The ball flew passed the defense men and now it was all up to the goalie. Aki watched the ball as the goalie jumped up to stop it, and he did.

"Woo!" Aki exclaimed in cheer, but he didn't stop his run that was already in full speed and he accidentally rammed into Sparx from behind, knocking the both of them off balance.

But this was a costly mistake. The ball was already back into play again when this happened and the coach blew his whistle and shouted "FOUL!"

"What?!" Aki could hear Hiro scream this from the sidelines. "You idiot!" Obviously, Hiro was much too consumed in the game right now...

So. Aki lifted himself off his opposing team player, Sparx. He didn't seem to be phased by the fact that now Sparx would have a free kick where the 'foul' occurred...but that was just Aki. Kisu was shouting at him too, from the sidelines. She had seen that most of the freshmen's goals were from fouls like this, cause seniors were sometimes purposely rough like this in the game. Taku just wondered why Kisu and Hiro were so alike, but at the same time, very incompatible.

Hiroko blinked from where she was on the field as she watched Sparx and Aki go down. She cupped her hands and shouted over to Sparx, "Sparx, are you okay?!"

Sparx weakly got up from the ground, feeling somewhat dizzy from being knocked down out of nowhere by Aki. He shook his head rapidly as he tried to stop the spinning of his eyes and regain his focus. He looked behind him at where Hiroko was, and waved a bit, grinning sheepishly. "Y-yeah, I'm fine, Hiroko! Just a little shook up, but other than that, I'm good!"

Hiroko bit her lip, and shouted back, "Okay, glad to hear it, Sparx!"

He nodded, and looked over at the coach as he heard him call the foul. Sparx's face brightened a bit; he would get a free, second chance at making the goal! He returned his attention to the one who had accidentally knocked him down, and frowned a bit. "You okay, Aki?" he asked, his voice hinting in concern, though he knew that the fall hadn't been that bad; he still wanted to ask to be sure. Sparx and Aki might be on opposite teams, but that didn't mean that they couldn't be good sportsmen.

Aki responded with a light laugh and said, "I should be asking you that. I'm the one who knocked you over."

At about this time, Lily strolled in to meet with her guy-friends. Hiro, of course noticed her first. He could smell her beautiful aroma from yards away.

"Lily!" He greeted, then he frowned. "Hey, where have you been? Why aren't you in your gym clothes?"

She sat down beside Aki's book before answering. "I'm skippin' gym."

"Why?" Hiro crossed his arms after he sat down beside her. "Isn't our teacher going to see you and you'll be in trouble? Or something?"

"Why would you care? You get into a lot of trouble yourself." Lily smiled, as if this little fact about Hiro aroused her, but then she continued. "But today I'm allowed to skip gym for a reason. But I ain't telling you guys what it is." Lily hmphed.

"Well, that's fine, just as long as you still want to hang with us." Taku smiled.

"Agh! I hate secrets..." Hiro sighed, "Whatever then."

There was a long pause, then Hiro spoke up, "Do you have a sprained ankle? Asthma? Allergies to soccer balls?"

Taku couldn't help but to laugh.

"Shut-up." Lily rolled her eyes at Hiro and looked over at Kisu. "...Er, Miss Preppy is being Miss Peppy, today?"

"Yeah, it goes hand-in-hand, ya know." Hiro remarked.

Sparx grinned a bit, rubbing the back of his neck. "Heh-heh, I guess ya have a point there," he laughed. "Well, anyways, I guess I should get to kicking that ball and stuff for my free shot, so...yeah." He waved a bit at Aki as he went over to get the ball and position it on the grass where the foul had occurred. He looked straight ahead, at the goalie in front of the net who was anticipating Sparx's kick. Sparx debated in the direction where he should kick the ball so to have the best chance of avoiding being blocked by the goalie and actually making into the net of the goal. He bit his lip, and with a swift movement of his leg, kicked the ball hard, sending it spinning forward through the grass and zipping underneath the goalie, going between the goalie's feet and slamming into the net. Sparx grinned in slight triumph, and punched the air. "Whooo!!! Score!!!!" he cheered. That made one more goal for the freshmen...compared to the hundreds the seniors probably already had.

