Hiroko picked up her backpack from the floor, and looked around at the large mansion anxiously. She was amazed as well, but fear was the more dominant emotion at the moment, as she quietly searched with her eyes to see if anything big and bad would pop out of nowhere and punish them for trespassing and entering this wondrous and mysterious mansion. She squeezed her purse a little, secretly hugging her little hedgehog plushie in the process, and relaxed just a tiny bit as she heard a soft squeak come from her purse in response.

Sparx looked around, grabbed his backpack, and cautiously explored the area with his flashlight in hand. "Well, are we just gunna be standing here the whole night? Come on, let's go check this place out!" he said with a grin.

"I'm with Sparx on that one, let's go take a closer look around," Ichigo agreed, walking along and looking around at the huge mansion, as if he might find something incredible if he looked hard enough.

"Yeah, yeah, we're coming." Lily groaned. She was getting tired of carrying her stuff around when she'd normally be sleeping or watching late night tv while daydreaming about which triplet she thought was cutest at this hour at night. She dragged her backpack along on the dusty floors as she walked. She listened to the scuffling sounds of shoes in front of her and behind her. The creaking of the floors as they walked made the place a lot creepier than it already was. The Chichester triplets were in a quiet mode as they walked around with the group.

[Okay, my imagination is very...uh...burnt out right now. ^^;;; I can't think of much for them to see at the moment...or do, or whatever... ^^;]

(Yeah, I know, I can't think of much at the moment either. >.> ^^;;; *Tries to think of something to squeeze into this post....*)

As they walked around and explored the large mansion, they discovered that the hallways were indeed long and winding, and that there were many doors on either side of them as they walked down the dusty hallways. Sparx curiously strayed from the group for a moment to open one of the doors, only to be shocked at the fact that the door lead to yet another hallway with more doors of it's own, rather than a large room like he had expected to see. "Hey, guys, look!" he whispered as he shined his flashlight into the new hallway.

Hiroko and Ichigo turned around and walked over to Sparx, and gazed at the door Sparx opened. "This door just leads to another hallway, and with more doors, too!"

Hiroko stared a bit, then walked over to another door close by to the door Sparx opened, and peeked inside curiously. "So does this one," she said with surprise.

Ichigo crossed his arms. "Huh, so the doors lead to more doors? I can see why people could get lost after a while."

Sparx stared on for a bit, and looked over at the group. "Do ya suppose this is part of the maze of the mansion that the myth talks about?"

"Maybe, or maybe this just leads to the ultra-confusing mazes that the smartest people on Earth can't figure out," Ichigo said with a grin.

(Gah, took me long enough just to think of that..... ^^;;;;...)

[xD It's a good start. Now I've gotta think of something good too... xD]

"Whoa." The triplets gaped inside the door that Sparx had opened, where there was a long hallway and only more doors to be seen.

"That creeps me out." Hiro took a tiny step into the hallway Sparx opened up and turned around. "I mean, there's gotta be rooms somewhere in this place. Right?"

"Maybe but..." Lily began but didn't finish.

"But...should we really risk getting lost if 'the smartest man in the world' can't figure his way out?" Taku rubbed his elbow nervously.

Aki looked around and sighed quietly to himself. So maybe one myth is partly true, but that still doesn't mean there's supernatural activties in this house. Aki thought to himself as he wandered a bit down the hallway. He didn't realize it, but something made him feel like he needed to open the door at the end of this hall. So when he got there, he opened the door. Instead of being another hallway with more doors, this one was actually a room. A big room.

His eyes went wide when he noticed he didn't need his flashlight for this room, it was already lit with a lot of candles and lanterns. Aki's eyes went even wider and he gasped softly when he saw a beautiful, but old and dusty grand piano in the middle of the room.

Aki took a step toward it, and then felt a tug on his soul. He wanted to play it desperately all of the sudden, so he quickened his pace. He caressed the side of it and walked all the way around it before he sat down on the piano seat. He tapped a key hesitatingly and then spread out all of his fingers more comfortably...

Lily heard a sound, the sound of just one piano key being played and whirled around. "Wh-What was that?"

"Um, it sounded like a piano but Aki's not here, guys." Taku searched frantically with his flashlight for Aki, but these were just long halls, and there were no hiding spots unless Aki decided to take off down these maze like halls by himself.

But that wasn't like Aki. He usually tagged along with his brothers and if he did leave them, he'd say so first.

"A-Aki?" Taku called with some fear in his voice.

"He's probably trying to scare us, Taku." Hiro laughed and shrugged it off.

"Wait a minute," Kisu smiled, "There's an open door way down that way!"

[Okay, I have a short-term idea. (Finally xD) The ghostly house draws Aki to the piano room 'cause...well, the house hates him for being a non-believer in ghostly stuff and when he starts to play the piano for at least half a song, it makes everyone disappear and splits everybody up from their favorite partner/friend to be with until they reunite somehow. It's the only thing I could think of right now, cause they're not supposed to have deadly things yet...and it's also a chance for our characters to interact with each other/bond more cause it's really hard in a group like this. xD; It's also a bit of a challenge for me. xD *shot* Anyhoo...yeah, I hope this is okay and good. xD *shot*]

(Okay, that sounds like a good idea. XD)

Hiroko, Sparx, and Ichigo looked over to the open door Kisu mentioned.

