Psyko Stevo
The Best Around
[ * * * * * * ]
Psyko Stevo's eventual impact on Showdown last Sunday night was not for the faint of heart. There's no other way to describe it.

It started out lighthearted enough, the Psyko One gave an impromptu "pep talk" to his protegee, everyones favorite white boy, Howie Banks. The talk worked, Howie Banks went on to secure his first taste of sVo gold in the form of the Hardcore championship.

From there, it progressed into more violent depths though... Stevo openly challenged the Hostility World Champion, Christian Vendetta. Take that back, he didn't just challenge Vendetta, he threatened him.

Then came the first of a double main event set of matches. "The Ironman" Psyko Stevo took on "The Juggernaught" Brock Alyas. Alyas was making his debut and was hand picked by Jimmy Moretti as an enforcer. Stevo knew that he would be in for a fight, but not even he could have expected what would unfurl in front of a nearly sold out house. Alyas manhandled Stevo, and even after using all his expertise and in ring experience to his advantage and connecting with the Psyklone, Brock Alyas still found a way to kick out.

Many fans reacted with shock when it was Psyko Stevo himself who went for a veteran low blow on Alyas, but as everyone knows, Stevo doesn't care about the fans, he only cares about his fans.

*As the cameras come into focus we see a limo pulling up to the estate of the Psyko One, the sVo's undefeated International Champion, Psyko Stevo. The limo comes to a stop and the front door immediately flys open, out walking a chaffeur. The chaffeur opens the back door and we see Chazz McPhearson exit. McPhearson has a grimace on his face as he looks back into the limo and extends his hand. Shortly after, we see the International champion himself, Psyko Stevo grab onto McPhearson's hand and slowly stagger out of the limo. Stevo has a wince of pain on his face as he makes it to his feet and leans into McPhearsons shoulder for support.*

Chazz: Wow, that Brock Alyas really did a number on you... how did you ever win that match?

*Stevo starts to cough and each time he does he grimaces in pain as he clutches onto his ribs. Finally he finishes coughing and looks up at McPhearson.*

Stevo: Brock Alyas didn't do this to me... I did this to myself.

Chazz: What do you mean?

Stevo: They don't call it the Psykotic Senton for nothing... takes just as much, if not more, out of you then it does to your opponent.

*Stevo coughs once again, but this time there is a faint smile after he is done. Suddenly the doors to the mansion fly open and out runs Psyko Stevo's adopted son, Jamal. Jamal rushes up to his father to give him a hug, and Stevo once again winces in pain.*

Jamal: Hey dad!

Stevo: Hi Jamal... ugh...

*Jamal releases the hug and looks at his father with suprise.*

Jamal: What's wrong?

*Stevo once again coughs, clutching his ribs as he looks down at his son.*

Stevo: It's nothing... just a tough day at the office, that's all.

Jamal: Did you win?

*Stevo looks at Jamal with confusion, but hen McPhearson chimes in.*

Chazz: Jeeves wouldn't let Jamal watch the match...

Stevo: Oh that's right... well yes Jamal, I did win.

*Jamal starts to jump up and down and smiles, this brings a smile to the face of the Psyko One. Stevo then looks over where we see Chazz McPhearson talking to an unidentified man.*

Stevo: Chazz?

*McPhearson nods his head to the man and then walks back over to Stevo.*

Chazz: Hey Stevo, this is Bill Johnson, he's a freelance writer for Wrestling Monthly and wants to ask you some questions.

*Stevo looks at the reporter and shrugs his shoulders.*

Stevo: Sorry Bill... I'm really not in the mood right now.

Bill Johnson: Come on, could you at least tell us why you resorted to cheating to defeat Brock Alyas last week on Showdown?

*Jamal looks at his father with a very suprised look and Stevo rolls his eyes at the reporter.*

Jamal: You cheated to win?

*Stevo looks down at his son and shrugs his shoulders.*

Stevo: I didn't cheat to win the match, and how dare you come onto my property unannounced and try to rile my son up with your lies!

Bill Johnson: Last time I checked, you used the Widowmaker, which is an illegal move. Then you performed a blatant low blow which was the only reason you even won the match.

Stevo: Listen here Johnson... Psyko Stevo is NOT a cheater. The Widowmaker has been in my arsenal for almost a decade now and I've never been accused of cheating when I've used it before. I always break the hold before the five count, so therefore, it's in the rules. About the low blow, it was inadvertant... I was trying to throw my shoulder into Alyas' stomach and with the level of pain my back was it, my body couldn't exactly get high enough to hit the stomach, so it ended up a little low.

Bill Johnson: So you're saying it was an accident?

Stevo: Of course it was. Psyko Stevo is not a cheater.

Bill Johnson: Not a cheater? Why did you interfear in a Hostility match involving Julian Fiasco and Christian Vendetta at South of Heaven, then?

*Stevo once again whinces in pain, but motions for Bill to walk with him.*

Stevo: Look, if we're gonna do an interview, might as well at least come inside.

*The party all walks inside the house and Psyko Stevo gingerly lies down on a long couch. Bill Johnson is standing on the opposite side of the room, pen and paper in hand.*

Bill Johnson: So about South of Heaven...