"Hey, look, one of your freshman buddies just scored." Lily said as she peeled the wrapper of a chocolate bar down.

"What?! NOOOO." Hiro was being dramatic yet again. "This is all Aki's fault."

"We're...still winning, Hiro." Taku reminded him.

"Well so? They're catching up one goal at a time!"

"I don't think so...I mean, class is almost over." Taku tapped his watch.

Hiro's eyes brightened, "Really? School's almost out!!!"

"Huh?" Kisu whipped around, smacking Lily in the face with her pom-poms. And those things can hurt. "No! Today's FRIDAY and that means I won't see you guys until MONDAY!"

Lily glared at Kisu and her evil pom poms. She wanted school to be out as badly as Hiro did so she could come over to the triplets' house---an after school tradition the four of them had unintentionally started when they first met.

"Er, maybe you can come over on the weekend, Kisu..." Taku suggested weakly. He knew it was unlikely that would happen, but he just wanted to say something to keep her happy, if only for the moment.

"Nice shot." Aki politely commented to Sparx. "I think I'm going to get Taku to come in for me for the last bit of the class." He ran over to where his usual gang was and told Taku he wanted him in for the last bit. Taku nodded and ran into the field before the teams started kicking the ball around again.

"GO TAKU!" Hiro shouted, he wanted to give his little bro all the support he could. Truthfully, Aki just wanted to read his book again and if Hiro went back in, he'd get another bunch of goals and be the most hated senior ever--or something.

"Hey. Where've ya been?" Aki murmured to Lily as he picked up his book and sat beside her. He opened the book up to the bookmark he planted there before.

"Around." Lily shrugged and savored the moments that she and Aki were sitting so close they could touch. She thought Aki hadn't noticed, and that was why he didn't care.

"I see." Aki didn't press for more information and started reading again. Until Kisu plopped down on the other side of him.

"Aki-kun, I saw your fall! I hope you're okay~" Kisu tried to make eye contact with his lime eyes but couldn't because he was too focused on his book.

"I'm fine." Aki said in an exhale.

Lily just hated the way Kisu looked as she probed for attention from the oldest of the triplets. It was so obnoxious, yet Aki could ignore it. But he could also ignore that he was sitting just a millimeter apart from her, and that was annoying too. But he was so cute in his gym shorts---all three of them were.

Sparx nodded, grinning his usually cheerful grin again. "Thanks!" He said simply, nodding a bit as Aki left to switch with Taku.

As soon as Taku ran into the field, the game was off again. And as per usual, the seniors were the first to get the ball, kicking and passing it as they made their way to the goal on the freshmen's side. Sparx charged toward the one who had the ball and successfully kicked the ball away from him. The ball was now flying through the field, with people chasing after the ball. Several of the freshmen, inspired by Sparx's enthusiasm, rushed through the field to get to the ball.

Hiroko, being doubtful in actually being able to get the ball from anyone if someone else got the ball, stayed by the goal, more or less pretending to be defense, though she wasn't sure that she was good at defending goals either. To put it short, Hiroko wasn't exactly confident in her skills in sports, and soccer was one of those said sports.

The ball flew until Taku jumped up and bounced it off his head to one of his teammates. His teammate kicked it towards the freshmen goal now, but it seemed like freshmen were surrounding so she kicked it right back to Taku, the only one of her team she could see at that second. Taku caught the pass and kicked it farther towards the freshmen goal, he was about ready to shoot when the freshmen used their swarming 'technique' again, but this time, they got the ball from him and tried to race to the other side of the field again.

"Hmm...looks like those kids are putting up a fight now, thanks to your blond buddy." Lily observed the game without enthusiasm.