"Do you suppose Aki went in there?" Hiroko asked quietly, a little spooked by the sound of the single piano key as well, and hoping that Aki hadn't disappeared like Taku seemed to be worried about and that perhaps it was Aki who made that sound from a piano or something that wasn't spooky or ghostlike.

Sparx looked around briefly at the hallway and all the doors, and shrugged. "He must have, where else could he go?" Sparx reasoned.

Ichigo titled his head to the side. "Hmm...." He walked a bit towards the open door. "Well, let's see if he's in there, then," he said as he walked.

Hiroko and Sparx exchanged looks, and followed cautiously.

[Yay xD]

Lily was a little freaked as soft piano playing started as the group got closer to the door. When they all entered the room, Aki's playing got more dramatic yet sad. Lily was finding his music eerie but Hiro and Taku were familiar with the style of the piano music, it was something Aki composed almost a year ago. But to be honest, Aki didn't write piano music as much as he wrote guitar music or wrote songs. With the way Aki was feeling right now at the piano, maybe that would change.

"See guys?" Hiro nearly snickered. "It is Aki. And he's not lost."

"Woooow." Kisu ran up behind Aki in the gaze of the elegant piano and his heavenly playing. "Aki, you're really good!"

Aki seemed to not have noticed Kisu there, though and said nothing as he played. Lily walked up beside him, and watched him play when she saw his eyes seemed to be unfocused and he didn't seem like himself. "Aki?"

"Yo bro! You can stop playing now, cause...you accomplished your goal and freaked some of us out." Hiro wanted to get back to exploring the house again. There was no response to anyone from Aki. Aki was nearly half finished his musical piece when Taku noticed his very own vision fading in and out, like he was disappearing or something. He didn't know exactly what was happening but when he tried to touch Hiro out of panic, he blacked out.

Hiro had a similar experience when he saw Taku coming towards him. Lily and Kisu looked around and noticed Taku and Hiro disappearing in front of their very own eyes, and before they could even gasp, they vanished as well.

When everyone had vanished, Aki stopped playing abruptly, he was quite mindless at the moment with no thoughts, and the house sent him away too.

[Just a note, I don't care who gets paired up with who, it's just that the triplets and Lily can't be together cause it's obvious they like each other a lot. xD And they could be paired up in twos and one is left by his or her self for a while...cause they're an odd number. xD But you probably already knew this stuff. xD *shot*]

(They are? I thought there were 8 people.... = \ But anyways, alright then. ^^)

Hiroko stared at Aki as he played on with the piano. Something didn't seem quite right, but she couldn't figure out what. Maybe it was the sound of the music he was making, or at least that's what Hiroko tried to tell herself. Nothing was wrong except the eeriness of the music, though if Hiro was right, Aki was doing this on purpose to scare them and all.

Sparx looked curiously at Aki. He began notice something was off, too, when Aki would not respond to Kisu or Hiro. "Aki, is something wrong?" he asked cautiously.

It was then that Hiroko, Sparx, and Ichigo began to notice that something was happening. They were experiencing the same thing that was happening to the others, and before they could react, they vanished.

~*~*~*~

When Hiroko regained consciousness, she found herself to be in a completely different place than the room they had been. She looked around, panic flooding in as she noticed that everyone had vanished. "Aki? Taku?? Hiro???" she called out, hoping that they were nearby or something. She got no response. "Lily?! Kisu?! I-Ichigo?!" she called out their names as well, still getting no response. She waited in silence before whimpering out the next name. ".....S-Sparx?" When she still got no response, she leaned against the wall and slid down to the ground, curling her knees to her chin, and held her purse tightly to her chest. "Anybody....?" she whispered quietly out loud, as if screaming it would annoy the house even more. She sat there as she came to the realization that she was now alone. All alone...

~*~*~*~

When Sparx came to, he too found himself in a different area of the haunted mansion, instead of the piano room they had just been in. He held his head for a moment, and looked around confusedly. How long had he been out? How did he get here? What happened to everyone else? Those were the questions drifting into his mind. He looked around briefly, until he heard a disgruntled voice moan. He whipped his head around to see that it was Ichigo, who was now also waking up.

"Ugh, what the heck happened?" Ichigo questioned aloud as he stood up and looked around.

"I...dunno," Sparx replied. "One minute, Aki's playing that weird piano, and the next....well, I dunno what happened...." Sparx looked around him, then his eyes widened. "Wait, where is everybody???"

Ichigo looked around and shrugged. "I dunno...." He cupped his hands together and shouted to the top of his lungs, "YO, GUYS, WHERE ARE YOU?!?!" and looked around for any response, though it seemed that he wouldn't be getting one.

Sparx frowned a bit at that. "Do you think they're all okay? Wherever they are?" he asked worriedly.

Ichigo shrugged. "Beats me, but I hope they are. I mean, what could possibly happen?"

