Seasons Beatings had come and gone. Hours after the PPV had went off the air Johnny All-Star found himself sitting alone in the stands. He hadn’t seen hide nor hair of Sonny Carter or his new recruits since the match, and had sent JD James on his way saying he had to have some time alone to reflect.

He stared down at the ring which still looked like a war zone from the main event, the ladder that Mike Polowy climbed to retain the World Championship still looming largely in the ring. All-Star shook his head. The year was almost over and what had he proven?

All-Star pushed himself out of the seat as he slowly made his way down the aisle. It was too soon and he knew it. He had worked his way to the Championship match but who was he fooling? It was too soon. He paused at the security barrier as he looked down at the carnage that was the announcers table. He calmly looked around at the aftermath. What devastation. His eyes went from the outside of the ring the ladder still looming in the ring. He frowned as his eyes climbed the ladder one rung at a time to the very top, to where the sVo World Championship had hung.

Johnny stepped over the barricade not once taking his eyes off of the ladder. Reaching up he pulled himself into the ring. Not letting go of the rope he slowly made his way around the inside perimeter of the ring. Fixated on the ladder he didn’t even notice the rope burn he had given himself. Once he had circled the ring he relaxed his grip on the rope and walked to the ladder. As he ran his hands up the ladder the noticed Polowy’s still moist blood, so much blood.

He had to give the man credit after the punishment he had suffered during the match. He deserved that belt and everything that came with it. But All-Star had to ask himself what Polowy had that he didn’t have. He had a fire that burned in his soul that propelled him. Did his fire not burn as hotly as Polowy’s? Was he not as willing to bleed as Polowy? He thought the answer was yes.

As he looked at the blood he wondered if it was the same blood that pumped through his veins. Almost tempted to take a sample he shook his head. Polowy proved himself tonight and he deserved better. Johnny would talk to the man in person man to man and discuss the situation, and maybe he would gleam what made Mike Polowy tick. But right now he had to ponder the coming week and the beginning of the New Year and the direction he wanted to take. Decisions had to be made.

One thing was for sure. He would let Moretti, Page, and Carter have their little war, he was done. Choosing sides hadn’t helped him in anyway shape or form. He had a side and it was his. Seasons Beatings might not have been his time but his time was coming and he was going to be ready.

All-Star took one last look at the ladder as he dropped to the mat and rolled out of the ring leaving the carnage that was Seasons Beatings behind him no looking back but looking ahead to what was going to be his bright future.