"Taku can handle it." Aki spoke without even looking up from his book.

"Yeah! That's right!" Kisu agreed much too eagerly for anybody's liking, but nobody said anything.

"Well, he BETTER be able to handle a bunch of 9th graders." Hiro looked furious.

"Be good." said Lily, "Of course he can handle it, he's the most patient one out of everybody here. Even if he doesn't get a handle on the ball, it's not like he's going to blow up, try to beat one of them and get a huge foul, like maybe you would do, Hiro." Lily laughed.

Hiro just sat in the grass with folded arms and hmphed with a pouty lip.

The freshmen began to work as a team; two or three teammates would run alongside the one who had the ball, helping to block the seniors from taking the ball, while the others ran close by at a distance, so that when it became necessary, there would be teammates for the person with the ball to pass to. This strategy worked decently, for the most part, but it was dependent on the freshmen who were helping to guard the one with the ball, which was hard because the freshmen team still weren't exactly all that skilled in this game, and making sure that the seniors didn't get past their 'defense' was a bit tricky.

Sparx grinned, pleased that his team was now getting into the spirit. There probably wasn't enough time left to make enough goals to win, but at least they were trying now.

Hiro pulled down some silver shades from the top of his head and rested them on the bridge of his nose. "So Lily," He nudged her in the stomach area a bit, "are you coming over to our house tonight or do you need a drive home?"

"Duh, Hiro, I'm coming over. Why would you even ask?" Lily sipped on a bottle of water, secretly fawning over Hiro's cool looking sunglasses. They made him look ten times more cooler than he actually was, and she wondered where she could find some as good looking as those, but more feminine.

"I dunno." Hiro shrugged and looked at her, but she couldn't see his eyes behind his sunglasses at all, "I was just wondering if your father has been coming down on you lately because you barely ever come home directly from school."

"That's the reason why I want to get away and go somewhere else...a place where people actually like me being around." said Lily, and Hiro could tell that she was dead serious. Sometimes, even Hiro worried about her.

Lily glanced at Aki when Hiro didn't respond, only to see that Aki put a bookmarked his book and had the exact same pair of shades on that Hiro did, only these were a black pair. She wondered if Taku had another pair, of a different color---she was pretty positive that he would.

Taku raced behind the freshmen with a few other seniors, trying to get the ball back. They finally did when the freshmen tried to shoot the ball at the goalie a second time, but the goal tender had blocked it and sent the ball back into the field. One of the seniors had control of it and kicked it to Taku who took the ball as far as he could before he passed again. That senior kicked it a bit and passed back to Taku. Taku attempted to get another goal and kicked his hardest at the freshman's net to try and make his brothers happy or proud of him before the class was over. But of course, if he didn't make it, he didn't think it was a big deal.

Unfortunately for the freshmen, their goalie had grown weary from playing for so long in the game, and wasn't able to block the ball as Taku kicked it in. Another score for the seniors. It was just then that the bell rang, signaling that it was finally the end of the class and everyone could go to their locker rooms to get changed and then leave for home. The freshmen team moaned in defeat, although considering the score, it really would not have made much of a difference if Taku had scored or not; the seniors would still have won the game. But while several of the freshmen were discouraged, Sparx was all smiles. He had fun during their game, and their team had actually began to stand some sort of chance against the seniors, of all people, and that's all that mattered to him. He jogged over to where Hiroko was on the field, waving over to her. "Hey, Hiroko, whatcha think of the game?" he asked cheerfully.

Hiroko sighed in exhaustion. "Honestly, I'm glad it's over. Now the torture is over. Ugh, I just hate soccer...." she moaned.

Sparx laughed a bit. "Aw, but soccer's fun!"

"Not unless you're the completely nonathletic one on the team and everyone's glaring at you 'cause you're just standing there completely scared to even go near the ball," Hiroko argued, which was for the most part true. Her teammates always moaned in disbelief or in anger if a ball passed her and she was too slow to get the ball, or something along those lines.

