Growing up as a kid, long before Playstation and X-Box became some of the highest selling gaming consoles in gaming history, the Nintendo 64 was at one point one of the kings of gaming back in the Nineties. With top-selling games like Banjo kazooie, Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, and Donkey Kong 64. Even sometime later, gamers just admired the bright cartoony presentation that games like Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was able to display. I came across this journal update from a friend of mine on my Deviantart page, the subject to this post that may explain where I'm going with this. A group of individuals have put together a wonderful-looking game inspired by all those titles. I personally got to view the page myself and viewed some of the videos and I can tell that this game seems to share some form of potential. A kickstarter has been set up so they can make the game as great as it could be... Possibly better depending on the budget. The task seems simple enough: Those willing to donate anything to this game could ultimately make this a strongly possible game. So far, they've already reached their goal yet several stretch goals have been set as well. For example: If they were to reach a certain amount, they can add another chapter to the game and quite possibly some voice acting that the games mentioned in this post haven't done. So by sending a little something for all their hard-work and dedication to this project, they may attempt to bring "amazing" back to the gaming industry. Below is the link to the game they've been working on, "A Hat in Time" http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jonaskaerlev/a-hat-in-time-3d-collect-a-thon-platformer |
