things happening this week, and I just can't take the risk of interference by some angry young man trying to make a statement in my title match. This title is far too precious to me for that. I know how it works, I've been in that position. Hell, I made myself known at the very start in the 8 man tag team match at my debut Showdown. Listen guys, it's great that you want to be a star, but please, save it for another match. Gary will see that you do not make it anywhere near the ringside, me, or both, depending on what they decide to announce in coming days. I guess you can never be too safe, right? And this title, I'm willing to go far lengths to ensure it's security around my waist.

Alex Ross circles the ring, just looking around the empty arena. A crew member approaches the ring and tells Alex something along the lines of "We need you out of the ring right now." Alex initially reacts negatively, but silently and cooperatively stands down from an irrelevant conflict. He slides out under the ropes and makes his way up the ramp as we fade to nothing.