Sparx frowned briefly, but quickly regained his grin. "Hey, you'll get the hang of it eventually, and anyway, don't let 'em get ya down. 'Long as you're trying and you're having fun, that kinda stuff shouldn't matter," he said reassuringly.

Hiroko puffed on her bright, sky blue bangs. "Yeah, I suppose...." she conceded.

Sparx grinned, then looked behind him to where Taku was. "Well, see ya after school then, Hiroko!" he said with a wave and jogged over to where Taku was. "Hey, good game, Taku! That was a nice shot at the end!" he commented, again showing how much of a good sportsman Sparx can be. Even if he did just scream a cheer about how much the seniors stunk.

The seniors cheered at their victory when the bell rang. They high fived victory while the freshmen groaned and made their way back inside the school to change. When the seniors calmed down, Taku turned around to see Sparx there.

"Thank you." Taku said with a smile, "You guys played a pretty mean game at the end...and I think that was because of you, so good going with getting your team's spirits higher too." He fist-punched Sparx happily.

That was about when Hiro, Aki, Lily and Kisu caught up to Taku on the field. Hiro and Aki pat Taku's head at the exact same time with the same grin and the same sunglasses---you could barely tell them apart right then.

"That was totally sweet, dude!" The both of them started to deliberately mess up Taku's hair and then the trio did a three-way fist punch.

While the triplets were off in another world, hyper and happy, Lily spoke out, in a not as happy or energetic tone.

"Yo guys? Are ya going to stay here all day cheering over a victory you already knew you were getting from the start? Just slowly come back to earth now and get changed or we'll be here day and night."

They stopped cheering abruptly and stared at Lily.

"Somebody knows how to take the joy out of people's lives." Aki said while he smiled sarcastically.

"Stick in the mud!" Hiro laughed at her jokingly.

Lily blinked and now realized that she wasn't going to get them to calm down at all right now, they were much too energetic for her at the moment. Lily sighed when Kisu started joining in with them, laughing and jumping; and seriously annoying Lily.

But when Taku started to quiet down and suggested that they should go change, the rest of them calmed down somewhat too.

"So how much homework do you guys have?" Kisu asked innocently enough as they walked in a group to the school.

"Eh...not too much this weekend. Just stuff I didn't get to finish in class." Aki shrugged.

"TONS!" Hiro said as he peeled his shirt off--it was sticking to him and he couldn't stand the feeling anymore. "I didn't get much done in class..." Hiro flung the shirt over his shoulder.

"Er...I have...um..." Lily started losing herself. She was walking behind Hiro and now her mind was else where.

"So, what are you doing after school?" Taku randomly asked Sparx as he had been walking back to the school with them. He was also unaware of Lily's spacing out due to Hiro's toplessness. Kisu was nearly drooling too. But the thing was, none of the triplets were buff. They were all thin and not very muscly. Hiro's stomach wasn't shaped, it could be pinched and just a bit of flab would pull out.

But the girls thought he was very cute looking nonetheless. They couldn't picture him, or any of the Chichester brothers being big and buff under their shirts anyway. And of course the sunglasses made him look ten times cooler than he actually was.

Sparx grinned cheerfully. "Heh, thanks, dude!" he thanked, returning the fist-punch. He listened in amusement at the triplets and the girls conversation, not saying much until Taku asked about whether or not he had plans afterschool. "Ah....afterschool?" he repeated. He thought to himself for a moment, and shrugged. "I dunno, really, I didn't really plan anything," Sparx answered. "I suppose I'll just be going home, or maybe going over to Hiroko's, or...." he shrugged a bit. "What about you guys?" he asked curiously.

"Well," Hiro entered the conversation, "Lily's coming over to our house as usual." He wrapped his arm around Lily's shoulder with a grin, hoping he was irresistible to her.