[Oh...you're right. xD I think I forgot to count someone when I was counting them... xD Oh well, it doesn't matter... xD]

Taku opened his eyes and found he was lying on the ground. He quickly recalled what happened before he blacked out, with Aki looking strange and his vision. He scrambled to his feet, and he looked around. He had been laying in one of those long hallways with the many doors. He could tell this one was different than the others he had seen because this hallway's doors were shaped different and the color of the walls were different too. He was already spooked about what happened, but when he heard a sound of a vase smashing, his eyes were wide as saucers and he raced in the opposite direction of the noise. Taku hadn't clued into the fact that he wasn't with his brothers at the moment.

***

Hiro wasn't fully awake yet when his sub-consciousness felt a warm something on top of his cool body. He embraced the warm thing with a weak sigh, when that something spoke.

"Are you awake?"

His eyes snapped opened and he saw a shy Kisu trying to escape his arms. He let go instantly. "Sorry...I-I...no, I wasn't awake." Hiro said as he sat up and scanned the room they were in. It was very dark, despite the small quarter moon's light shining through a small dusty window.

"Where...wait, what the heck happened?" Hiro shot up frantically.

"I dunno..." Kisu said quietly, "I can't find our flashlights, an-and I think we're alone, we've lost everyone."

Hiro was honestly surprised when Kisu found his silhouette and held his arm out of fear.

"By the way, which one are you?" Kisu bit her lip, she couldn't tell which triplet she was with right now. How she could tell was through their bangs, Hiro's middle bang hung in the middle while Aki's hung to the right and Taku's hung to the left. She couldn't see Hiro's hair because he was back to the moonlight. Or, the other way was through their vivid personalities, but Hiro was slightly panicking, which anyone would do in this situation.

"Hiro. I hope you weren't wanting Aki." Hiro chuckled weakly.

Kisu giggled, "You're all cute, I don't care."

"Oh...good then." Hiro shrugged and held Kisu's hand more comfortably. But that was when he noticed something. He didn't have his backpack! In that bag was something special to him, something nearly more precious than life itself...in his backpack was Mr. Grumps. "Wait a minute! Where's all our stuff?!"

"Right here, Hiro." Kisu led him bravely to their backpacks that came with them, and Hiro dove for his and hugged it. Kisu laughed.

"Okay, now for my next question. Where are our friends and my brothers? And how are we going to get out of this crappy maze place?" Hiro slung his pack over his shoulder.

"I have no clue...but we should...look for them, shouldn't we?" Kisu held her backpack in her hand.

"Yeah..." Hiro said weakly, he was starting to become afraid of the crazy house. Maybe those myths were true, he didn't know, but whatever just happened to them was very strange indeed.

***

Lily woke up fairly fast, and when she did, she found she was in a tall room with a door on the ceiling that she could never reach in a million years. It was so high, she couldn't climb or anything to get to that door. There was nothing in the room, it was just semi dark and bare. With a door on the ceiling. She whispered curses under her breath as she broke out into a panic. She yelled for the others, but she couldn't hear any response. She thought it was just her luck to have a 'soundproof' room, although it wasn't really sound proof, she was being sarcastic. She sat in a fatal position in the corner of the odd room, hoping someone would find her or a miracle would happen so she would be freed. She couldn't think of any way to escape the room.

***

Aki opened his eyes to find his drowsy body laying in a huge king sized bed. He had been curled up comfortably in blankets while his brothers and friends fell on the floor. But he didn't know that.

"Wh-What is going on?" He rubbed one of his eyes, he felt unusually tired. His arm felt like a hundred pounds right now. He decided to stay in the comfortable bed for a little while longer. He started thinking about was strangeness overcame him, and he wondered why he was alone, and why he was here in this bed.

While he was trying to figure out that stuff, the mattress started warming Aki's cold body up considerably.

"Heated...mattress?" Aki slurred his words in utter exhaustion. His strange fatigue also made him wonder what was going on but he didn't know how much longer he could fight to keep consciousness.

He didn't know the mansion wanted him to sleep, and that was just what the crazy house was going to do-make him sleep. The reason for this was, the house knew Aki would do anything to find his friends, especially his brothers. But if the house kept him in here, sleeping, Aki couldn't find his friends and family. He would be so drowsy, he didn't have the strength to even think about what happened earlier, thus, the house would keep the others stray for a long time, until they died off. Just like all the rest of the rebels who dared to enter this mansion. (Or maybe this bunch of friends were stronger than the rest, but the house didn't suspect that yet...)

"Wait...I...should check if Hiro is okay and the others..." Aki said slowly, moving like a sloth to the edge of the bed. He actually made it to the edge, but he wasn't strong enough to stand and he fell on the floor with a long groan. But the house was annoyed by Aki's persistence and created an illusion of Aki's mom.

"Aw, Aki-kun..." She said very soothingly and lifted her son onto the big bed. "Your little friends are okay." She smiled and hugged Aki's body, "But you need your sleep, Ducky. Look, you have bags under your eyes, sweetie."

Her voice made Aki's eyes heavy. And when she caressed his cheek, he couldn't keep his eyes open. Aki's mom tucked her son into the huge bed with a smile that seemed to be slightly evil.

"Mom...why are you here?" Aki asked slowly, his eyes closed. Despite how tired he was, he still knew where he was, and he knew that his mom didn't join their journey.

