Great list RV_Passion! I had RC Revenge, but decided to sell it and upgrade to RC Revenge Pro. Just recently, I purchased RC Cars. Played the heck out of the demo! Lots of fun!
I have left the Re-Volt scene.
It was fun for a while, but I've moved on to different things. Maybe I'll return one day...

Is there any particular reason you keep feeling the need to bump topics with? Please stop it. (Unless it is relevant to the topic at hand.)

Also, stop quoting HUGE posts, it's totally unnessacery.

I'm sorry Skarma. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to post something. I won't bump anything else unless totally necessary. :(

RC Revenge Series were the thing right after Revolt. Not only did they have the fun atmosphere like their older counterpart, and they still had the option to drive boats in completely awesome tracks. I've spent ridiculous amount of time playing that thing with my cousins in their ye olde PS.

It's remarkable that someone hasn't tried modeling out the cars yet (I tried 3D modeling once, but I'm just too dumb and lazy to get the basics... I think I'll just stick to drawing...)... Anyways, seriously, if anyone ever bothers to make RC Revenge and RC Revenge Pro car models and tracks for Revolt, I'll love them forever. *_*

RC Racing Offroad on YouTube
This game catched my attention since it was brought up by algorithms (Google or Amazon, based on my interests) while I was searching for Re-Volt related informations and material. I couldn't find any informations about this particular game at all, so I gave it a shot and bought it for less than 1 dollar. Can't be that much of a mistake at that price or can it? At least so I thought, but watch yourself.

This game seems to be in a pre-pre-pre alpha state or some kind of proof-of-concept demo version. It has actually made it into the stores in this state of development. It looks like a spruced up version of the Re-Volt engine, or at least they tried to. It runs so horribly slow on my PC (Core I5 3470, 16gb DDR3, GTX 660ti)... what machines did they have in mind? I wouldn't care if it looked better than Crysis 3 but hell this should run with 60fps on a Pentium 4. The physics seem to be awfully buggy either. Car is sliding around on the dirt as if it would drive on ice.
People, if you ever stumble across the name of this game and wonder - don't bother with it. You're not missing anything. I wouldn't mind a port of the tracks and cars to the Re-Volt engine though.

That game is already mentioned in the first post but thanks for the video link anyway.

Though I have noticed that the countdown and car engine sound awfully familiar to Re-Volt ones...is that version of yours the current latest one or an alpha/beta build?
I'm not sure if its legal for them to use the same sounds for their game, especially if they make money off of it...

My build is the goldmaster-version that was in the stores. This vid wasn't recorded with hotfix v1.1 that is available on the magnussoft website, which only fixes input customizations.

Has anybody tried to import the cars from those games ?
I mean, wouldn't it be cool to have vehicules actually based on real RC cars ?

I'm simply wondering and don't have the skills nor the time to do such a thing.

I think there's been a few done.. at least the cover car from the RC Revenge games popped up on rvz a few weeks back.

As far as I'm aware there aren't any concentrated efforts being made.

I don't think so unfortunately, otherwise me and Mladen would have opted for that route...

Ripping the PSX ROM (or was it PS2, I don't remember) was something that's been brought up for ages now, countless times, but no one bothered to check it out and see if it was feasible... :(

^ if its the same as re-volt, forget it.

the file formats are not even the same. every individual piece will need to be converted for PC use.

are you sure RC revenge wasnt ported? (gamefaqs says it was)

I don't think so... and Gamefaqs says it was ported to where?

I think someone tried to (or at least mentioned) the possibility of porting it to PSP format and then to PC (I think it was Nero), but there hasn't been an update on the subject ever since...

There was an Initial D version, though I never got to play it as it got replaced by the Redline Rumble games.

Is it just RC cars in the traditional sense?

Rocket League has tight, grippy handling and the cars have a prominent antenna.
Then again... stadium. idk

Saw this pop up on Steam today. I remember seeing it first on Steam Greenlight.

Looks almost like Re-Volt, but could use some more work on the presentation side. It's aesthetically bland.

It's more of a simulator than a game.

I saw this way before the Steam version came out. I played a trial version of it, but I didn't get the most of it on a keyboard. You need a pistol-grip controller or at least a gamepad to really enjoy it.

Has a crap business model (you need to buy from a range of deluxe licenses for any extra content), but if you want the real RC experience without having to maintain a car then this one's good enough.
