Canibus recently signed with brand new record label "War Lab Records" and is set to drop his new solo LP "Melatonin Magik" very soon.

This album has crazzzy production, as well as many big name artists that are coming together to make this one of Canibus's best albums yet.

For more info go to http://www.jakejansen.com until the new website is up. There are a few recent pictures.

You can also follow this album on http://www.twitter.com/melatoninmagik

im just sayin is all ...

^What do you mean you're "just sayin'?" Are you not a fan or something? I figure you are, or else you wouldn't have posted it. Be proud if you're a fan, fuck the Canibus haters and what they think, now and forever.

good to hear that he's doing a new album but i've not been feeling his more recent stuff. hopefully this will be a return to form.
I'm riding on a dolphin, doing flips and shit.
The dolphin's splashing, getting everybody all wet.
But this ain't Seaworld, this is real as it gets.
I'm on a boat, motherfucker, don't you ever forget.

Me and you are nowhere near the same pedigree. Not in layman's terms, hypothetically, metaphorically, lyrically? not especially. Theoretically we just different genetically.

Last I really paid attention to was For Whom the Beat Tolls and I was very satisfied. Not sure if he had anything out since then, I don't fuck with mixtapes or side projects so I'm not really sure.

Mic Club/Rip the Jacker/For Whom the Beat Tolls were all ill little albums from a conceptual standpoint.

I don't even think he is trying to "spit knowledge'. I think Bis is at this point, all about the imagery.

Rap needs to broaden it's horizons, so I'm cool with a dude being a little more on the abstract end.

cosign, but even if it is all about the imagery i don't have a fuckin clue what he tryin to say recently! its kinda impressive but hard to get into.

on the 'droppin knowledge' point i heard that people who actually do know about all this crazy shit he trying to spit about say that he pretty much is talking jibberish and that very little of it makes sense from a 'scientific' viewpoint

Should be a decent album

Probably his aim is to make the listener active instead of just being passive.
Be the piece of the giant puzzle?

But i dont know for sure.

Rip The Jacker is his best album under that abstract style (and his best album period imo), the songs on that album aren't too hard to understand, he was mostly talking about his career.

For Whom The Bell Tolls was a little too out there, but I still enjoyed it.