"Can I make a suggestion?" Aki spoke up.

"Of course." Hiro grinned and looked over at his left side where Aki was walking beside him.

"I'm hungry."

"Uh...and?" Hiro raised an eyebrow above his sunglasses.

"I'm hungry, and I want to go to a fast food place." Aki opened the school's door and held it open for all of them. Aki noticed that Lily wasn't being herself when Hiro walked past and she was still letting him put his arm around her. She'd usually be hitting him by now, but she looked totally calm.

"Oh! Good idea. I want that too." Hiro replied and led the way to the boy's locker room.

"Where to? McDonald's?" Kisu followed closely behind the boys.

"No, no way. McDonald's is EVERYWHERE, Kisu." Aki cringed. "How about this, you think of another few places to go to and when we change into normal clothes, you tell us and then we'll decide where we'll go."

Hiro let go of Lily and opened the door to the locker room. "Back in a sec." Hiro winked to both Lily and Kisu.

Aki sighed and walked in behind the flirting Hiro. "So Sparx, do ya wanna tag along with us?" Some of the words of his question was a little mumbled because once the door closed, he had began peeling off his shirt.

"You can invite Hiroko along." Taku said smiling politely.

Sparx looked over at the triplets for a moment, and grinned a bit. "Sure, I guess I can come along," he said as he turned his attention to his locker, carefully moving the dial to their right numbers to unlock the lock. He clicked the lock open and pulled it out as he opened the door to his locker, where all of his things were stuffed into, including his school clothes. He looked over at Taku and bit his lip briefly, and nodded. "Okay, I'll go ask her when I see her if she wants to come too," he said at last, quickly recovering his grin. I mean, it's just asking to hang out as a group to eat, nothing major.... he thought quietly to himself as he pulled off his P.E. shorts and shirt and pulled on his school clothes.

In the girls locker, Hiroko was getting changed back into her own school clothes as well, trying to tune out the noises of the girls' locker room as girls came and complained and cursed and shouted and squeezed and pushed past others as they tried to get changed. It was hard not to think of the girl's room as some crowded cage, since there seemed to be way too many girls in the locker room and not enough space for everyone to move around freely. As she buttoned up her shirt, she grabbed her rather large black backpack from the floor of the locker room and grabbed her personal folder, which stood waiting in the back of her locker, and slammed the door closed. She turned around and waiting quietly while girls in front of her were still getting dressed, not daring to raise her voice to even a mere whisper to ask them to move aside so that she could pass. She felt a shove behind her as someone else wanted to get past, and soon the shove turned to pushing as someone pushed her through the people in front of her, causing her to trip and fall forward as soon as she and the girl behind her were out of the "forest" of girls in front of them. Hiroko sighed as she watched the girl behind her walk on by without so much as an apology, and staggered back up to her feet, the weight of her backpack weighing her down. She never understood how it was remotely possible for the other girls to carry around all their stuff in ridiculously small backpacks, or even tiny book bags that slung over their arms, while she had to carry a backpack that practically could be used for hiking or something.

