Giga Float was preparing for the debate of a life time. In the blue corner, famed hero Charlie Alpha. In the red corner, Malcolm Kepler. The fate of coordinators and newtypes was on the line, and the crew was coming out in full swing. Mechanics adjusted lights, cranes created roofs where there were none before. On site, the men of Neo Zeon movement were having a pre-debate party; all parties welcome. Punch, coffee, and cake was being served liberally to whoever passed by. Giga Float mechanics ate next to mobile suit pilots, talking about the debate to come. |

-Ryder- Zipping across the pacific ocean as fast as possible the white and blue machine was heading for the Giga Float. From the chatter over the radio it was the hot destination with a debate between leaders of the coordinator and newtype community. Being a natural put him a step below either of them but it didn't matter as he was sure he could handle either of those genetics himself. "So thats the Giga Float?" The GN machine came into view of the large floating colony. Being from Orb he had known about the city but hadn't personally seen or dealt with it himself so this was a first time himself. So coming in he sent over his information as waited for approval before arriving at the mobile weapon deck. "Alright buddy I'll be leaving you for a bit so be good." Petting the cockpit screen he opened the hatch and locked the machine down with a biometric code before getting to the ground. Setting down on the floor level he looked back at his partner and then checked his Orb styled clothing to make sure he looked half decent. Once everything was in order he headed in. |

Malcolm Kepler went over his notes again with Everie, for the thousandth times, it seemed. Really, it was only their 7th, he realized. Memories of the 6 previous run-throughs rushed through his head, and he turned the torrent aside as he found his focus again. The words he had prepared flowed easily enough from his tongue, but Everie wasn't watching only his words, but his tone, and his body language as well. Everything had to be perfect. The audience and press coverage would be enormous - bigger than any that Malcolm had presented to previously, and things had to be perfect. He'd chosen his outfit earlier in the day, a simple-but-elegant 3-piece suit, in the latest fashion. Everie had approved almost immediately; she knew that he had the better sense for fashion. She had also approved of the gait he had adopted for walking up to the podium - neither too proud nor too humble, too quick or too slow, too confident or too unsure - and the posture he would adopt while answering the questions put to him by CA and the crowd. Everything had been worked out. Malcolm felt ready, and was almost bursting with expectation, despite himself. "I have a feeling the crazy part hasn't even started, Malcolm," Everie said softly, as Malcolm finished with his response. "I know." Malcolm replied. It was going to be an interesting debate; he hoped this meeting with the self-proclaimed Zabi robot would go better than his last, but there were no guarantees. |

Hanging out on the Giga Float turned out to be boring than he would have thought... Yeah it was a floating Mecca for junk dealers but he wasn't a junk dealer nor had any need for the stuff. Despite being a prototype his Astraea was still the latest technology and there was nothing these guys had that could help him with her. His Lady of Justice was perfect. Dealer - "Come one come all we have the latest in mobile suit technology! Straight from Morgenrote itself!" Interested Ryder turned to look at the stand and noticed all sorts of gear, including a 75mm vulcan cannon he recognized as a standard weapon onboard Orb navel vessels. Nasty weapons to anything but Phase Shift as he had seen tests of the weapon against GINN armor with the later being turned into swiss cheese. But as nice of a weapon as it was, it was still mass produced with the CIWS being in use all over the Earth Sphere. Other strange things included what appeared to be a quantum computer. Looking at it closely the dealer turned to him with a glint in his eyes hoping to have a customer. Dealer - "You young man!" He pointed at Ryder drawing the attention of the crowd. "That there my friend is a special computer imprinted with the information of an Ace pilot. Any who own it are able to draw on the experience and support of heroes past." But as dramatic as the guy was trying to be the Orb pilot wasn't falling for it. Looking the man in the face he laughed. "Your full of it. Just another snake oil saleman preying on the violence plaguing this world. Go crawl in your hole and rot." The dealer seemed stunned by the remark and took a few steps back as the crowd joined in with the heckling. As quickly as the crowd turned the man closed up shop by dropping a metal screen over his stall and locking up tight. "I hate these people..." Was all he said as he headed towards the area where the debate would be staged. He wanted a good look at it in hopes of spotting a good viewing spot without being dead in the crowd and noise. |

The Mars F90 hit 3Gs over the Pacific Ocean. For Charlie, it was child play - but inside, Johnny couldn't help screaming. Charlie was pushing the suit to its limits, flying by ships, mobile suits, and all else. He even collided with a few sea birds, their bodies splashing against the F90. At least because of the paint job, no one would notice. The mobile suit approached Giga Float, radioed his identification and landed. Charlie popped out in his droid form, and Johnny staggered out of the cockpit. The two headed through the market place, passing in front of dilapidated Zeon mobile suits, half-destroyed mobile armors, and alabaster white models from Orb. Johnny paused to watch, and didn't even notice Charlie roll off. He turned his head to the robot, noticing it leaving, but then back to the mobile suit. So what if his 'master' was going off on his own. He could use a break from him. "You there! How would you like to fight with the power of Shin Matsunaga! I got it right here in this droid - I'll give it to you for a quarter off - no, half off! 5000 credits!" Johnny was surprised. There in front of him was the spitting image of Charlie's droid - but white instead of red. He walked closer to it, and sure enough, it had everything Charlie did, right down to the little port Johnny had learned contains the tazer. |