"Sweet...dreams." Aki's mother avoided the question and faded away when she saw Aki's chest rise and fall in a peaceful way. He was sleeping.

(Lols. XD; The counting is confusing, for some reason.... O-o XD; And yay for brain blasts! ....Now if only I could have one. =-=; ^^;;;..)

Hiroko only stayed where she was, sitting on the floor like a poor, lost child that wanted to be found. She briefly looked around her, she wasn't sure of what she should do. She had no idea how long she had been sitting there, hugging her purse so tightly. She was too scared to get up and explore, to search for the others. What if something should happen if she did? What if, if she left from her spot, she would get lost even more and never be found? She wished desperately for someone to be here with her, for someone to keep her company and provide the courage she could not conjure up. But she couldn't just sit there forever, she had to at least try to find the others, shouldn't she? Isn't that what Sparx would do? she thought quietly to herself, If we were separated, like we are now, wouldn't he go and look for them? She wasn't sure of what to do, but finally, she bit her lip as she decided that it might be best to move on, to see if she could find at least one person, someone, anyone that she knew. Hesitantly, she got up from the floor and looked around. She noticed her backpack some feet away, and went to pick it up. She slung it on her back, and, while hugging her purse until the little grey hedgehog squeaked, she went to the door of the room she was in and opened the door. She left the room easily enough; the house did not bother much with Hiroko, since the presence of the house itself was enough to scare her, and she wasn't exactly much of a threat to the house at all, not like Aki or the more braver ones now lost in the haunted mansion. Cautiously, she stepped out into the unfamiliar hallway, and walked on, looking around for any sign of the triplets, or of Lily or Kisu, or her older brother Ichigo, or of Sparx....

~*~*~*~

Sparx and Ichigo had begun searching for the others on their own as well, taking turns calling out everyone's names in hopes that one of them would hear them. It seemed like they would never get a response back, and it only made them worry more about the safety of their friends.

"Ugh, where could they be?" Ichigo said frustratedly as he searched the hallways, opening doors he could open and looking through them briefly.

Sparx looked around as well. "Well, they can be anywhere, this place is huge...." Sparx muttered quietly as he searched.

(Might have to edit later, although I'm too braindead really to think of something to happen with Sparx and Ichigo.... D| Unless you can think of something...? *Panned* Bleh, well, in any case, sorry it took a little while to reply, I didn't get the chance/time to until now. ^^;...)

[xD Well...I'm not very familiar with Ichigo, and maybe not even Sparx but I think I can suggest somethings, at least to inspire something perhaps...I don't know. xD They could enter a room full of ghosts, or they find a room of something either of them likes and gets drawn into it, stalling them on their journey to find their friends, or the house switches Ichigo's and Sparx's minds so that Sparx is in Ichigo's body and vice versa, or...go here: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=roomloc It's a room generator mostly for the fantasy/horror genre and generates names of random rooms/locations and you can decide what's inside and stuffs. That gets your imagination running! At least, for me it does sometimes. xD *shotdead* Anyway, I really hope that helps somewhat... xD;]

Taku raced down several halls in his fright. He ended up seeking refuge in a room after opening and slamming a door. He leaned into the door, panting heavily and trying to gather his anxious thoughts.

"Oh dear. Oh no! Wh-Where is everyone?!" Taku thought as he realized he was alone. His eyes seemed more terrified than when he heard the sound of a vase smash not too long ago. He turned around with his back leaning on the door now, still gasping for his breath and gulping out of fear. He played nervously with his long fingers, twitching, while his mind was in a non stop overwhelming state. He was so uneasy his mind couldn't concentrate on one thought. Until he looked up from the floor, and saw something strange.

A ghostly, skinny but pretty looking European woman in an evening gown floated not two feet away from the frightened Taku. Taku let out a small, high pitched yelp at his sighting of an actual ghost. His eyes were round as soccer balls and he scrambled for the door knob. But she, the ghost, stopped him by gently grasping his hand.

"Wait, don't leave..." Even her voice sounded pretty.

Taku trembled, his breathing started going irregular and his face paled more than it already was. The ghost was touching him. He didn't even think ghosts, if there were any, could touch things at all! He stood there froze, staring at the sight. She started speaking again.

"You look like a sweet young man...handsome indeed." A shy smile crawled upon her pale lips. She looked at his thin, young body from his head to his toes. Taku realized a ghost was taking a strange liking to him, at this very second! Nothing but a frightened squeak came out of his vocal cords. He was scared stiff, but he was scared to nearly his death when a big, tough yet proper looking ghostly man flew into the room.

This ghost's voice boomed angrily at Taku, "What man dares to touch my wife?!"

Taku's knees weakened but he was too scared to even fall when the man ghost threw a knife at Taku. It pierced the door only an inch away from his head. The house was clearly just picking on poor, little Taku now...would he even survive the rampaging male ghost, and if he did, would the woman ghost still pursue this handsome young man in a more admiring way?

***

Hiro and Kisu begun their trek deep into the dark room they were placed in. As they inched further, the room was completely dark. They couldn't see anything and Kisu clung to his arm finding everything so very eerie. Hiro cautiously took the lead, slowly stepping into the dark. He didn't want to take much chances of falling through the floor or tripping or crashing into something when he didn't know what had become of his brothers.

