An image of a mobile suit cockpit fizzled into life. It jerked a few times before seeming to settle. Arturia appeared in the image, she sat herself down into the seat and looked up at the camera. "Ok, so I decided to keep a video record of this to help me keep track of everything. I'm currently in Superior Gundam on-board the Valhalla." She pulled a laptop into her lap and began typing away. "This will be my first attempt at improving the suits on board A.I. Alice with better communication ability." A series of cheerful beeps sounded at her words.

Arturia gave a small shake of her head. "Now I do want to say before I begin that I don't expect this to work the first time. A.I.'s are complex to say the least. But hopefully repeated attempts will give me some success." At this a series of doubtful beeps sounded and Arturia got a sour expression on her face. "Nobody asked you." She huffed a bit and returned to typing on her laptop. She paused for a second and ran a hand through her hair.

"Ok, I think its ready." She tapped a last few keys and waited. A few seconds went by before a loud static screech issued into the cockpit. Arturia grimaced and quickly hit a few keys on her laptop, stopping the noise. She gave a small sigh. "Looks like that wasn't exactly a success." A series of rueful beeps sounded. "Nobody is asking you!" She huffed at the machine and went to work analyzing the feedback she had gotten from the test.

The screen flicked on to show the cockpit again. Arturia was already seated inside rubbing her head. "Ok, so this has proved to be more difficult than I expected. But I am making progress." A series of mocking beeps issued out of the speakers and Arturia groaned. "Do you really think that motivates me to try harder?" Sighing she returned her attention to the camera. "This will be my twelfth attempt.and while no visible progress has been made. I think I am getting the hang of it. As I said before an A.I. is very complex, and it seems unless I can make something that is compatible with her on a basic level, it won't work." She punched a few more keys before looking at the camera. "Ok I think I might actually get a vocal response from this one."

Hitting a final key a small burst of static issued from the suits speakers. Seconds passed before a slightly garbled sound was heard. "Hello Arturia." A grin broke out on Arturia's face. "I did it!" She felt great until Alice chimed in. "I would hardly call this success." Arturia groaned as the A.I. pointed out the garbled sound. "Nobody was asking you Alice!" Though she yelled at the A.I. a small grin was still on her face. She punched a few keys powering down the program she had added. "Arturia will I dream?" The A.I.'s finally attempt at humor earned a small sigh from the girl. "This will take a bit more work."

An image fizzled onto the screen, this time showing Arturia with out her laptop. "Ok, after a bit of re-working I believe everything should be working now." She pushed a few keys on the console and waited. The cockpit's screens blinked a few times and went black. Arturia got a confused look on her face and hit a few buttons on the console. However it proved to be unresponsive. She gave a small sigh. "Well I didn't expect this, maybe it's still not working." She went to try to console again, but jumped when the image of a girl appeared on all the screens.

"Correction, it worked quite well Arturia." Arturia stared at the screen for a moment. "Alice? Um whats with the image?" The girl on the screen regarded her with a blank expression. "From what I have observed of people Is that expressing one's self through body movement is a critical part of interaction. While technically the Superior Gundam could be considered my body, I felt using that to express myself could prove somewhat destructive. So instead I chose to represent myself with an avatar on the screen, to further facilitate our communication. That is what you desired yes? Arturia sat there somewhat in shock before nodding slightly. 'That's all true, but I never even suggested something like this.' Deciding to think on it more later, she queried up a quick system diagnostic. "Well Alice, lets take the system through a quick work out to make sure everything is meshing ok with your voice program." The small girl on the screen nodded, and the two of them set to work.