Stevo: Look, I want a match against the best Hostility has to offer... that's Christian Vendetta. I did what I had to do to get Vendetta's attention. If you want to know the truth though, it was that sap Mike Polowy who interfeared first, I was simply scouting Vendetta... Polowy was the one who interfeared, I just balanced things out.

Bill Johnson: Hmm, I see... and have you had a chance to catch Mike Polowy's latest promo, he had some less then desireable things to say about you.

Stevo: Of course I caught it... I saw it on the limo ride back to the mansion. Look, Polowy is out of his damn mind! He wants to talk about backing up when someone has your number? How about he takes his own damn advice. It was I who pinned Polowy's shoulders to the mat clean not even a month and a half ago. It was I who sent Polowy packing from Dynasty Wrestling and his sham of a World Championship run there, years ago. It was I who secured the pinfall in a match in which I was forced to team up with that piece of garbage. But he doesn't take his own advice... oh no, he chooses to instead insult Howie Banks because Banks took advantage of a situation... that's garbage. Then again, that suits Polowy because he's just a big piece of trash to begin with.

Mike Polowy, it's time you take your own advice and slip out the back. I've proved week in and week out that I'm head and shoulders above you, and week in and week out you just talk more garbage and duck behind your girlfriend Jimmy Moretti, afraid to step into the ring against me with that World Championship belt on the line.

You can't hide forever though. One day the cries from the fans will be too loud to ignore. One day your pride will outweigh your common sense and you'll do what Moretti doesn't have the balls to do, you'll put your belt on the line against the man the fans know is the TRUE World Champion in this federation, ME.

*Stevo finishes speaking and he looks up at the ceiling, obviously deep in thought.*

Chazz: Stevo, are you okay? You don't look so well, is something bothering you?

Stevo: Everything is fine Chazz... Part of me is wondering how I'm gonna be able to make it down to the ring next Sunday, let along continue my undefeated streak in main events... but another part of me knows that it will all work out, just like it always does.

Bill Johnson: Speaking of next week... how do you feel about the eight man tag match you are set to compete in?

Stevo: I think it's stupid... we're a couple weeks away from an all out war with Hostility and you want to send your eight best competitors, who all happen to hate one another, into the ring against each other to beat the living hell out of eachother? Did Moretti take a double dose of ignorant pills that morning or what? I mean you want to put Psyko Stevo up against Mike Polowy, you want to put Howie Banks up against Orlando Fox, put Jay Wildman up against Joey Payton, Johnny All Star up against Spring Heeled Jack... it's a retarded business decision. Save this match for AFTER the war with Hositlity, we are all still going to hate each other then.

If someone gets seriously hurt this week, it will be the end of Moretti. I can't believe he booked this match, but at the same time, part of me loves it. Any opportunity that I get to step into the ring with the paper champ is an opportunity I cherish. This is just one more opportunity for me to continue the trend of outclassing Polowy in front of the world. Then again though, I know that after I smack his ugly mug all over the arena, he is just going to come back again next week and complain about how his shoelace came untied, or how he was distracted by Howie Banks ab's, or how his team let him down, or how the blonde in the front row wouldn't give him her number minutes before the match started. That's what it always boils down to with Polowy though... excuses. Every week it's a different excuse, and every week it gets more and more lame.

Bill Johnson: Your prediction for your team?

*Stevo rolls his eyes at the word 'team'.*

Stevo: My team? That's a really funny way to look at it. As far as I'm concerned, it's Psyko Stevo and Howie Banks against the world in this match. That's the only guy in this federation that I trust to watch my back. Johnny All Star would just as soon help me win as he'd stab me in the back, and don't think that I don't know it. I know that Sonny Carter is whispering into his ear that I'm going to be the next number one contender to the World Heavyweight title, I'm not stupid...

I'm gonna do everything I can to win this match, but don't you think for a second that I'm not going to be keeping an eye on Jay Wildman and Johnny All Star. Wildman feels screwed that he didn't win that World Title last week, and he knows the only way to get a shot is to take out the next best guy, and that's me.

It's gonna be a war in that ring, and I'm prepared for anything. Don't think for a second that I'll be putting my faith in All Star or Wildman though.

*Suddenly and without warning, Psyko Stevo's most trusted friend and head butler, Jeeves, walks into the room. He is carrying a silver tray with a large crystal pitcher filled with water.*

Stevo: Ah, Jeeves!

Jeeves: Hello sir, I have brought you some Ibuprofin.

Stevo: Thank you, old friend. Say, how was your vacation with your neice?

Jeeves: It was delightful, thank you again for giving me the week off.

Stevo: No problem at all, you earned it buddy.

Bill Johnson: Well, I think I've got more then enough for my article... thank you for your time.

Stevo: Don't let the door hit your as...

Jeeves: What the master means to say is... have a wondeful day.

Bill Johnson: Right, thanks.

*Bill Johnson leaves the scene and Psyko Stevo takes a glass and the pills from Jeeves, the cameras fade to black as Psyko Stevo takes his medication.*