Only a little bit farther and the both of them heard snapping or crunching noises as they walked. The ground was uneven now and wherever they stepped, something broke.

"What the heck is on the ground, Hiro?" Kisu moved in closer to Hiro. Previously, she had held him at arms length away but now she was a little more scared.

"I dunno, and frankly, I don't know if I really wanna know what the heck were stepping into." Hiro frowned and actually tightened his arm around her semi-protectively.

But then a eerie voice told them what they didn't need to know. "Welcome to the mansion's hall of skeleton bones."

[Meh, I'm just doing these three for now cause I don't have any ideas for the other two yet. xD]

(XD; Thanks, Whispers. ^^ That does help some, though I still dunno really what to write at the moment.....though I have a vague idea in my head right now... = \ ...)

After a while of walking down the winding hallways, and jumping in fright at every tiny noise she thought she heard, Hiroko decided to stop for a while. She slid her backpack off her back and sat down in the hallway, back pressed against the wall. After a moment, and after she realized that she was shaking with fear, she decided that she should try to calm herself down. She opened up her backpack, remembering that she had kept her color pencils in there, and pulled them out carefully, along with a dark blue, spiral-ring notebook. She flipped the notebook open to a fresh, clean page, and pulled out a slender, icy blueish-white color pencil delicately from it's plastic case. Maybe if I draw something cute and cuddly, it will calm me down, she thought to herself as she pressed the color pencil to the paper. Yeah....that's it. Something cute....like a bunny! And with that, she drew out the figure that would be the little rabbit in her notebook. Occasionally, she would pull out from the plastic case a rose-pink color pencil to use for the insides of the ears and anywhere else where the pink color was needed, replacing her color pencils back into the case when she wasn't using them at the moment, for she didn't want to just set aside her color pencils on the floor. When she was done, she had successfully drawn a furry little white rabbit, nibbling at an orange carrot. She admired her drawing alone in the isolated hallway, but she wasn't the only one admiring the drawing...

~*~*~*~

As Sparx and Ichigo made their way through the maze of hallways, a quiet noise caught Sparx's attention. "What was that?" Sparx asked aloud, looking around him.

Ichigo raised an eyebrow, looking curiously around as well. "What was what?"

"That noise, I heard a 'thump' somewhere...." Sparx muttered quietly as he looked.

"Maybe you're just hearing things, Sparx," Ichigo reasoned. "Fear's probably getting to ya and making you hear things."

Sparx shook his head. "No, I'm pretty sure I heard a thump, like something landing on the ground or something...." That's when Sparx came across something odd. He bent down to take a closer look, puzzled by what he found. "Umm, Ichigo? I think I found out what made that thump noise I heard...."

Curiously, Ichigo went over to where Sparx was. He blinked a bit as he saw what Sparx was looking at: A white little ball of fur, two long ears, and a cotton ball-like tail, nibbling away at a carrot. The two exchanged looks, both wondering the same thing; where the heck did this rabbit come from?

(Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but it makes a curious idea to work with anyway, since I haven't really done much with Hiroko for her to have much importance in the RP....so this kinda changes that a little so that something is actually happening with Hiroko, too. The mansion doesn't bother with her at first 'cause they don't see her of much of an issue, but after "watching" her draw, the mansion gets the idea to use Hiroko to draw things that come to life inside the mansion. First it's with the rabbit, to test to see if it would work, then the mansion controls Hiroko to draw monsters or other weird things that come to life and attack the others. But yeah....you think that would be an okay idea? ^^;;;..)

[Yeah, it sounds okay to me. xD Glad you thought of something!]

"Well?!" The male ghost demanded an answer when Taku didn't respond.

"I-I d-did ...u-uhh...s-she, I-I, um, mean to s-say..." Taku's heart was beating in his throat and he stuttered and stammered like he had never before.

"Spit it out, boy!" The ghost ordered with his booming voice.

"I-I...didn't-mean-to-interrupt! I-I'm engaged m-m-myself!" Taku let out in one nervous breath. Taku looked up at the large ghost with fright in his eyes, while the ghost just stared at him.

"Engaged you say? Then what trick are you pulling over your fiancee's eyes? What a monstrous, deceitful little human you are, having an affair with another woman!"

"Wh-What?! N-No! It's not like that! I wasn't trying to have an a-affair with your wife!" Taku tried to explain himself better.

"Be quiet! Is it not enough that you're committing this sin, and now you must lie to me as well? I've caught you in the act--red handed, my devilish child! You should perish." The ghost took the knife in the door, ready to jab at will again.

"Come, darling!" The female ghost took Taku's hand much more readily this time and went right through the door at a racing speed. Taku was flabbergasted when he was pulled through the solid door. He didn't feel a thing. But his mind went back to other more important things when he looked back. The big ghost was pursuing them with rampaging anger. He gulped and looked back at the woman ghost, who was trying to help him.

"Why are you going against your husband?" Taku asked her with curiousity.

"He's a controlling buffoon that I'm stuck with for all of eternity." She responded roughly.

