Balint ~
Where to begin? I think I'll start with "Ooh...ahhh...now that's something different!" :D

Great job, dude. That subtle introduction of orange into the base color really creates a cool effect...that for some reason I want to describe as 'soft glowing harmony'. You have a similar thing going on to RV_Passion in that you -could- have ended up with a slight deficiency in contrast. Your choice to use that yellow accent line however, serves to separate those elements from each other and make the transition between them stand out enough that it provides the necessary contrast to create that 'visual pop' I spoke of. Your use of this is a rather subtle one, but it does serve to show how that technique can be used to create a paint scheme with slightly more visual impact and color clarity.

You have also done a nice job of using color to accent key styling features like the smaller hood inlets, with another interesting placement of stripe and color on the door panel. The hood vents running down the center are both original in design and also serve to lend a nicely aggressive appearance to the vehicle, with the vent on the back end of the front fender being a nice touch as well. Your head and tail lights are nicely detailed and your use of the RVL branding...while subtle, is cleanly and pleasantly executed.

Overall, that's a nice little piece of work, Balint. :TU:

You guys are making it awful hard on me to decide which one I want to vote for!

Yeah, me too. Didn't think that such a simple competition could lead to similar results...

...and I was simply stunned by the way Balint can repaint. Ever thought about starting carmaking, dude?

RV_P's one looks nice as well, liking the stripe-like taillights :)

And that copcar... Ooooohhhh

just be spontaneously when you don't have any ideas or you can paint your cars like cars you know maybe from earlier repaints that you've done

i hadn't any idea too but then i remembered my cop car for an other competition and had a lots of ideas

Even if you don't know, just screw around with some effects, you might stumble across something that looks good.

GDM ~
Even though it's true that already having an idea can be helpful, sometimes it's easier to just get your creative car moving then worry about your exact destination as you see where the journey takes you. Sometimes all it takes is that one little seed of inspiration that you can use to grow into an entire thematic concept. So I would recommend that you jump right into it just to get yourself started then you can adjust your course depending on how you like the view as things go along. (lol...so was that metaphorically confusing enough?)

And I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but I was doing some thinking about the fact that the wheel was exactly 50% narrower in width than it would be if it were a perfect circle. This led me to believe that they did something similar with the rest of the texture. So like I said, this may or may not be helpful, but it looks like you could paint your texture as shown below (I doubled the width) so you wouldn't have to deal with scaling all the individual elements and then resize the image back to 256x256 before saving the final texture.

Perhaps that will make things a tiny bit easier. :) Now go get to painting! :D

What Mythic says is true.
In fact, all cars which have 'squashed' rims in their texture were originally planned to have a *256x128* texture, when in development. I knew this since I got the DEV folder :)

yes it's an usless advice Mythic

you mean useful* :)

By the way, I don't know what to send to ZR. Only the bmp and bmo files, or the .hul, parameters of toyeca (so the whole toyeca folder), or this and some images of the car, or anyhing else?

About centering the wheels: My program (PaintShop Pro 4) shows coordinates, and with that I can easily center them. Look for it in your program, it may contain this too.

About creative ideas... I usually watch some sports cars on google to get some inspiration ;)

[offtopic](I'm working on a new repaint which I think looks cooler, but I won't be ready till the 1st of May.)[/offtopic]

Don't worry about it, dude. Just join in when the next one comes up and give yourself enough time to work through any problems you might have. You'll get there. :)

I sent the box, the file bmp of the identical car, its parameters to the same file of origin (toyeca), apparently, there is no problem.
