Even in identical situations, Joseph Peyton never reacts the same. He’s been at the bottom before but let’s not forget how he rose up. His mistakes have been turned into experience, Joseph is at his Los Angeles, California Presidential Suite enjoying a conversation with the cameramen as the red light flickers, he begins…

Joseph Peyton:This has been anything but a memorable beginning of the year, but wait… it’s only February. The many people who had placed resolutions have probably already broken them and mine? Broken, after the first match of the year. Yet, here I stand still in fortunate circumstances with a place here in sVo. Sure, not a place worthy of gold nor silver nor even recognition because I have fell down that ladder of glory. One of the first ones on it, so high up with only the ass of Mike Polowy in my way but then…

Joseph shakes his head.

Joseph Peyton: I fell...

Joseph Peyton: I did not fall one step from that ladder but instead went back to where I began. The very bottom, with the likes of the many new faces shining this federation up. I was the main event and now I’m lucky to have some footage time, not many have had to experience this pain, but whose to blame?

Joseph stumbles on the finishing of his sentence.

Joseph Peyton: I am…

Joseph Peyton: I always came back, week after week, with the same promises that re elected President Bush, and you know what? I failed. Story of my life, if you ask my father.

Joseph gets off the chair and walks towards his balcony, the sun is shining and the homeless are dying. Los Angeles never does change and when they attempt to change it, the true locals know it’s only for hope. The same hope every wrestler that steps foot into that Goodfellas Ring has.

Joseph Peyton: Too young to be a has been and too lost in the roster to be remembered. That is what brought me back. I didn’t succeed and so I did run away from the problem but than it began to eat at my soul. I couldn’t sleep, nightmares of my father or rather past times filled with discordant abuse. But, why complain? That strict son of a bitch raised me as if I was immortal and yet it’s those experiences of tears and pain that I swore I would get vengeance for. That pain is what made me who I am today and whom Stampede Kid will be introduced to on his road to a beginning.

Joseph reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Marlboro light, he lights it up. His body quickly changes from its typical stiff matter and seems more relaxed.

Joseph Peyton: It’s kind of hard, you know? Relaxing like this. It only takes one lost for the world to soon realize that they can attempt to walk all over you. I have to hold my ground, stay on alert and always stick to my priorities.

Joseph flicks his ash and smiles

Joseph Peyton: You know, it’s funny to me. If you would have asked me a few months ago, “You check out that new guy?” I would have probably slapped you in the face. Cocky, confidant, and it was working. Now, look at me. I can’t stop talking about the past, just like a god damn homeless person down the street, reliving the past. I’m changing that though, this will be my month and wrestling Stampede Kid will be a perfect preview of what is to come.

A cars honking interrupts Joseph’s speech

Joseph Peyton: Ah, the 101 Freeway, loud, a busy freeway that holds a few hundred thousand drivers a day. Built for the leisure of many lives and in return it destroys so many. I enjoy it though, early in the morning I just wake up and look at all the cars, never ending. The white lights on one side and the red in the other, almost a replica of our own bodies. But, you know what fascinates me most? The lives, all those people going through their typical days and yet you can’t help but wonder, how do I get ahead of them? How can I achieve the most in life that El Beaner in the right has or that black man with his ‘car’. It’s a world of wonder that you make what you want from. The most important lesson I learned in life. So, now I presume you want my comments of my opponent? Fine.

Joseph clearlys his voice

Joseph Peyton: Stampede Kid, such a striking name isn’t it? Reading your biography it seems you got your big break from what? Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede? That’s good, though. You have been the champion in all three federations you’ve been in? That’s great. You have a shot against me? That’s bullshit.

Joseph Peyton: Do you see the heart, Stampede Kid? Do you see and hear the words I deliver? Your new, you have a lot to prove but I’m warning you… Don’t get your thoughts all in a bunch, Kid. I plan on changing your name after this match, Stampede Blue. It does fit quite well, doesn’t it? And it sure would be a great pleasure to destroy your look a like face of mine. Goddamn, it’s scary. The same face structure and body but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Your parents seemed to have lost a chromosome during their stampede and that’s the fortunate difference in our looks. Come Showdown, many changes will emerge and I'm sorry you had to be the example.