"Oh." Taku nodded, it was pretty obvious.

"And I can tell you are sweet. There is nothing as sweet as you are, not even sugar or the finest candies."

Taku stared at the beautiful young ghost woman in shock. That was a pretty big compliment for Taku to take from a strange ghost he just met. There was no way he was being compared to sugar and candies--and yet she said he was sweeter than all of that!

Lily felt like she had been in the room for hours now. She didn't have a watch, so she couldn't check the current time, but it was so boring and she could swear that she'd been in there for the longest time.

She started getting paranoid about things now. She thought nobody would ever find her in here, this weird room. She thought she'd die here, like the rest of the people who dared to enter the mansion. She wished she would've never came. She wanted to know how the triplets were and what they were going through right now. But she thought it couldn't be anymore painful than her own situation. And it was so quiet in the room, she could hear her thoughts echo. Or, that's what she thought anyway.

While she was being paranoid, she thought she heard the floor above her creaking or cracking. She looked up at the high ceiling in fear. She didn't know what was up there at all. She wanted to be positive and think it was someone she knew. She wanted to call out to them desperately, but she wouldn't allow herself. She ultimately thought there might be something scary up there. Lily did not want to bring any unwanted attention to herself.

What she didn't know was, it was someone she knew above her. In the floor above her was a large room. A large master bedroom to be exact. On top of the door to the room Lily was trapped in was a large, king sized bed. And in the bed was of course, Aki Chichester.

So almost literally, one of his friends were right under his nose and he couldn't help her. But what was worse, was the fact that the floors of that room were rotting due to termites. And the evil mansion knew it. The creaking sound that Lily heard was the sound of the floors whenever Aki turned or rolled in the bed, restlessly. His mind knew he had something urgent to do, but he couldn't wake because the house had him in its spell, so to speak.

If Aki tossed and turned in his sleep too much, it could cause the floor boards to finally break. It wouldn't result in a very happy ending for Lily who was trapped beneath.

Aki's Nightmare

It was a bright sunny Saturday afternoon. And here I am, in the front yard watering my wife's plants. I, as in me, Akihiko Chichester. My wife likes to call me by my middle name though, Domnall. I don't really know why exactly.

So here I am, in the front yard with the garden hose, looking at these pretty flowers in my shorts and t-shirt. My wife is soaking up the warm sun on the deck, she's thin but her belly is as round as can be. I should mention that is because she's 7 months pregnant. She's really not overweight or anything, but she thinks she is even without the baby inside her.

Our pet rat is also outside with us, sniffing around and wandering too close to the road. I don't care much. The rat's as ugly as can be. I received the pest as a present from somebody only yesterday, after our pet bat was killed...but my wife seems to like the new pet.

All seems quiet until Hiro pulls into the driveway with his brand new sports car. My wife screams at him, and I look over to see just what went wrong.

"What's wrong?" I ask as I walk over, still pointing the hose at those pretty flowers. My wife seemed to be crying now.

"Your brother ran over our pet rat!" She wailed and started sobbing into my shoulder. I just know being pregnant makes her emotional...it's a crime. I shake my head at Hiro, who is getting out of his fancy, awesome car. He has his usual 'What did I do?!' expression on.

"This is the last straw, Hiro!" I started to get angry with him. "In just two weeks I've bought my wife eight pets: a dog, a fish, a lizard, a snake, a bird, a mouse, a spider, a bat and you've managed to kill them all! Even this rat that I didn't buy, this rat that was a disgusting gift, you've managed to kill that too!"

Hiro looked surprised and then started to defend himself, saying it wasn't his fault, that they were all accidents.

"Well of course they were accidents, Hiro! I wish you were more careful, but now I'm fed up with this. You can't come here anymore!"

Hiro's lip started to quiver and I looked away bitterly. He simply got in his car and quietly drove away.

That night I crawled into bed with guilt burdening me so greatly, I felt I weighed an extra thousand pounds. My wife just told me that it was a good thing, she never really liked my brothers anyway. That only put salt in the wound and I started yelling at her for not liking my brothers. And that night, I slept cold and alone on the hard leather couch.

The next morning, I watched the news only to find out that an apocalypse happened overnight. My jaw dropped as I saw that firestorms, killer robots and diseases swept the world over night. There were only 38.8% of worldwide survivors and I was one of them! When I turned to go see if my wife was okay, I noticed that half of my house was completely burned down. The half of my house that my wife had been sleeping in, with the unborn baby in her tummy. When I realized she and my baby were gone, I cried with horrible grief.

Hastily, I went out in my pajamas to see if my brothers were okay. I drove down the streets with unbelievable panic as the scenery was quite terrible. When I got to the street my brothers lived on, I was too devastated to talk as I saw there was not one survivor here. The community was completely black--burnt down to the ground in ashes. I cried in horrible grief again. I wanted to die too, in the firestorm. My life was nothing now...and if I had perished with them, I would not feel this horrible pain.
I could die here tonight
Your beautiful words in my soul
I could die here tonight
And you wouldn't even notice
You wouldn't even protest
-
We could lie here together
Pulling the stars from the sky
Maybe things will get better
Maybe not, I don't know why
-
Do you feel scared like I do?
Do you feel lower than angels?
Do you feel scared like I do?
Do you feel love so high?
-
Am I your sinking star?