As she walked out of the girls' locker room, she walked over to the exit of the boy's locker rooms and waited close by for Sparx to come out. Time was passing slowly at the moment, so Hiroko leaned against the wall and slid to the floor. She pulled out a mechanical pencil, one that she always carried with her in her purse, along with a case of .7 lead and a large, white eraser that had gone dirty at the tips from usage, and pulled out a sheet of loose leaf lined paper from her folder and set it carelessly on top of her folder. She stared dimly at the paper, nothing crossing her mind, so she began to draw the outline of a head. She pressed the lead of her pencil hard against the paper, tracing the path slowly as she curved the shape that would be the forehead, cheek, chin, and other cheek of the head. She tilted her head to the side a bit, biting her lip as she wondered what else to draw into the outline, and decided to just draw in some eyes. She boredly drew in the upper curve of both eyes and drew in the ovals that would be the pupils and irises of the eyes. She raised an eyebrow as she finished with the eyes. Huh, they look just like Sparx's.... she thought quietly to herself. She decided then that she would draw Sparx, since it seemed that her drawing was ending up that way already. She drew in his spikey hair carefully, trying to keep the hair style similar to how his hair was. She then got to drawing in Sparx's body and his usual clothes outside of school; a red short sleeved hoodie over a white long sleeved shirt, grey or blue skater-style pants with multiple zippers that crossed here and there on his legs, and his casual grey sneakers, finishing his casual yet skater-ish attire. She returned her attention back to his face, which was currently still emotionless except with the eyes. She drew in carefully the whisker-like marks on either side of his cheek, and then at last she drew in his signature friendly smile. Hiroko smiled silently, pleased at how the drawing had turned out. She wondered quietly to herself if Sparx would like this as a gift, and stashed the picture away into her folder as she waited for him to come out.

"Awesome!" The triplets spoke in sync, while they were doing completely different things. Hiro was having trouble with his combination locker, Aki was buttoning up his black dress shirt, and Taku was searching through his back pack for deodorant.

"I hope Kisu knows of some good places to eat other than a Japanese Mcdonald's." Hiro had finally opened up his locker and was pulling up his black uniform pants around his waist.

"Me too." Aki agreed, not bothering to put on his neck tie or blazer. He stuffed those into his messenger like back pack. They continued to get ready, their stomachs motivating them to go fast until...

"NO!" Hiro suddenly shouted, everyone looked at him.

"What's wrong?" Taku looked utterly concerned.

"My...My tongue ring! It's NOT here!" Hiro started searching frantically through his locker with his shirt half undone.

"Did you take it out during gym?" Aki asked while he buckled his bag.

"YES. I take it out all the time for gym cause it hurts when we get physical or I just fall or something!"

"Okay, calm down, then. It's going to be in your locker somewhere. Why would anybody steal it? It's goes inside one's mouth." Aki tried to calm his brother down.

Taku came over to help Hiro look for it when he was done getting dressed and without even starting to look, he found it on the floor. It was right beside Hiro's shoes.

"Hiro, look it's--"

"What?!"

"Er...it's under your foot now." Taku blinked, he hadn't got his sentence out in time, before Hiro accidentally stepped on it.

"Aw man!" Hiro picked his shiny silver tongue ring off the floor. "Now it's all dirty."

"Don't put it back in your mouth, Hiro!" Aki warned, as if he was a little kid.

"I know, duh. I'm not stupid...luckily, I think I have a travel size bottle of mouthwash for emergencies like this!" Hiro scrambled and dug through his unorganized backpack for the small bottle.

"Emergencies..." Taku shook his head with a smile.

"Yeah. This is a total emergency." Hiro was quite serious, but it was still funny and it even got a chuckle out of Aki.

Lily paced around slowly, waiting and waiting and waiting for the boys to come out with their energetic personalities. As far as Lily was concerned, they took just as long as a girl would in there--or maybe that was just her, because she had nothing to do but wait outside the door. And she could only think of Hiro, despite his tanless pale skin, but considering he was a red head she accepted the fact that he would burn up in the sun instead of tanning.

"HEY~!" Kisu ran over to Lily who was near Hiroko, waiting. She had just got done changing in the girls' locker room. "I think I know a place where we can go!"

Lily slouched into the wall, "Yeah?"

"Yes, I know the boys don't want to go to McDonald's, but maybe they would like just a normal Japanese fast food place! They have American style food there too, along with Japanese food. OR, we have great Italian places! Did you know that Italian food is pretty popular with us, Lily?"

Lily shook her head, "No...I didn't know that. But I DO know that you talk way too much."

"Oh, that's okay!" Kisu smiled, and Lily figured she didn't quite get what she had said. That was annoying.
