First: It fucks up your eyes which i consider very inportant Second: It fucks with your brain, also inportant Third: Not worth the fines + juvy/jailing if you get caught Fourth: I told you not to Fifth: cancer Sixth: smells nasty Seventh: see fourth Need I go on? Of course this comes from a guy who has never tryed. Feel free to list benifits besides "you feel awsome". |

First: Only thing it does to your eyes is that it pops some tiny veins. Ever had a bruise? Same thing. It heals, without a problem. Second: Yes, it's true that it fucks with your brain. That's why I do it moderately. Third: Weed=legal here. So no juvy for me :). Fourth: Covered my ears Fifth: Weed on it's own doesn't cause cancer. Even if it does, nowadays even cheese causes cancer. Guess we should outlaw cheese too then? :P Sixth: That's a matter of preference. I kinda like the smell. But yes, I wouldn't recommend starting with it. It's not addictive (if you do it less than once a day XD), but I do agree, most cons are just not worth the high. But because it's legal here, the most important con for me no longer exsists. |

Ever heard the saying "Live in the moment?" :P. Who cares if you waste your life away (which you don't by the way, not by smoking anyway), if those two hours was worth a life time? |

Ever heard of "consequences"? You may feel good for about 2 hours or more but when you get normal again you will feel bad for a day or so + you will regret it with health problems, destroyed brain cells + more in the future. I would never do it if I was you eirik...my dad gives me 10euros a week when I'm 18-20 if I don't :P (I wouldn't do it anyway :S). You have fun for a moment. You have problems for the rest of your life. Guess why people (also) suicide? |

I agree on that if it's about smoking. Otherwise, I dont. Weed (almost) never gives negative feelings, not even afterwards. |

If smoking were outlawed, yes people would get very mad at first, but in the long run it would work out great. The tobacco company CEO's could be charged with the murder/manslaughter of millions of people who died from their products. I don't smoke because I actually want to live a healthy life, I don't care how good of a feeling 'high' is. |

lol, do you know how much money the government makes of excise taxes? I don't think they're going to outlaw such a large source of money, even though it's pretty deadly. |

I don't have a problem with smoking. While I don't agree with being obnoxious about it (smoking next to asmatic people or something), I also hate coming across people who are all "OMG smoking is gross and bad for you! You should stop!". You know what? Eating that cheeseburger at McDonald's is bad for you. Drinking is bad for you. Driving is bad for you and causes more pollution than smoking. Dissaprove all you want, but keep your opinion to yourself instead of trying to shove it down my throat! (No offense meant to people that disagree with smoking but aren't pushy about it) I'm completely against anti-smoking laws (the age limit is understandable, but no smoking 500ft from a building? In a city? COME ON!). Smoking is a personal choice that's been granfather'd in just like aspirin has, it's a stimulant which increases worker productivity, it's one of the major tax revenues for the government, and it's A PERSONAL CHOICE. I'm not going to crash into somebody from smoking while driving, and I'm not going to go out and harm someone as a side effect of smoking. It's unhealthy, yes, but the entire point of an age law is to keep a person from smoking until they're mature enough to decide if smoking is worth it. As far as pollution/secondhand smoke is involved, I dissaprove of using that as an argument unless you're willing to get on a soapbox for all the other pollution causes around. What about sewage in water? Cars? Factories? Chemicals in meat (HGH, antibiotics, steriods, etc)? Genetically altering most foods we eat today with minimum testing? Before you complain about something that limits a personal choice, go complain about a company or something. You have no right to force me to make good decisions, whether it be smoking, exercise, eating habits, or anything else. That is MY choice, and I'm the only one with the right to make it. I don't smoke personally, though I do have a pipe of tobacco with my friends once or twice a year. I don't like chew because I have to clean my uncle's gross spit cups afterwards sometimes. I don't care for snuff (tried it and didn't like it), so I can't really sympathize with people who like it, though I'm not really going to stop someone from doing snuff. |

People deserve the right to smoke all they want, just like they have the right to drink all they want. Both are harmful but enjoyable to some, and they should be free to destroy their bodies as they wish. That said, one man's right to destroy himself ends where it begins affecting others. Drinking may be legal, but drinking and driving is not--because it's dangerous to others. The same should go for smoking in public places. Smoking does emit less smoke than cars do--but it builds up on top of the car emissions. It doesn't replace them. And while smoking is relaxing to many, it isn't the necessity that cars (regrettably) are. |

I agree. As long as you limit smoking to private areas, where you don't bother other people, smoking isn't really that bad. If you really want to worry about something, worry about aspirines. 12 cigs, (almost) no problem. 12 aspirines and it'll be your last headache :L . |

>.< You guys know cigarette smoke builds up in the atmosphere no matter where you smoke, right? The only thing smoking indoors helps is when you pass literally feet from a nonsmoker. |
