Mai swore as she looked over the damage to her mobile suit. The Mirage was fast, powerful, and had an assortment of features that many pilots would love to get their hands on... and yet here she was...AGAIN... having been beaten down by three more suits that had etched into her memory. She had paused to reflect on the turn of events after using the Mirage Colloid system to get out of the danger area of the REM members and their newly acquired base. She was currently up to her elbow n metal as she fished inside of one of the injuries to the Mirage trying to dislodge some of the shrapnel that had clogged one of the joints. She didn't have much time for repairs but she had to at least make her suit travel worthy to get over to Asia. Why was she joining a team? The concept was slightly bewildering when she thought about it. But then again she had just witnessed what a group of well organized individuals could do as a whole... and it made her blood boil. Her fingers slid across the small plating of shrapnel as it threatened to cut her hand through her glove, her mind beginning to race as she remembered the fight. She had spent much of it in single combat with the 0 Gundam but she'd caught glimpses of the others... an Earth federation Ball unit, a heavilly armored melee unit, and her latest bane the 0 Gundam. Her fingers tightened their grip on the metal and began to pull, her arm tensing with strength at the resistance she was met with. Her lips moved in silent whispering of what played through her mind. "Ball Unit, strengths include maneuverability and ranged weaponry attaché. Weaknesses, lack of armor and melee capability." She envisioned how it did its damndest to avoid getting into close range with the Taurus. Watching how it maneuvered also proved to be fruitful knowledge. It allowed her to see for herself how its propulsion system carried it. It would make valuable knowledge the next time around. "Sandrock unit... opposite of ball." She surmised. Had she been a less serious individual she may have laughed at the irony of the polar opposite MS. "Strengths include armor and heat weapons. Used for getting in close, pilot highly trained." She called to mind how it spun and maneuvered when dealing with the Leo’s. The pilot had become deadly with the heat shotel's it wielded but she had still seen little in the way of ranged weapons. An optional beam rifle perhaps? "Weakness, long range weaponry. Unable to return fire and arguably slow." That last brought her to her latest vendetta... The 0 Gundam. Her hand tightened around the shrapnel as she remembered having to dodge for her life. Every strike it made with its beam saber at her was a connecting line to her training with Kabuto and that was a very bad thing to be affiliated with. The expression on her face was one of stone but she ripped out the metal with new found strength before examining what she held in her hand. She had cut up her palm and fingers which now stained her glove with blood. "Multi-unit... Gundam 0." She looked at her distorted reflection in the blood coated piece of metal. The red hued the images in her mind as she threw the metal onto the ground. Now wasn't the time to dwell on the matter in-case they decided to chase after her. She wasn't even sure if they'd remember such a 'weak' opponent as herself. To them she was probably nothing more than a novice pilot like the leo's they had been dispatching. And that thought made her even angrier than the fact she'd been beaten yet a THIRD time. Yes true she was outnumbered and expected to defend a base that was a bit of a lost cause but she still hated living on what she termed borrowed time. "Three times now I should have been dead." She got back into the cockpit and began addressing her wound. Wrapping the bandage she looked at her monitor. "Green Frame, Throne Eins, Ball unit, Sandrock, 0..." She wouldn't forget them and one day she would return to set things right. But in the mean time all their talents were now fixed firmly in her mind and they'd have to use a new set of moves on their second encounter. |
