Magic of course.
... and the changeling cheat code mixed with a fade in between clips thrown in there for good measure.

Yuh, that's what I mean -- how on earth did you get the fade to show properly while the car _moves_?

The two cars are separate clips. I drove around the S bend then drove blindly straight for a few seconds, stopped recording, switched cars and drove backwards for a few seconds, started recording, then drove straight ahead and continued. Then I just cut the parts I didn't need and voila. The last one of the ZR.exe transitions was the smoothest, I really didn't take the time I'd have liked to on them as I was a bit rushed.

That's some seriously precise backwards driving then :)
Anyway, hat off to you for such an effect.

Nice use of the particle FX. And the darkened/desaturated/whatever-ed look it got after those filtering processes made it hard to me to recognise that the car you're driving is actually a TC1, lol.

You know, it's a good effect otherwise, but the clear sky behind the rain gives it away...

That's something Zach pointed out to me as well. As I told him, SHH! :P
Should've switched the skymap before recording...

Definitely, Dave. But that won't need video FX, hence ZR couldn't show off his editing skills that way xD

Nicely done.I'm not fond of drag racing but man, it's happening. Now what track we coul-

Oh wait, jsut had an idea.I know we have that Downhill Jam track for Re-Volt but I thought of updating that one.In case that's impossible, there's always a Plan B: Not sure about it, but I remember playing Tony Hawk Pro Staker 3 for PSX and well, I found that Downhill Jam level amusing for me.Even if I sucked but I hardly remember that level now.
