I think such a fix would be better included in an update for the Aerial's pack rather than the pack dedicated to fix errors in the stock models.

That's the thing; I could do that, right now in fact. But the beachball had issues with gradiation in the blue and green sections regardless. Probably a consequence of seeing things in more colors, with the issues not presenting themselves in Windows 98 of yore.

If he can magic that away, maybe with modified GFX with a pixel here and a pixel there to make the issue go away, of even if he can UV map to a single pixel and expand that to stretch the blue and green areas, that goes beyond fixing it up for IBA and instead enters the realm of stock fixing, which would be billed as compatible with IBA. If he returns the FxPage1.bmp file with IBA aerial colors, I can revert that rather easily in GIMP 2.6 and save as compatible GFX for people who don't install the pack on principle of lack of necessity to enjoy the game.

I'll see about Gel38's response in the next couple days. If I receive nothing from him, I'll roll it into a fixed IBA, compile everything Iron Bob gave for it to fulfill his "Share as received" request and bill it as "Iron Bob's Aerials milkfixed by Gel38".

I send to you my latest 128x128 carboxes for all clockwork cars, ufo, mystery and trolley, if I can. Use please only these carboxes because they looks much better then my first versions from them.

Btw, is there a way to show carbox pictures in the game in the size 85x85, with the same resolution that they more exactly looked like the originals?

^ 85x85 carbox is not supported by all versions of Re-Volt, 128x128 and 256x256 are.

if you would like me to use certain carbox files just post me a link and i will gladly use them.

Try ;)TCARBOX instead. Carboxes are indeed incompatible in 1.10 and earlier, as well custom shadowindex and shadowtable I think, hence why the winky for 1.2.

I don't think roof should have been included at all; I think roof.cam should have been put into the original Rooftops as an update for 1.2, and if anything, roof.lit (and maybe roof.vis) should have been the only roof content

But if you want to go that far, may as well go whole-hog with it and make it obtainable as a silver cup unlock. :P

EDIT: Not sure if you obtained the "Enhanced" lit file that adds extra lights to the darker portions of the map, namely the area before the last metal ramp.

Doesn't really matter, I was just saying if we're talking about PC stock fixes, then there's no doubt Roof should be an exclusion or a separate enhancement.

OTOH, since you're expanding into this, may as well make it the most complete work possible. It's going to end up in my community superpack anyway, one way or another. Also, rooftops (by default) has other sounds, from what I saw in the download for it from RVZ in /#, but yet when I drop the sounds into /custom to make it a non-Wolf R4 map (and exclude /#) I get none of the sounds. I assume I am missing a file that tells Re-Volt how to choreograph the sound, just can't suss out which.

Considering that Rooftops is missing in the older version, you would be patching something that is not there. As an adaption to 1.2, I wouldn't even mind if you included the Dreamcast cars.

Speaking of dreamcast cars, it would be nice if someone could finally make the carboxes in a higher quality (which as far as I can tell are still in a worse quality than the stock carboxes from the PC version).

I found two 512x512 texture pages with DC carboxes. I want to include them in my project.

When I try to cut them, they fit in an almost 169x169. Will work in game?

Oh nice, I didn't know that someone already went through the effort :P

However it seems RC, BigVolt and BossVolt are missing in that list so I guess the request is still valid? (a version for the green Fulon X would also be nice and perhaps the evil cars though I'm not sure if these are of the same quality as the PC version)

Most likely Passion, but I know Pure works on some things too. Not sure how active Pure is today.

Also, I see in the improved carboxes, BigVolt, BossVolt and RC Phink are missing. Why?

I for myself have a folder called "Espressofix" (cause it's stronger than milkfix) that includes all kind of fixes.
Dreamcast content, 32bit textures, OGG soundtrack, high-res fxpages, ... and also milkfix.
It's beyond fixing, more like bringing it to the next level. If people are interested, I'd have no problem maintaining and releasing such a thing.

I'd keep milkfix as it is, without any major modding, since it should in my opinion fix and polish the original Re-Volt (while adding missing stuff like Rooftops, the DC cars would be nice to have, especially the big and the boss one.) Some might prefer a vanilla Re-Volt.

Definitely pack enhancements to Rooftops so people can apply fixes on top of the copy of Rooftops available from Re-Volt Zone. I would also say consider fixing up Fiddlers On The Roof but maybe you can assist Marv in that so he can update that project.

If you want to get into carboxes, make sure you enhance ALL the boxes instead of leaving a few out, if at all possible. Adjust shadow values with values Huki gave you in the past if need be. (I'll be doing this anyway for my pack so no worries if you use the cars as-is.)

Far as enhancement to cars, YES use Strix's repaints. Not only because Strix's goal was enhancing the stock paits for each car, but also I cannot quite suss out what PRMs to use with his paints so you can go through all that effort yourself.

As for a name? How about "Milkfix+D", D for Dreamcast, but also D for vitamin D, often found in enriched whole milk.
