This pack bundles everything together, old, new and otherwise (As well, provide individual links) to all these RVL repaints I've been committing. Before I continue, BIG BIG thanks to Jigebren, He's been quite helpful through the entire process of dealing with a Blender noob. Additional credit where due! Allow me to present...

ElectricBee's big Re-Volt Live modification thread

My motivation to do this was simple; I wanted to mess with 3D a bit, I liked the blue style RVL was going for, and the low-hanging fruit was clearly obvious to me with this project.

Summary (for the impatient);
This pack comes with the following:
RVL intros
RVL pickups V1 + V2
RVL countdown V1 + V2
Stock go3 fix
RVL fireworks
RVL FxPage GFX

Quick instructions:
- Copy over stock somewhere in your local filesystem
- Access either V1 or V2 in the archive, and copy all of its contents over

The only difference between the variations are the countdown and pickup models. See update information below for more information.

The first of these cumulative projects were the GFX that I made for the intro screen. Preserving the original logos whenever I could, I turned the splash screens into what you see below;

But this alone was not enough; I sought out how to edit 3D images via Blender, and through a link in ORP, I found jigebren's website. After sending him an E-Mail, I received a reply with the input/output plugin attached and got to work:

My directive was clear -- Whatever yellow and red I could open and edit in Blender is to become turquoise, and some shade of teal. I satisfied this to the best of my ability with modified countdown models Updated 01/21/15:

I also had made GFX for the pickup icons (Bolt, star and more recently fireworks), modified the directional arrows to suit the theme, and modified the stock font to match. Updated 01/21/15

Update 01/17/14

After some downtime and fuss about my computer's hard disk, I finally scraped off what motivation that hadn't dissolved away and put it to use in my most extensive use of Blender for 2014. So I present to you the modified firework!

So why isn't the bottom visible? It's mainly because I had to make the body of the firework blue in color -- The yellow on the firework body appears to be a hardcoded overlay, so I took advantage of that and cancelled it out with a blue body. I removed the texture from the firework body, so I fixed that and the firework body now appears blue! I also included a modified FxPage1.bmp to make the lasers and firework emitters blue in color Updated 01/21/15;

Update 01/29/14
After taking a closer look at the RVL star icon, I noticed it was some shade of blue and grey. So I decided to make new RVL icons that reflect this;

Update 02/14/14
Discovered the color depth and bitmap alpha issues were indeed rooted in the configuration fo Gimp 2.8, used Gimp 2.6 to modify FxPage1.bmp. Some thread cleanup, also.

Update 09/13/14
I screwed up badly with the update prior for pickup models. So whiile I was revamping all the models I was also able to resolve the issue I had with V1 go1. Also removed the individual pickups and countdown packages, and rolled firework into each model set package. A bit redundant but eh.

Update 10/24/14
Posting one more image, this is separate from the archive but it covers a few compatibility tweaks, such as Gel38's blockfix beachball from my Beachball Fix thread, and my aerial set. This will be updated as I release new aerial colors so people using this mod aren't left out in the cold.

Because of how EBA is set up, the stock aerials work with no problem whatsoever with this texture;

Update 01/21/15
I reverted the aerial texture to stock colours, and included ElectricBee's Aerials for users of Iron Bob's Aerials; Follow its instructions there.

That is the extent of the modifications so far! Pending, but unable to really edit in Blender due to skill issues:

Cups
Clockwork stand and TT dial
Whatever other elements I can find that's part of Re-Volt's branding.

If you are a Blender expert who can do this yourself, or can edit Re-Volt's models with other tools then feel free to! The theme uses these colors whenever possible:

V1: █▓▒░00BFFF░▒▓█
, █▓▒░008FBF░▒▓█
V2: █▓▒░00AEEF░▒▓█, █▓▒░3D3D3D░▒▓█

I will also submit corrections on request, if I am not using the "Right" colors.

This is a very nice addition. I like it.

You should do some red or green ones too, or any color you like. It would be nice for track makers to have custom stuff like these to put on their tracks ready-for-use.

This is a very nice addition. I like it.

You should do some red or green ones too, or any color you like. It would be nice for track makers to have custom stuff like these to put on their tracks ready-for-use.

Well, this isn't the "Request model mods" thread, this is the Re-Volt RVL themeing thread. There should be a request thread though, but I'll leave the task to someone else more experienced and more articulate about modding than I.

No it does not. Actually it does have one extra in /stock, it has the fixed go3 mesh from Jigebren. Since my PC decided to take a dump on me earlier I no longer have some of the stuff from before, but once I get my new hard drive I'll reinstall blender when I get around to it and recolor the fireworks. Might even repack the blue lasers from Jailhouse Rock if I can figure what file does it.