Arriving at the site of the debate he began to survey the site. Already people were setting up the platform, seating area for elites and the press and blocking off the general admissions area. It was a pretty big event considering the topic... Sadly there seemed to be no representation for those who were genetically superior. But it was alright since he considered his position as an Orb citizen and a mobile weapon pilot to put him in similar standings as so called "genetic freaks". Security Guard - "What are you doing?" It came from behind him and as Ryder turned around he noticed a burly mall security looked dude staring him down with beady brown eyes. "2nd Lt. Kyle Ryder of Orb. I'm here to check out the event under orders from my government." It was a lie of course... Though his orders had been vague to start with. All he had to do was to show his ranking and the security guard stared blankly at the fellow standing before him. "So just ignore my presence. I promise that if anything happens I'll help secure the peace of Giga Float." After all the Junk Guild had good relations with his home and he knew a few Orb engineers had helped build and operate this place. Security Guard - "Alright sir. Well good day." Turning away he walked back off to help with the event planning leaving Ryder standing there admiring his own guile. Stuffing his hands in his pockets he around the area to see if there was anything else of interest. |

Johnny walked away from the stall, heading for the stage. He saw a few people gathering around the pre-debate refreshments, grabbing this and that. He took a coke from a poor looking party table. Upon closer inspection it was actually a Gouf shield. Guess that's what happen when the Junk Guild sponsors a party. As he did he noticed a man decked out in the uniform of the Orb military. Being from Mars, he couldn't really decipher Orb from any other military group, mercenary or otherwise. He approached the person assertively, extending his hand to 2nd Lt. Ryder and announcing himself. "Hey there. Johnny Dawson, Blue Zeon. Nice to meet you." |

"Blue Zeon?" He asked not familiar with the group off hand. Were they another spacenoid revolution group or maybe a mercenary force... He was sure. "Kyle Ryder, nice to meet you." Taking the handshake solidly and then ending quickly. "What brings you to an event like this?" |

"My boss. He's got this crazy scheme to bring order to the world. I'm from Mars, so I don't understand this terran stuff. Where are you from?" Johnny took a gulp of his beverage, enjoying his one day of R&R. |

"Bringing order to the world? Sounds like stereotypical badguy plot line..." He thought as this Johnny guy talked about why he was here. It seemed like Blue Zeon could be trouble but instead of giving his hand up he remained calm and unaffected. "Originally from Orb. Now of day I just travel around and seeing all the interesting things of the world, like this event. I was surprised it was as heavily publicized as it was. Just who are the two guys speaking?" He needed to know because otherwise he would be completely unsure of what this debate was even about. That would be embarassing as hell now wouldn't it? |

"One, is my boss Charlie Alpha. He's arguing for a newtype-led government and coordinator blame for the colony drops, I think. The other, Malcolm Kepler, wants equality for all races and says the drops weren't his fault. I'm just here for the food," Johnny said, taking a bite out of snack. "So, you looking for work?" Johnny queried, his mouth full. |

"Newtype led government... that would be interesting though suck for me..." Continuing the mental conversation in his head he followed what this guy was telling him and converting the information into something actually useful, like who might be a problem in a future. This Malcolm guy seemed closer to his ideal than Alpha but in the end his allegience was already set. He would forward Orb and help keep it safe with his Tarot of Justice Astraea. "Work? Depends on the pay and whats involved." Relaxing he wanted to give off the appearance of laid back and uncaring of what happens. He also wanted this conversation to go on in order to get as much valuable information as possible. |

Enki sat in the bowels of the Teletha as the large warship neared Giga-float. Enki was feeling a little queasy from the sea as he neared it an hoped the Giga-float's surface wouldn't cause the same problem. He had taken some Dimenhydrinate to make sure it didn't get any worse but, he expected his body would be used to it before long. The Junk Guild, those that had built and currently maintain Giga-float, were probably the best candidates to build a better world; out of those organizations that had survived the colony drops. It was a pity that the Junk Guild had no interest in making a government. They were an organization of engineers, mechanics, pilots and anyone else willing to work on salvage for a days wage regardless of genetics or creed so long as they were not violent. They were an organization to protect. ~ After arrival Enki was greeted by a member of the Junk Guild. The man was smoking a cigarette and looked drowsy enough to have not slept for at least two days. "Enki hammond right?" the man said taking a piece of crumpled paper out of his pocket and smoothing it out on a nearby I-beam. "Need your signature here." As Enki began reading the document the tired man yawned and shifted his weight continuously, showing his impatience. "for cryin'... it just says that you don't attack us with that spiffy ship and you use 'ur mobile suit to defend us if someone comes lookin' to baste our britches." Enki quickly signed the paper after giving it a skim to verify what the man had said. "you ought to get some sleep." he suggested "Work to be done, salvage to be dredged, later" the man said walking away and leaving Enki on his own. |

Jaiden watched Enki enter the debate grounds from the cameras of the N Dagger N Kai. He'd gotten past the mobile suit security guards easily enough and found a good spot to watch over the debate without disturbing things. He kept an eye out for anyone that might pose an aggressive nature toward this event. The N Dagger N's Mirage Colloid would keep him from view. " Anything yet Na?" " Nothing. Doesn't seem to be any explosives set. I've cleared the perimeter and am now checking the staging area." " Good. track down Surge and keep me posted." "Gotcha...... Wait a minute!!! Who the hell made you the boss!!? I'm gonna put your head so far up you ass you'll-" Jaiden cut the comm link laughing. Then he took a sip of his iced tea and sat back in the cockpit. It was gonna be a long day. Part of him wanted it to be uneventful, but another part of him hoped that someone would be stupid enough to attack Giga Float. He'd be waiting to strike the poor unknowing fool down. |