(Lols, glad you think it's okay.... ^^; XD)

As Hiroko reached into her plastic case for another color pencil to begin drawing out another picture, she felt a sharp pain stab at her head. She groaned, holding her head a bit, but the pain faded away as quickly as it came. Ugh....that was one painful headache right there.... she thought to herself as she returned her attention back to color pencils. She had wanted to pick out the same rose-pink color pencil she had used on the rabbit, but suddenly, she found herself drawn to the jet black color pencil, which hid in the corner of her case almost ominously. Well.....drawing something cute helped some....but...maybe...drawing.... But Hiroko suddenly found herself unable to complete that thought. She mindlessly gripped the black color pencil and sketched into her notebook of strange, dark creatures, occasionally pulling out her shades of purple and violet and indigo and sketching the colors into the bodies of these strange creatures. She pulled out a crimson red, and with it she sketched the beings' eyes. When she was nearly done, the creatures appeared almost dog-like. Vicious, black dogs with spiked bodies and dark purple designs on their legs and faces, and glowing, menacing blood-red eyes. She pressed her crimson color pencil to the creature's teeth, so that it was stained and dripped with what appeared to be blood.

As Sparx and Ichigo were busy pondering over the appearance of the rabbit, they hadn't notice another, most sinister creature come to life yards behind them. That is, not until they heard a demonic snarling from behind. With wide eyes, they looked behind them and yelled in shock as a dark creature with spikes protruding from all over it's body charged towards them, bloodstained teeth and all. Ichigo dashed away as he saw the creature, Sparx following behind him but not before first grabbing the helpless rabbit from the floor. Sparx didn't want whatever it was behind them to kill the rabbit, and it sure looked like it wanted to rip something to shreds alright. With the rabbit in his arms, he dashed after Ichigo, the two of them running as fast as they could as the demonic creature pursued them in the hallways. Neither one dared to look behind them, for fear of seeing the thing right at there heels, and unfortunately, it was gaining speed. Ichigo saw an open door ahead, and pressed himself to go faster for the next few yards. "Come on, Sparx, hurry!!! There's a door over there, if we get there, we can lock that thing out!!!" he yelled over to Sparx.

Sparx nodded, picking up his already fast pace as the creature gained on him. Sparx turned in time to see the creature about to pounce on Sparx, but luckily, Sparx ducked in time to see the creature fly over his head, only to land a few feet in front of Sparx. It turned around, snarling at Sparx as it bared its teeth, and was about ready to pounce and sink its teeth into Sparx, when Ichigo jumped on top of the creature. Ichigo winced in pain as the spikes pierced and gashed his arms and side, and he tried to hold the creature down long enough for Sparx to escape. "GO! I'll hold him off, Sparx, just GO!!!" he yelled to him, struggling to keep his grip on the furious creature as it shook and snapped its jaws at Ichigo.

Sparx stood there paralyzed, then ran ahead to the door. He turned around when he got to the door, waiting for Ichigo to get off the creature and run for the door. "Ichigo, come on, get off that thing and run!!!"

Ichigo struggled for a bit longer with the creature, then jumped off the creature and ran as fast as he could while the bloodthirsty creature got up and chased down Ichigo. Ichigo managed to get to the door and slammed it into the creature's face as it was about to pounce on him, and pressed his back against the door as the creature began to bang again and again into the door. "Ugh, Sparx, try to find something to block the door before that thing breaks the door down!!!" he ordered as he tried to keep the creature from breaking down the door. Sparx nodded, set the rabbit down on the ground, and looked around him quickly. He noticed that they were in a room now, and the first thing that caught his attention was a large dresser/closet. He immediately rushed to the dresser and pushed as hard as he could to get the dresser over to where the door was. After much effort, from Sparx's pushing the dresser to Ichigo's keeping the creature from entering the room, they were able to block the door with the dresser, or at least for the moment. Growling and snarling could still be heard as the creature relentlessly continued to attempt to break down the door that was separating it from Sparx and Ichigo. The two were panting hard, trying to catch their breath and slow down their rapidly-beating hearts. They were safe for the moment, but how long would the dresser stand as a blockade before the creature eventually broke through?

Oh, how Aki's nightmare was so cruel and yet so realistic! How he tossed and turned, whined and whimpered in his sleep. He had the most emotional sleeping expression he ever had in all of his life. His red eyebrows wrinkled tightly together, his eyes tight shut--maybe even a glistening tear was streaking his cheek. Worst of all, it keep repeating itself over and over deep inside Aki's mind! He couldn't escape it, he couldn't wake up at all.

Each time Aki tossed, the floor would creak. Depending on how hard and rough he flipped, the floor would buckle every so often and Lily caught wood chips and dust in her hair that fell from the rotting ceiling.

She wondered what could possibly be up there, and what in the world was it doing?!

The ghost raced through the crazy house, through walls and floors and doors with Taku dangling from her hands. Finally, she ended up in a dark library that never had been used much. She let Taku stand alone on his own two feet again, while she floated near him.

