The pages of the transcript fanned across the table gleamed with crisp newness. The white of the paper nearly matched the face paint that adorned the Sanctioned Violence Organizeation's Hardcore Champion as he stared aghast at what he'd read. "I'm facing a window-licking retard..." Spring-Heeled Jack said to the empty room; disbelief writ plain on his features. Scanning the pages again varying degrees of shock and amusement played across the champ. With quick, precise motions he gathered the pages into an organized stack and stood; the legs of his chair scraping loudly against the tiles of the floor. "The match was practically giftwrapped." Murmered Jack as he began to pace around the table, "And here I thought Moretti would be upset over the loss." Jack glanced at the bulky black sVo camera rolling in the corner. He sighed inwardly, one of these days the company was going to need to update their tech. Like that sleek little silver thing Jimmy had in his office the other day. Taking a deep breath he forced himself to stand still and address the camera. "Some of you may have been following the events surrounding the top contender for the Hardcore Championship. If so, then like myself you are probably stunned that the hardcopy of his exploits is in fact type written rather than jotted down in crayon." The dark jester gestures to the stack centered on the table. "I strongly suspect we have the esteemed Mr. Jefferson to thank for that." "If you could bring youself to watch the entire episode, a herculean task to be sure, we find that however dangerous in the ring, in day to day life Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Walker seem to enjoy a relationship straight from the pages of Of Mice and Men, Does Tristan get to tend the rabbits I wonder? Probably not after the flambaed cat, but I digress..." Jack shakes his head as if to clear it. The bells in his cap tinkle furiously. He reorients on the camera; "When one finally muddles past the intimacies of Mr. Walker's trip downtown, carefully noteing his credentials for the hardcore belt where he attempts to stop a speeding car with his face, we are met with an inanely contrived (even for Mr. Walker!) bank robbery. This is where we get to the meat of the dish, as it were." Jack straightens and assumes a very serious demeanor. "Let us dissect the scene bit by bit, shall we? Walker, upon finding his life coach and by proxy his safety net, is confronted by two armed gunmen. One clearly a clown," Jack passes a hand slowly in front of his chest, "And as such, an obvious metaphor. The other, silent and darker man could very well represent another member of our organizeation who works with a clown, perhaps Mr. Moretti? "The guns carried by the duo obviously represent power, the men wield this power over the people in the bank. Attempting to force them into submission. The guns are also a representation of how dangerous the men in question are. This is expanded upon by Mr. Walker brazenly approaching the gunmen. Demonstrating clearly his precieved bravery and implied invunerability. He brazenly tweaks the clown's nose. Making a joke out of an appearance the man had adopted to cause fear, oblivioius to the loaded weapon inches from his chest. Or is he?" Jack taps a finger thoughtfully against his lips. "At that range, Mr. Walker has plenty of time to subdue the gunman before getting shot. It's very cunning in a bluntly stupid kind of way. He acts like a fop to move within the man's defenses. In effect, moving in close to take the clown's power base. Through that we could deduce that the gun is a representation of the Championship belt. This assumption that the gunmen are metaphor for Belt holders changes the dynamic, the dark man is no longer a leader or ally to the clown, but another foe to be subdued eventually. Mr. Etch or Mr. Polowy? Could this mean that Mr. Walker's delusions of grandeur surpass the Hardcore gold that he covets? If so I fear that Mr. Walker will find that the ssecond gunman is of a calibur that he cannot handle. "Now, let us not forget that this is a potential hostage situation here at the bank. This too is a symbol, The customers are just that, the fans of the federation. These people are being abused by the gunmen/champions. Mr. Walker, through boldness or stupidity, has stepped in selflessly. Without even so much as a "Save us" he attepmts to sieze the reins of power." Jack drops his hand to rest his fingertips lightly on the papers. "Mr. Walker then tells us he feels more fear of himself than of the clown. This is a double edged statement: Either it is an admission of humility and humanity that cements the benevelont character of the man or it is a balatent statement by an unrepentant braggart. I leave that to the fans to debate. "So, in the most basic and adolescent of terms, Walker is painting the scene as he knows it to be in the Sanctioned Violence Organizeation, with himself as the gallent protagonist. He leaves us with an ominous: To be continued... ensureing that there will be still more of this drivel." With a sudden flick of his wrist, Jack scatters the pages across the table. "Ah well, this is why we are gifted with patience. Soon enough, Mr. Walker will learn the seriousness of coulrophobia." |
