In this, I will give my thoughts on the upcoming movie Amazing Spider Man. Please note that these predictions are all based on the trailers.

I will start out by saying this. I am excited for this movie to a degree. I think the actors look much better as I am not a Toby Macguire or Kirsten Dunst fan, and it looks like ti will be deep. Im glad they're going the route where Peter's parents are agents of SHIELD, I loved that story arc in the tv series (Cant speak for the comics, but I know it happened in them.) I like them starting off slow with a bit more of a minor villain So, lets evaluate specifics.

I think that the CG for this movie is incredibly lame. The Lizard looks like... a giant Lizard. And yes, thats what he is supposed to be but there is absolutely nothing threatening there. Also, the trailer scene where Spidey is in first person and climbing everywhere looks terrible, I pray that wont be in the movie itself. I think the backgrounds look nice, and the suit is ok, I just wish theyd step out of the box a little.

Im also upset because you can tell exactly what will happen from the trailers. Spidey goes through the whole origin thing, Uncle Ben will probably die, the police are onto him in this one, which is a ncie change. Spidey fights Lizard a bunch of times in different settings it seems. And it looks like Gwen knows hes Spider Man in this one. It looks decent, but Im not expecting any surprises in this one.

I think it will go the route of the Avengers where the villain in this isnt the actual one pulling the strings. The scene where Connors is in a cell shows someone (With a way over the top villain voive I may add) talking down to him in a way. Im saying its Green Goblin and after the credits theres a reveal, because it seems Oscorp is playing a role in this one.

I think if they play sympathetic Dr. Connors it would be great. But they're not. I will tell you exactly what theyre doing. They're going to make him a scientist that wants to play God and create a new super species. Again, the trailer may as well throw this in our faces. Im not expecting a great villain out of this one.

THe only thing the trailers didnt show was a lot of comedy. There was the smaall knife scene, which I thought was ok, nothing else. I do hope there is comedy in this, especially since Spidey is supposed to be one of the biggest wisecrackers in Marvel.

I love the direction they are going with the police, the captain seems like hes going to be an awesome character and I like the idea of Spider Man having to avoid police in this, I hope thats as big of an element in the film as the trailers show.

Im not sure why they picked this director. His name is Marc Webb (Im positive that went into the choice...) who has only directed one other film, which I didnt see but apparently got good reviews. They couldve picked someone more experienced but maybe itll surprise me.

So overall, Im not as excited as I was for Avengers or am for the Dark Knight Rises. My prediction is that it will be the worse superhero movie of the three this summer, but not necessarily a bad one.

I'll be doing one of these for Dark Knight Rises at a later time. So thanks for reading, please tell me what you think and give your thoughts as well, Id love to know what people think of these so that I can do more.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the film. I don't know anything about Marc Webb other than he directed 500 Days of Summer, which I have not watched, but the film looks promising. Then again, so did Green Lantern.