"Th-Thank you for getting me out of there..." Taku inhaled and exhaled deeply, trying to calm his nerves from the ride.

"I know how you can repay me..." She whispered slyly.

"R-Repay you?" Taku stared at her with confusion.

She just smiled and took a lunge at Taku's lips for a kiss!

"AH!" Taku yelped and ducked, he didn't know how to physically stop a ghost. "Wh-What in the world? I don't want to cause anymore trouble here! Please don't, even though I have no clue how a ghost is able to kiss someone and feel it, Please, just don't!"

"Why are you scared? I know you like me."

"I'm saving my lips for somebody else!" Taku curled over into a ball, his chin in his knees and his arms around his legs, "Somebody help me..."

"Would it feel better...if I wasn't just a transparent soul wandering around, handsome? Would you kiss me then?" The ghost floated by Taku's side.

Taku only squeezed his legs tighter and laughed nervously, but he didn't mean to laugh. The ghost didn't know the meaning of purity, obviously. But Taku did wonder if she could actually make herself solid. Then it would be easier to hold her away from himself, at least...

Hiro and Kisu stopped dead in their tracks when they heard what was lying on the dark floor.

"Skeleton bones?!"

"Like human skeleton bones?!" Hiro was beginning to become disgusted. "This is so wrong! So very wrong!"

"What could have happened here that so many bones are just lying on the floor?" Kisu wondered.

"Again, I don't want to know..." Hiro flinched as he tried to take another step ahead but he heard the sound of snapping bones again.

"The skeletons are from all of the people who dared to enter this haunted mansion and never survived..." Said the same voice, "The skeletons arrive here after all flesh is gone from the body. Everyone of the deceased human's souls live and haunt this mansion..."

"There were many people here then!" Kisu clung to Hiro, "We're going to die, the others are probably already dead!"

"This is just grossing me out. The more I don't want to know about it, the more I hafta hear about it!" Hiro was disgusted. "I can't do it, I can't walk here anymore. There's gotta be another way outta here, maybe some place where we can see what were walkin' on!"

Hiro turned and started heading in the same direction they came in before, but with Kisu starting to squeeze him to death.

"Kisu..." Hiro choked while he walked, "Can you lay off me a bit...because I think my vital organs are being squished together and the blood isn't flowing to my heart. I don't know if I can live if they're permanently crushed..." Hiro wheezed. She had strong arms for a small girl...at least when she was scared like that.

"Sorry...I didn't mean to, I'm just frightened..." Kisu eased off and pat his tummy gently. She still kept very close to the only friend she had right now. "What are we going to do...?"

Mindlessly, Hiroko continued to draw into her notepad. More dark creatures, strange ones, twisted ones, mysterious figures and beings, all done without thinking. She no longer could control her hands as they reached for the color pencils, as they made the strokes and colors for these creatures. No, she was not in control of her own mind and body. The mansion was in control now.

~*~*~*~

As the demonic creature continued to charge himself at the barricaded door, and once Ichigo and Sparx had calmed their beating hearts enough, Ichigo turned his attention to his wounds. He grimaced at the red liquid dripping from his arms and sides. There were gashes mostly to his left side, on his torso and left arm. The worst was on his torso, and Ichigo didn't dare look at how bad the gash was. "Sparx.....get my backpack....there's supposed to be....a health kit in there...." Ichigo gritted his teeth in his pain.

Sparx nodded, carefully slipping the backpack off Ichigo's back, and searched for the health kit. After pulling out a few things, he managed to pull out the medium sized white box, and opened it. He found some antiseptics, and a roll or two of bandages. He helped Ichigo clean his wounds, Ichigo wincing the whole time, and wrapped the bandages around his wounds. Both kept turning towards the door as they heard more banging against the door, both filled with fear that at any moment the demon would burst through the door and tear them to shreds in his razor sharp, bloodstained teeth. How in the world were they to get out of here? They were stuck in this room, Ichigo was injured, and if they stepped outside the door, the creature would kill them.

The rabbit only nibbled innocently at his carrot, seemly oblivious to the danger they were all in. The rabbit looked around the room curiously, and hopped around, exploring the room. It was then that the rabbit triggered a switch. A sound was heard, and both Ichigo and Sparx whirled around at the sound, startled. "What was that?!" they exclaimed in unison, eyes wide. They looked over to where the rabbit was, and to their surprise, a passage that was not there before had appeared.

"A secret door?" Sparx whispered incredulously.

"Seems like it....." Ichigo looked over at the door the demon was banging against, noticing cracks around the border of the door. "Sparx, we should go through it. It might get us away from that thing...." he winced as he said this.

"But where would it lead to? What if there's something worse past that door?" Sparx asked.

"I'll take my chances, let's just go! That door won't hold for much longer, and I don't want to meet face-to-face with that thing again...!" And with that, Ichigo rushed, grimacing in pain, through the passage. Sparx hesitated for a bit, then picked up the rabbit sitting on the floor and rushed into the door. As the secret passage's door closed, the monstrous creature broke into the room, shattering the wooden door and the dresser that had been in it's path, only to find his prey had disappeared. It growled and sniffed at the room, but they were nowhere to be found. Sparx and Ichigo had escaped the demon, for now, anyway.
