Someone loves you even though you don’t think so, don’t you know you got me and Jesus. ~ Stellar kart That’s a bit of a song called Me and Jesus by Stellar kart. Which brings me to the point of my thread. No matter what you have done Jesus will always love you. If you have messed up your life real bad he will always love you. He made you with a purpose in mind. He wants you to serve under the name of God. You may be thinking right now “Tigerblitz, God is big stick of baloney. What has he ever done for me?” Well let me tell you what God has done for you. If you are reading this then you are breathing. God allows to live. No matter what some songs say Hell is not a party. It’s eternal burning and pain. Screams echo everywhere. Demons attacks humans. But on the other hand Heaven is a place where you can’t get hurt, surrounded by people you love and you are their forever. Now you may be thinking “When does the whole “Jesus loves you” bit come in?” Right here. God knew we could never get to Heaven by our self so he made a way for us to come to Him, He gave his only Son up so that we could live. Now you may be thinking “How do I get to Heaven?” Simple. All you have to do is pray to God and ask for forgiveness. Just pray something along the lines of this: “Dear God, I am a sinner. I know that I could not come to You so you had to send Your only Son to save me. I am asking you to help me not be a sinner. I want the Holy Sprit to come and live inside of me.” Congratz! You are now a Christian. You now get to go to Heaven! Now that you are a Christian I suggest you go buy yourself a bible(Or go to Bible.com)and read the chapter of Jhon. It will answer a lot of your questions. If you have a questions feel free to Pm me! EDIT I finnaly figured out how to get youtube videos on this broad. Here is the stellar kart song that I used :D : Edited by Tigerblitz, Jul 10 2008, 02:06 PM.

First of all, this is DEFINATELY going to turn into a debate... To be honest, I don't give a dang whether he loves me or not. If he loves me, so what? And you're incorrect, God didn't allowed me to live, my parents did. And I will NEVER pray to God for forgiveness. I do have some pride in life. So congratulations to me, I'm NOT a Christian. By the way, I was a Christian all my life, until last year. I thought about it and I figured that God had never talked to me, as Master says he does. So I changed my beliefs, as Christianity had never done anything good for me. And don't you find it cereepy Master that there's ALWAYS someone watching you? Sounds like something from a horror movie... |

You know what has bothered me the most about religion? That people are paying too much attention to the afterlife. Most people don't spend their life hoping to get into heaven, they spend their life being afraid of hell. Well, I'll tell you what: screw hell. I myself believe in a lot of things. Afterlife isn't one of them. I believe in reïncarnation, so there is no afterlife for me. I'm going to assume some people will say: But Black, what if there is an afterlife, and you will burn in hell after all? Aren't you afraid of that? Well, first of all, even if there is an afterlife (maybe there is. Who am I to judge?) then me ending up there is my own fault. It's not your fault, and it's definately not your business. So stop trying to convert me. Death does not scare me. If it is my time to die now, I accept that. However, spending some more time here would be very nice, since there are a lot of things I still want to do :P And Tiger, you kinda sound like a Jehovah. No offence, but I hate them. Let me live my own life, without someone else interfering in my beliefs. |

eirik this is not turning into a debate if everyone behaves properly. And tbh if you changed religion that's because you weren't a real christian. |

Haha. You Christians always have an answer to everything :P . If you don't hear Jesus, you're not a real Christian. If you failed at school, it's God's punishment for you not praying enough. If a child is born without arms, it's because the parents have been sinful. If you change religions, you never were a real Christian to begin with. And I agree with Alex, Christians live in fear of hell. Just look at the old days, around yeah 1000, when rich people were so afraid of going to hell, they actually gave almost everything they owned to the Church. Christianity is based on fear and on scaring people with hell. "Do that, or else you'll go to hell" "Give all you own to the Church, or else you'll go to hell" etc. It's not how a religion should be. Besides, Christianity is probably the most bloody religion ever. They've killed more people that America! What do you say to that Master, you who hate America's politics about war? Another problem with Christianity is that they can't accept that other's have different opinions and religions. They always have to try to turn everyone. Just look at the crusades. The Christians couldn't accept that everyone wasn't like them, so they tried to turn every muslim. If they didn't turn, they were killed. How can your God support that?! |

It's funny how you always start a discussion but not in the discussion forums. Let's settle this via PM so it doesn't get off-topic. To the topic: I don't THINK that God exists. I KNOW it. |

Meh. Can't we just have the topic moves to the Debate forum? Or you can make a thread there and we can continue :P . Ah. You say you KNOW he exist. Knowledge is a powerful thing. What evidence have you to prove that he exists? If you BELIEVE or THINKS he exists, that's ok. But when you say you KNOW it, you have to present some evidence. |

Moved to debates... My opinion, well, I'm Christian and believe in God and Jesus. You know, the kind that goes to church every week, prays, etc. To be frank, I've been in many debates about if he's real or not on another forum, and not on one really does end with anyone's beliefs changed... |

I know what you mean Doggy, whatever Master of Tiger says, I won't turn Christian and I won't turn them from being either ;) . It's useful to discuss though, as it helps us know each other better, as well as ourself. There's something I'm wondering about. Do you guys think that whether you're a Christian or not has anything to do with your enviorments (friends, family, parents etc)? |

Well, Tiger sent me a PM requesting that it is kept away from a debate and moved back. Naturally, this thread is bound to turn into one as there really isn't room for other discussion. Regardless of what content appears on the thread, it's moved back here. |

Hmm, I'm surprised that Tiger wanted this topic back. I'm sure he's smart enough to realise that when you post something about a subject as sensitive as religion (especially in this community, with Eirik :P ), a discussion will naturally follow. But I agree, unless you have a response that's directly related to Tiger's first post, go discuss your religious or non-religious ideas in the Atheïsm thread, in the Debates forum. |

Let me explain more.... I don't believe in religion because of the vast quantities of religions out there, and ALL of them claim to be true. How can I tell which one is the right one to pick? You can't. I'm not gonna bother spending the rest of my life putting all my faith in God and putting more faith into myself. |

I believe in -religions-, but not in one particular religion. LaVeyan Satanism is a philosophic belief by the way, not a religion. What I mean by believing in religions is that I thonk what they do to -most- people is great. Many humans live a better life as a result of their religion. They find hope and comfort in it. By believing that Jesus is always with them, they never feel alone. I believe that religions can be a huge driving force in many peoples' lives and that it does them good. However, I don't like how certain religions seem to think that they are obligated to convert as many as possible to their religion. They're always trying to force their views of life onto others. As we all know, it takes A LOT to convert a person to another belief. The only one who can do it, is that single person, if he makes the choice to convert. So I say, why can't we all just stop trying to convince others that OUR religion/belief is the best and that THEIR'S is bull? |

I'm a Christian, but I'm the kind that only prays twice a month, goes to Church on Christmas and Easter (maybe on Sunday once or twice), and ,tbh , I'm not proud. I believe in God, but I don't go around trying to convert every non-Christian I see. |

Frankly, I find it extremely presumptive to start a topic that so passionately argues one thing and then ask that people not give the other side of the story. I've never tried to convert someone to Agnosticism, and I've done my best to understand all religions. I have a Bible on my bookshelf, right next to a Koran. I've taken off my shoes to stand in awe in Buddhist temples and have gone to countless Masses. All are fascinating, and have done great things here on earth--but just as I acknowledge that they're right for some people, you should have the respect to acknowledge that I can decide what's right for me. Frankly, if Jesus loves me, he'll be happy that I'm being a good person. If there is an omniscient god, I don't expect him to be so vain as to require worship as well. If you disagree, that's fine, and I hope Christianity serves you well. |
